“I've been coming here for awhile, and have always loved the food. The difference is lately (last couple months or so)I've noticed a change in the presentation and cleanliness of the restaurant, the morale of the staff, and just the entire energy of this place has changed. Disney bingo is a great example. That place was insanely busy yet everyone was happy, service was great, and the guests didn't suffer because of the volume of business. Then the other day I met the new manager! It all started to make sense. I can't remember her name but she was so cute and professional. Her charisma is contagious and I just feel like you guys are doing a great job and moving in a great direction. Happy holidays to you all and thanks for the amazing food from our family.“

“We've not been there since 2017 due to relocation but have nothing but fond memories of Dover Straits. When we bought our house in Grayslake in 1995, our realtor took us there to celebrate. We continued going, mainly for birthdays, anniversaries or impress out of towners, and were never disappointed. We have immediate access to super fresh seafood in Florida but miss the ambiance and supper club vibe Dover Straits provided. Loved that the owners always greeted us like we were worth a million bucks.“

“I’ve been going to Tokio Sake for last 10 years. The food is amazing and the variety of Sake to choose from, the Chefs are creative and consistent . Not many places carry bluefin tuna but Tokio Sake does. Sashimi is fresh and kitchen entrees are outstanding.“

“I’ve seen this restaurant for years (maybe decades?) while going to Napoli’s. It always appears unassuming. A friend and I decided to stop here randomly and boy was I pleasantly surprised! Great service I need to say firstly. Although the laminated menus don’t have prices, the paper ones at the counter do for most items not Market Price. Don’t let this put you off. My meal was $20.99 at time of payment before tip, for seafood. The insane amount of different whole seafood options and steak specialties, the massive colorful platters, the huge drinks… This is a wonderfully decadently-far cry from my typical Napoli’s trip. BUT they still make the essentials like tacos, sopes, and burritos too. I got the Camarones con Crema de Chipotle, my friend got the Chilaquiles Verdes. Both were on MASSIVE platters and was a great amount of food. Seasoned rich sauce, great shrimp, warm tortillas… My friend’s margarita with the Corona took forever to finish and must have had good quality tequila in it. As the meal wore on, the restaurant had more and more customers for a late Sunday lunch. It didn’t seem so empty and quiet as what you see from the outside, and it was nice seeing people coming in. I would definitely come back again or make a pickup order with the fam. Great job, employees!!“

“I recently attended a special wine Tastemaker dinner with my significant other so this was the review for this experience. We were scheduled to arrive at 6:30 pm for the event so we were a few minutes early and there were additional guests waiting to be checked in. The front desk had 3 attendants which didn't greet anyone, they were busy looking at the computer screen and made guests wait for which seemed like a really long time without acknowledgement. After finally waiting a few minutes we FINALLY got checked in, however we still had to wait for a table even through other people coming in through the door checked in immediately and were seated very quickly. I did not understand how the checking and preparation for this event was organized or even at all. When we did check in, I had to confirm yet again with the attendant that we were here for the Tastemaker event. Then again we waited a few more minutes which seemed quite long even though other people were already seated and served their wine. The overall event was wonderful and great with excellent tasting and pairings. I would strongly suggest the checkin process to be better organized especially since I was also a VIP Opentable member and go to Ruth Chris frequently. I may reconsider not attending these future events for the way that this whole checking process was handled.“

When I finally moved back everything was just how I left it. Best crab rangoons. I will never stop eating here. Even if they send me a fried boot. “The “Codfather”cod sandwich was very disappointing. The steak burger made with ground filet mignon sounded like a great idea, but the texture of the meat was the same as the texture of the bun; it was a bit off putting. The hamburger was good, as was the French dip sandwich. The fries were good, also. And, as always, the carrot cake was excellent. The service and ambience were both great. Sometimes a visit, even to a restaurant, isn't all about the food. We had a lovely time.“
