“First and foremost, the staff is hands down the best! Literally the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered! And I’ve tried a few things on the menu and nothing has been a let down. Usually I regret straying from “the usual” but I never do here. The crab rangoon is the best I’ve ever had, the wings surprised me with how tasty and well cooked they were, the basil chicken egg rolls were bomb (so is the basil chicken over rice), and the Khao Soi is a best seller for a reason!“

The soups are hearty and flavorful — perfect for a chilly day — and the ice cream is rich, creamy, and full of creative flavors. The staff are friendly and always willing to offer samples or suggestions. The place has a cozy, hometown vibe that makes you want to come back. My only small gripe is that seating can be limited during peak times. Otherwise, it’s a delightful spot for a satisfying meal and a sweet treat!“

“Wok Dong on is phenomenal! It’s a Colombian and Chinese fusion place. I’m talking tostones and egg rolls! Along with Fish à la plancha. And Wonton and Chicken Latin soup. I am so glad to have found this place. The food is fresh and you can tell that the owner is proud of what he’s serving. He’s from Colombia and the business has been open for about 6 months. I highly recommend! It does have parking in the back in case you can’t find any on the street! Just thought I’d shout out a small business with great food!

“The best goulash and meat products.They do smoke the sausage and salmon here. Steaks are high quality, aged well.

Vegetarian options: Stuffed peppers with rice and vegetables, delicious cabbage,Feta goat cheese .

Parking: They have free parking on the side, and paid parking right by their entrance.“

“My family and I cannot get enough of Alisha's cakes. Her tres leches is the best ever. We typically get the Oreo tres leches for our birthdays now. Everyone asks for Alisha's cakes for their birthdays. The cake is dense and rich so we usually serve smaller slices (but people will go back for seconds).“

They were friendly and fast and even put my order in a to go container per my request in case I had to leave quickly or couldn't eat it all. I had a 16oz Moody Tongue Here's to Harry IPA, perfectly chilled and delicious 😋. I also had the Blue Cheese Holy Cow Chips. They were good, but too much Blue Cheese for my taste. I only ate about half and then had to board. I took the rest with me, but didn't end up eating them. Jorge provided great customer service. Reasonably priced. “After a day of hiking within the Indiana Dunes National Park, my friends and I came here under the recommendation of one of us within the crew who was from Korea, referencing this establishment as her favorite Korean restaurant in Chicago, and it did not disappoint. We ordered some dishes that I normally wouldn't order in Korean restaurants, and it was the right move.

I am certain that the fact we were hungry played a role in elevating the taste for us, but everything to me tasted good. The free pancakes were too oily for me, and the free banchan was good in the most standard manner. The short ribs (galbi) didn't have enough salt on it, but had enough pepper which helped preserve some of the taste. Since it was Korean beef short ribs, I was already happy just having some available. These are just the dishes that I felt less passionate about relatively.

Apart from the dishes mentioned above, everything else was a hit. The charbroiled mackarel had really good flavor along with just the right level of crispiness, and adding a hint of lemon juice gave it a new level of flavor that elevated the dish even more. The pan broiled octopus dish had really tasty base sauce, which had a good amount of gochugaru and probably gochujang. I even mixed some of the base sauce with extra rice. The beef soup with ox blood contained solid blood chunks that had very good texture, and the soup itself was seasoned very well. Finally, the babyclam soup noodle wasn't too salty, and had the right type of ingredients to make this dish a very comforting experience after a long day of hikes in the winter season.

I noticed that some of the reviews mentioned that it was difficult to locate a spot. That wasn't my experience. The store was nearly empty when my friends and I arrived on a Wednesday evening at roughly 6pm, and the owner was able to point us to the round table since we had 5 people in total. He was pretty clear about a party of 4 using a rectangular table and a party of above 5 using a round table, in classic Asian grandpa fashion, and I loved it.“

“The service was great and the food was great as well, I tried doing the never ending pasta but I got too full way too fast because the appetizers were so yummy. I took my siblings there for dinner because it was my youngest sisters birthday and when we let the waitress know about her birthday she came back with every worker to sing her happy birthday which was totally unexpected and they also comped the dessert ! We never expected that so it was truly a sweet thing.“

“best sushi in the chicagoland area for me! this little stall inside Hmart Niles’ food court is such a hidden gem. my husband and i actually come here once a week now, it’s officially become our comfort-food spot. i’m not a raw-sushi person at all, but they have amazing cooked options. i'm obsessed with the salmon yaki roll. seriously, it’s that good, always fresh and consistent.

we chatted with the owner once, and he told us he even makes the wasabi from scratch. the wasabi alone deserves an award, so flavorful, not the harsh store-bought kind. the owner is almost always there, making the sushi himself and running things with such a friendly vibe. he truly deserves recognition. this is literally the only sushi my stomach can tolerate, so that says a lot.

and it’s not just the sushi. their entrées are unforgettable too. my husband swears by the chicken katsu: crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and the portion/price is super fair.
