“Chic-fil-A serves delicious, tender chicken, freshly cooked. Their grilled chicken is super moist and has amazing flavor, making for an exceptional grilled chicken sandwich. It hits the spots every time, and they even have a gluten free bun, which is super soft and tasty. I always find myself craving their grilled chicken sandwiches, and I know I can safely eat there with my allergy. They never fail to satisfy the craving.“

It’s sad to see the Green Stripe pizza and Chicken pesto are no longer on the menu. Knowing that these are staples for our family, Brandi and her staff have been able to work their magic and make these items for us.“

“Amazing breakfast spot that was a random find while in the area. Great service and really cute atmosphere. Kids meals are free with adult purchase & the portions of my son’s teddy bear pancakes were huge! Actually portions of everything is huge. The churro French toast was incredibly delicious and included as a side to my omelette…small upcharge well worth it!! If ever in the area again it will be a must to to revisit!“

“On the evening of July 5 my wife and I tried Avaspi on Belmont Avenue in Lakeview for the first time. It will not be the last! I love lamb and am quite particular as to how is it prepared. The “lamb delight” menu item was the best lamb I have ever had in a restaurant: tender, succulent, and prepared to perfection. The side salad accompanying it was not your ordinary side salad! My wife and I both enjoyed the Mixed Meze appetizer plate. Each of the five items was quite good but the muhammara was to die for. We ended our meal with tea, baklava and kubralice. The décor and ambience were refreshing and relaxing, and the service was outstanding. The pricing was very reasonable. Please give it a try. We do not think you will be disappointed.“

Miriam, our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and so accommodating — multiple things were sent to us on the house and after we tried the Arak “milk of lions” and didn’t like it due to its strong liquors taste she was quick to taking it off of our bill and was very receptive of the feedback. You have to try the labneh spreads and beetroot mutabbal too! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who is Suda‘s daughter and came to find out that every recipe on the menu is her mom‘s very own. You can taste the love in every bite. I got a ham and cheese and mustard croissant which was perfect, and the banana coffee cake which was DIVINE. Just wish they could do a toasted and creamed bagel, so 4 stars for customer service.“

I love that when I go there they have everything fresh and everything is in stock and if there’s a waiting time, it’s not more than 10 minutes and the cookies are amazing for dessert. I love that the food is gluten-free even the cookie!
The price is just right for lunch or dinner!

Pepperonis were also high quality, if there’s a problem it lies with the sauce. There's hardly any, not even close to enough on either their tavern or NY style. Order the NY style with extra sauce. The tavern is so thin that there’s barely any room for sauce, if you care. Still solid tavern.“

Our consensus was our favorite was the black ranger with orange and red close behind. We also tried the pink and green and while they weren't top 3 for us, still delicious and we finished them all. “Really fresh, delicious food. I watched the guys making my falafel and trio of kabobs. The baba ghanouj is a stand out - smoky perfection. The kabob combo (chicken, beef & Kafka) was a major hit and the falafel is great. Portions are generous and although prices are not low, they’re really fair given the quality and the quantity of the dishes. Very clean restaurant, very friendly guys who are happy to accommodate special requests. Why we waited so long to order from this restaurant is a mystery. We’ve now been twice in less than a week.

The jicama salad was refreshing, but not at all plain. The pastel de choclo was a wonderful surprise of a warm dish. The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. We are so thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!“
