“Went here with my Auntie, Fizi and Nick was very friendly with us, they were guiding us throughout the way and even pointed out what we can do to get a discount. We presented a coupon but we forgot to check the date, it was invalid to use already. But then Fizi helped us with the app and we got the $5 discount (not much but it’s something) Then Nick was friendly and attentive with our food as well. Great staff, good food, good price. “I just love this little sandwich shop. We weren’t really hungry but realized we were close by so decided to stop. For “not very hungry” I sure did eat a lot. The ham and brie is my favorite. So so good. The ham is shaved thin and stacked thick. The brie is fresh. The bread is fresh and perfectly crusty on the outside but soft inside. The owner, Arthur, was quick to get me a requested cup of ice for my drink (I’m that person). He was also friendly, stopping to chat a bit, during a lull. Not many lulls at Deliska though. Seems to be a popular dine-in AND takeout. Arthur said their sign is (finally) arriving soon. I expect being noticeable from Waukegan Rd will really up their walk-in business. Try their sandwiches. You won’t regret it. And take a pic before devouring most of it.“

“I work for ALDI corporate, and we've had Rammys cater our team building event in Elk Grove for three years now. Their subs are AMAZING, they are a breeze to work with and so friendly. My group loves the subs, the bread is fresh and don't get me started on the turtle brownies. On a personal note, the tuna sub is superb. Im very picky about tuna salad and I loved every bite. I saw the specials online. They were not on their handout menu so you may have to ask for them. The short rib wrap was delicious. Loaded tator tots were too intriguing to pass up. Generous portion enough for three or four. Delightfully cheesy . Like nachos but with tots instead of chips. Burger was greasy but otherwise fine. Sweet potatoe fries looked dark, like the oil needed cleaning but tasted fine. Service was fast and friendly. Unique choices. Try it.“

I went a second time to try more things. I wouldn't recommend the potato pancakes. I don't know if it was an off day but the potatoes were dry, like they were left out for too long and then fried.
But the belly lox sandwich was amazing! On the salty side but that's how we like it. It came with a side of potato salad which was also amazing.

I also mistakenly opened a salad instead of just the sandwich, which made my bill seem a bit higher than expected. When I reached out to the manager to clarify the situation, they were incredibly understanding and took care of everything promptly.

“It was the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. The chicken melted in my mouth and the bread crumbled away as I ate it. I devoured it and didn’t leave any crumbs left. It was so clean in the restaurant that I couldn’t even see my reflection on the floor the service there is the best and they are all my best friends.“
