“First time here as the place is newer. Have to say it was really good. Food was reasonable in price. Flavors were there. The staff, especially Kishan, were amazing. Checking up consistently. Asking if everything was right or if we needed something else. The Tandoori Chicken was great and the green sauce added a nice hint of spice. The buttered chicken, safe bet, was great. And the chili naan was good twist to the typical naan. Definitely a place to try!“

“We each got a veggie lunch special . I had the tofu in a red sauce it was best i literally ever had . The price was more than fair for the amount of food ! It was so well seasoned and cooked perfectly . The rice was so fluffy and amazing . I was also loving the crispy bread and dips as an appetizer that’s given before you order . Such a nice place to eat I highly recommend this place . Mild was mild it had just the right amount of spice . The hot was making my date sweat but he asked for hot and he got it lol Google and pre game the menu , if you are unsure what everything is incase you’re new to this type cuisine . But I assure you it will all taste good! Will definitely be back again !“

“I am a foodie and hail from New Delhi, India. I can definitely vouch for this restaurant being not only the best Indian restaurant in Chicago but in all of North America. The owner Mr. BK Bajaj is kind and a great chef with compassion and cooks food as if you’re his guest at his home with love. Will definitely come here every time I visit Chicago. And definitely be here tomorrow again.“

“This was our first time here with a toddler and we enjoyed our experience. The ambiance is wonderful and it is nearby our hotel making it very convenient for us to come. The food was fantastic. Not too spicy and our kid enjoyed herself. The services was great. Empty plates were taken up right away without being asked and the water was also replaced without being asked. A wonderful experience and will definitely come back again.Vegetarian options: The paneer makhani is fantastic and one of the better dishes we've had.Kid-friendliness: There is a high chair“

“Food: I had masala tea & combo medu vada/idli.Very good taste. They serve three types of chutneys, I liked all and also they serve sambhar.Masala Tea quantity was a big full mug. I don't find these quantity in other Indian restaurant. Typically it is less quantity. They have options for buffet on selective days.Service: Server was very attentive and response was quick.Atmosphere: It is nice & comfortable seating arrangement to be with your loved ones, friends and family.“

“Street food is my jam!Plenty of parking but rolling up on a weekend can make for some busy times since it's in the same plaza as Patel Brothers.Tried the Chicken Masala sandwich with the mango lassi and really enjoyed them! The sandwich was served with some packages of ketchup and it added a nice tangy acidity to the sandwich. I enjoyed the crisp bread and the veggie fillings as well. Also ordered the samosa chaat and surti gotalo. Both had a nice portion. I enjoyed the samosa chaat with all the different veggies on top. The surti gotalo I ordered with roti…overall was just ok for me, I enjoyed the fried eggs on top, the shredded/chopped hard boiled eggs were subtle in flavor compared to the other items I tried.I like that they’re open late and have a number of tables and booths to dine in.Vegetarian options: There are a lot of egg centric dishes as well as other vegetarian dishes offered.Parking: Large parking lot for a strip mall, but it can be very busy since it is shared with the Patel Brothers grocery store.“

“I needed Indian food and this place had it. The dishes made sense and I showed up on Dosa Day, which was an awesome bonus. There was an ever-flowing pot of spiced tea and a picture of the great pyramid of India. I truly felt like a participant in the subcontinental cycle of Samsara.“

“The samosa, saag paneer, dal tadka, and tandoori roti we ordered were incredibly flavorful, all homemade and among the best North Indian dishes I've had in the Chicago area, despite their smaller portions and the absence of rice. However, there was a noticeable lack of staff to manage both delivery orders and diners, resulting in slow service. Hiring more staff could significantly improve the restaurant's efficiency. We initially intended to order some non-vegetarian entrees, but the prolonged wait for the first set discouraged us. It's impressive that the owner and chef single-handedly manages the kitchen, but expanding the team could enhance the overall experience. Bravo to him for his dedication.“

“One word: wow! Turmerica brings authentic flavors and dishes that are often missed at other restaurants. The Misal Pav is a must try! It tastes just like the ones I have had in India, and I appreciate that they serve additional spicy chili oil to increase the spice per your level. The pav was very soft and the portion size was just right! I was also very impressed with the Solkadhi, which I had never had before. It was so delicious that I could probably drink several of those at once! The last thing I tried was the Khasta Kachori. My husband and I both really enjoyed it as a snack! They serve it with the chutneys and yogurt on the side you can add it according to your taste! I will definitely be back to try their other dishes like pau bhaji, wadapav, mango or chikoo milkshake, and the specialty desserts! Btw, they serve Jain food as well!“

“The pricing at Vasco's is very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and taste of the food. You definitely get your money's worth here. Some of the popular dishes that I tried were the peri peri chicken platter and the grilled shrimp skewers. The seasoning on the chicken was perfection and the shrimp had a great charred flavor. On the other hand, the veggie wrap was not as flavorful as I had hoped. The atmosphere at Vasco's is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions.Overall, some pros of Vasco's include delicious food, great prices, and excellent customer service. However, a con would be that some menu items can lack in flavor compared to others.“

“I tried for the first time midweek and was confused what to order given the menu is new to me. The waiter was nice to try to explain and the food we ordered was spicy but not too spicy. Walked out full for the day. They offer buffets on weekends this way you can see and taste rather than stick to a menu of unknown. Will try to visit in weekend sometime and try again. Always curious about international menus.“

“It was a pleasant experience to come here. I was skeptical if the place would live up to its branding as something unique but the dishes were not only tasty but created with care and were different from a regular Indian restaurant. Really enjoyed the chicken sandwiches, the tikka Botis, and even the butter chicken was delicious. I wish the roti were bigger. The waiter and server were concerned to make everything to our liking, we had friends who did not eat spice and they made sure to make their order according to how they liked it. As someone familiar with Indian cuisine, the spice was just right for me. They seemed to focus more on their dishes being flavorful rather than a spice hit, and I was glad to have it that way!“

“We were in Mt. Prospect and were hungry. Looking at options, we saw this has a buffet. Let's go! We got their right as they opened. We were told to seat ourselves. The buffet had a lot of options. My kid loves butter chicken and said it was very good. Naan, samosas, and especially the briyani were all delicious. Briyani had a bit of kick to it as well. This did not taste like generic buffet food! When we came in around 12, the place was empty. Sitting there, no one came in until near the end of our meal. My kid said it was creepy and quiet. No music and a buffet to ourselves. They have a dinner buffet as well, and we will try soon. I'll update my review based on that.“

“Visited here 3 times this year for the iftar buffet. It's was a very good experience all 3 times, mashallah. But I was a little disappointed in my 3rd visit. There were no vegetarian options in your buffet menu. I had a person with me who was a vegetarian and could not eat anything except your raita with fried rice. I would like to request the management to please have a couple of vegetarian options available in your buffet daily. Apart from that pleasant atmosphere friendly staff.“

I would highly recommend this restaurant as a great place to gather with loved ones and enjoy a fantastic dining experience. Don't just take my word for it; I encourage you to come and see for yourself what makes this place so special.“

“We go for the masala dosa which is huge and depending on who makes the chutney its been good and its been meh. Never bad just never the same. The sambar is spicy and taste good. We've had mutton briyani and again depending on the day it can be great or just average. Definitely needs to get staff but this place is hardly full. Also the hours can vary if owner wants to leave early. I'm just glad masala dosa is tasty.“
