“Last week I was on my way to take my son for a haircut and decided to stop and eat here. It was my first time. Service was great and food delicious. I was not having a good day but tried my best to not show it. As I'm eating I saw a man come in. Eat by himself and then left. My surprise when I went to go pay. This man had paid for my food. Who ever it was Thank you so much if this is ever read. That was a beautiful gesture and completely made my day. I got my son his haircut and took him for some ice cream afterwards. “I just found out about this place and called for pick up just before they were going to close. He is so nice and genuine to speak with on the phone, my food was hearty and savory. The atmosphere is fun and colorful and I ended up getting the last slice of Flan!

“Had the Steak Burrito. The presentation, size and taste were what I expected. They had the good hot type / red sauce which some other places don't have. However it seemed as if the lettuce and tomato overpowered the steak/ beans & cheese? Not quite sure but something was off with the lettuce ? It did seem to be the typical shredded lettuce I've had in other burrito's?“

“This is a taqueria within a small Mexican grocery store. The food is fabulous, the carne asada tacos are delicious but the barbacoa is also excellent, not to mention probably the best carnitas I've ever had outside of Chicago. The barbacoa and carnitas are also available by the pound which is an awesome option. The ambience is very basic, two tables and a few chairs, not pretty but the food is phenomenal and prices are very reasonable.“

“We went to Mago in Barrington last night for the first time and were blown away. They were very busy so we sat at the bar. Service was fast and friendly. Food was terrific and the menu features things you won’t find at your standard Mexican restaurant like three choices of mole. Tableside guacamole is absolutely lovely. I have to say, though, what made our experience was watching the magnificent bartender. His efficiency, speed, and obvious dedication to what he was doing was just a marvel. He never stopped moving! We will definitely be back as every aspect of our experience was very enjoyable.“
