They were so nice, engaged with everyone, and my son loved the men working and he’s two so he loved doing fist bumps and they even cut his chicken tenders up for me so they would cool faster. “I just love this little sandwich shop. We weren’t really hungry but realized we were close by so decided to stop. For “not very hungry” I sure did eat a lot. The ham and brie is my favorite. So so good. The ham is shaved thin and stacked thick. The brie is fresh. The bread is fresh and perfectly crusty on the outside but soft inside. The owner, Arthur, was quick to get me a requested cup of ice for my drink (I’m that person). He was also friendly, stopping to chat a bit, during a lull. Not many lulls at Deliska though. Seems to be a popular dine-in AND takeout. Arthur said their sign is (finally) arriving soon. I expect being noticeable from Waukegan Rd will really up their walk-in business. Try their sandwiches. “Cool cafe with a bunch of eclectic nicknacks and wall art. I got the goat cheese crostini which comes with a side of roasted tomato relish. It was good but it didn’t blow my socks off. It almost seemed like it was missing just one extra ingredient or garnish to take it to the next level.

Mary the owner catered our wedding party for us, and it was probably the best food we had all weekend. They were able to provide Vegan and Gluten Free versions of almost all of their main menu items, which delighted our dietary-restricted guests. I've tried almost all of the contenders in Chicago (Redlight Chicken, Fry the Coop, The Roost, Honey Butter, etc...) I was amazed at how good this place was! The Chicken patty was flavorful and juicy, nice and thick. I will have to add this place into my rotation! I don't know how I missed it before today.“

“With all the unhealthy junk food out there, it’s always a great day when you find something that’s both healthy and tasty, and affordable! The owners were very friendly, everything was clean inside, and the service was quick. I got the Paneer Fig sandwich and my GF got the Indonesian Ginger BBQ sandwich with chicken, and we both loved it. You also get the option to make it spicy or not. I’d say I have a higher than average heat tolerance, and I asked for spicy but IMO it wasn’t spicy at all. Not a big deal, but if you’re worried it’ll be too hot, it wont be. You also get to choose between chips and coleslaw, we both got the coleslaw and that was just okay. I’d rather try whatever chips they have available next time. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant if you can make it during there unfortunately very limited hours from 11am-2pm.“

“Atmosphere was ok. Bit smaller than i was expecting and a bit of a hole in the wall. But clean with nice wall art. We came at 11:30 and it was not crowded. Got busy at noon. I saw the specials online. They were not on their handout menu so you may have to ask for them. The short rib wrap was delicious. Loaded tator tots were too intriguing to pass up. Generous portion enough for three or four. Delightfully cheesy . Like nachos but with tots instead of chips. Burger was greasy but otherwise fine. Sweet potatoe fries looked dark, like the oil needed cleaning but tasted fine. Service was fast and friendly. Unique choices. Try it.“
