“Absolutely love this place. It's one thing to go somewhere and you're order to always be correct but ordering take out always seems like a gamble. Never had a problem. Everything is always correct, hot, and delicious. Definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone that wants good Mexican food. Service is always amazing and they are so friendly. You get such a comfortable at home feel while being there. It's hard to choose a favorite dish but the enchiladas and tamales are phenomenal.“

“Azul was recommended to us by a friend. We had the steak tacos and had to try their Cochinta Pibil tacos. Their steak tacos had great flavor, with a nice selection of salsas. Their Cochinta Pibil tacos are a must try! Their Cochinta recipe is over 100 yrs old and has been handed down to the owner. It definitely shows in its unique and distinctive flavor topped with a traditional pickled red onion with a touch of habanero. So good!!! They have a small menu, but it's about quality and not quantity. The drinks were great, and the service and hospitality from the owners was very good. You can tell they take pride in their dishes. We'll definitely be back again for their authentic Cochinta tacos, and look forward to trying their other menu items.“

Very accommodating with slight adjustments to meals. Cost of a bottle of Corona Light over $6 - too high and no draft beers at all. Taco chips not my favorite and the guacamole was only so-so. Overall, good but there are so many Mexican options in the area to explore as well.“

“Just moved in the neighborhood about two weeks ago we are just down the street from the restaurant in Joliet was looking for a good Hispanic restaurant and my daughter referred me to Taqueria Los Paisanos all I can say is outstanding service. The employees are wonderful. The atmosphere is beautiful. The food is to die for the only thing I wish they had was the mariachi bands on Friday and Saturday night. I would highly recommend stopping in and saying hello to the staff and ordering some food although I am Greek and love Mexican food, this Has to be by far the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. “I recently ordered 150 tacos for a party and they were just divine. The owner was so great to work with, very kind and helpful. Plus they deliver which made things 100 times easier! They had many protein options which was nice for a change compared to some other places that only offer chicken/beef. The tacos themselves were packed with meat- definitely was not skimpy and the tortillas held up and didn’t break apart. Everyone continuously asked where I ordered from. I will definitely be ordering again for our next event. Can’t wait to try the other meat options!“

“My wife and I visited Pepper Mill on February 1, 2024. Tye restaurant was clean and taken care of. We were immediately acknowledged after entering and seated within a couple minutes. I ordered the Turkey dinner which was recommended by friends. A couple and salad accompanied the meal and it was on special that evening. The soup I selected was cream of chicken rice. Tye flavor was good but I felt it needed to be thinned out. Salad was fresh and enjoyable. The Turkey dinner was thinly sliced from fresh Turkey breast. The meat was tasty and not dry. It was layered over stuffing that was lightly seasoned. I chose mashed potato's and steamed broccoli. The potatoes tasted like they were either from a box or a mix of boxed and fresh. The broccoli was fresh and cooked nice. The Turkey gravy was layered over the potato's and the Turkey. It was flavorful and seasoned nicely. My wife chose the Meatloaf and said it was good also. We both felt the price was reasonable and we would return. Our server was excellent and added to the experience.“

“This past Saturday we had family over and so we decided to order a 10lb catering tray of carnitas. Price was good at about $78 bucks for the 10lbs. Carnitas were amazing! We got mostly meat and I'm glad we didn't get a bunch of cartilage and bones like other carnitas spots do. We are on day 4 of carnitas dinners now due to lots of leftovers it's tortas ahogadas for tonight! Highly recommend their carnitas!“

There is a bit of a language barrier if you don't speak Spanish, but its fun to trying and figure out what to order. They have a weekday special, such as Dollar Taco nights. Its near the railroad tracks, so if you a railroad fan, its the place to go. lol. It is kid friendly. But if you go later is mostly adults.“

Portions are huge! We both had the mini burritos, and neither of us could finish them. They serve complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa is very good...not spicy, but very flavorful. Chips were good, nothing special, but good. They also serve two sauces, red and green. Both yummy--but the red is very spicy. I loved it; hubby said it was too spicy. Some reviewers complained about the prices here. I don't get it. A mini burrito is $7...$8 with a drink. Completely reasonable considering the size, and the very generous portion of steak and chicken. The girl who took our order was nice, but misunderstood our order. Language barrier? I ordered bean, and hubby ordered chicken. We were delivered a steak and a chicken. But she apologized and offered to remake the order. We were ok with the error, and we took what she brought.
