“We’ve been going to Dempster Fish for years and years, and it’s still our absolute favorite. It’s always super fresh, very well prepared, and it’s absolutely fantastic. We drive 90 minutes round trip just to have it. Better than any of the super expensive places in the suburbs. Very highly recommend!!“

My must haves are mussels and volcano roll but of course I always order another roll accompanied by miso soup. Sometimes if there is space and you want something sweet you should try mango maki.“

“We were staying next door and trying to find a lunch spot. We chose Sando Street, and were very happy we did. First time trying a sando. We got the Bulgogi and Tonkatsu Sandos. They were excellent! They tasted very fresh, great combinations of flavors and textures. Tip: eat the sando from the wrapper as long as you can, otherwise bits of sando fall out. (That’s what a fork is for!). Staff was very nice and helpful. Atmosphere was decent - it is a small place with a couple of booths, a few tables, and a counter. While we were there, we saw quite a few carry-outs go out the door. Highly recommended.“

“I called ahead on a Tuesday for their dinner reservations, we were told they weren't busy that night so we went ahead and made the one hour drive just for their sushi and their great reviews. We had the best experience and their sushi was truly top notch. We basically ordered everything on the menu from sushi, caviar to desserts and drinks. they did not disappoint, customer service was superb. The owner even came outside to attend us, he showed up with his own bottle of sake. I truly appreciate the great experience we had at this beautiful and clean restaurant. I have nothing bad to say, the food was high quality and extremely delicious. I definitely recommend this location, even if you have kids which I did. We left so happy and satisfied, loved it.“

“This place is so adorable I love it so much! I had the spicy beef kimchi bowl and it was incredible. My partner got a tonkontsu bento box and they were also very happy. The tea is also delicious, and the staff are super friendly! If you're ever in the Glenview area I would highly recommend, 5 stars all around.“

Octopus and salmon Sashimi were the dessert orders from our kids 😂 We will definetly be returning, and highly recommend. Tempura battered Brussels sprouts were pretty good - light crispy exterior with light batter and interior was cooked but not mushy

Hibachi salmon x 2 - carefully plated but lacking the usual shredded cabbage, maki, small salad or miso soup that completes bento boxes, especially given the price point of $19. Even for lunch this was a bit bare. The flavors were ok, a tad salty but the broccoli 🥦 balanced it out a bit.

Special roll was served on foil 🤨 , sushi rice was not quite right , but the fish had plenty of sauce and toppings so hard to tell the quality.

Overall, not the usually Japanese set but not bad.“

“I am not local, this is a regular go-to place for a friend, so when I visit with her, she wants to bring me. I had a Chinese Eggplant with chicken dish, flavorful and spicy. Also had some nigiri sushi, all very good. The Black Tobiko was plentiful and fresh. The Tamago and Inari, which are types of sushi that are deceptively simple seeming but really show a chef's knowledge and artistry, were excellent. I'm sure I will go again.“
