“Came around 10pm server was a nice man, food could’ve been quicker, as we started filling up on breadsticks during the wait. The two hostess, however were conversing very loudly about their personal lives and were glued to their phones, no greeting and neglected us leaving without even a bye, not a good look. “I come here so often, I’d consider myself a regular but I’m too shy to really build rapport with anybody here.
Over in oak lawn, there’s not a lot of pho options to begin with but I’d travel the distance even if I didn’t live 10 min away.

I’m very simple with my pho and so my order usually consists of
-A small pho tai,
-maybe some chicken skewers,
-and a type of rice bowl.

The flavors of the broth is so rich every time and it’s consistent enough that I’ve probably been here over 50 times.

Today, I tried their classic bahn mi for the first time and it wasn’t my fav, the bread was a lil too crispy.

I almost gave the atmosphere a 3 but I actually think it’s really cute and quiet inside. And it’s right off the train so you can people-watch out the window.

“I got a sandwich catering order from Starship, and ordered online a couple of weeks in advance. The order was delivered exactly on time, and was delicious. Catering sandwiches were cut in a great way, small enough where each person could have 2-3 sandwiches. Would recommend!“

“Walked in roughly around 8pm, was instantly seated, my server was named Chuy, hands down the best server I’ve ever had. He asked us everything that we wanted instantly brought out our drinks and side courses while we waited on our entrees, made sure everything in our table was full. Above and beyond worker, made us feel comfortable and we truly enjoyed our meal because of the excellent service.

“This restaurant is tucked in a massive, mostly empty building near an Asian grocery store. It gives the vibes of Beijing post 2008 Paralympics when all of a sudden no one made things look good for westerners. It’s cash only.

Despite appearances, this is the most authentic Chinese food I’ve had since I was in China in college! My husband and I went back multiple times while we were in town. It was great each time. They have an extensive menu so given that it’s not a bustling place, I’m not sure if the more eclectic dishes are super fresh. But again, you’re getting authentic cuisine and that’s sometimes part of it!

The jiao zi are amazing! The portion sizes are great for the price. You can’t get them in this amount or for the cost anywhere else in the Hinsdale or Oakbrook Terrace areas. Definitely recommend!

Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian option for potstickers, dumplings, 2 tofu dishes, and sautéed mixed veggies. They may be able to make other vegetation dishes upon request.

Parking: Parking in front of the restaurant is full up front but the lot itself is quite large. We did not struggle to find a place to park

Kid-friendliness: The building is a wide open floor plan with tables to accommodate families & groups. If a toddler needed to run, there’s lots of space to do that away from others eating. The bathroom, however, would pose a challenge for diaper changes. This building is so massive though that a nursing mom or a diaper changing dad could tuck away in one of the corners and have more privacy than a changing table in a multi stall bathroom. It’s dimly lit on the outer room edges away from the restaurants.

Wheelchair accessibility: It’s all one floor. There are double doors to go through that may not have an operational hands-free opener. The floor layout has multiple tables with chairs and a free wider, open sections to get to the restaurant counter to order“
