“I'd never had Zarlengos until they catered a special event at my school, Prairie State College, last semester, where they handed out zar bars to the students. That ice cream bar was better than any I've found in a grocery store. I've visited Zarlengos several times since to try other ice cream flavors/bars as well as their gelato and I can confidently say that Zarlengos beats out all other ice cream places I've tried in the south suburbs.“

Friendly service and the owner tries to find traditional things from her childhood. She told me about the Walnut Whip and how hard it was for her to find. What an incredible treat! It was amazing. AND they have Curly world's which is the old Marathon bars!! This place is worth the drive. If you are driving far, I would call and ask what they have in stock, as they sell out often.“

“If you haven't been here yet, you *need* to go. Soft serve is soft serve - theirs is as good as you'll find anywhere. It's the toppings that make their sundaes absolutely INCREDIBLE. The other stuff is good, too, but those sundaes are really special.My personal favorite is the Candyland. It's got cotton candy powder mixed in and on it, and is topped with miniature Haribo gummy bears and a healthy dollop of whipped cream. It's ridiculously good!“

“I am so glad my friend suggested to check this ice cream, popcorn, and candy shop. After stepping inside the door I turned into a big kid instantly. It was amazing the selection of candy. The staff had great customer service. I was amazed by their patience as I took it all in. The prices were responsible and the store was very clean. The ice cream tasted amazing and once they told me it comes from Shermans in Michigan, I knew that is why it was so good. It felt like a small world when they said where the ice cream comes from. I plan on returning for the holidays as I gather gifts for family and friends. This was definitely worth the 45min drive to check out. Plenty of parking and the buildings look like small town downtown area, I'm sure in the summer the line goes out the door.“
