I had an excellent shrimp and crab cake po boy (pictured) and my companion had the whitefish dinner. The place had a steady stream of locals—this deli is clearly a local lunch hot spot. And for good reason—good food and good value. Not much seating inside, but a decent-sized patio out back which will be great in warm weather.“
“Wow! We loved these guys. Our venue sent us a list of recc'd caterers and I am so happy we went with Amazing Edibles. Firstly Remedy, Sarah Ann and Andrea were super responsive, totally knew all their stuff and were incredibly respectful of our budget and desires. The tasting with them was fun and Very tasty and I can't thank them enough for how our wedding went last weekend. We got to the venue and honestly everything was done and done better than I could have imagined. They flipped the room after the ceremony and I can't get the picture of how beautiful it looked out of my mind! They know how to set a gorgeous table even with our sort of minimal decor. The lead greeted us and asked us only necessary questions and then just got it done which was a godsend because of all the chaos of our families and wedding party etc. We came back to the private room after our photos and there was a gorgeous plate of appetizers and our signature drinks there waiting. All of our guests told us how amazing the food was, bar staff was great, and not a single thing was out of place or late or off. At the end of the night them or the venue staff Both? (they worked in tandem with Ovation, Chicago) handed us a box of all our stuff rounded up from everywhere and thank god they did because by midnight I dunno if we would have been super able to find it all ourselves! Absolute professionals who know exactly how to cater an amazing party. Our venue was super happy that we chose them because they love working with them too and it's clear to see why. “The catering was great BEST deals compared to other restaurants in that area. Food was fresh and flavorful especially the Italian beef.... definitely had me surprised. The fried chicken was good could use a bit more seasoning. Whipped potatoes were amazing you could actually see the melted butter on top, baked beans yummy even the cole slaw was good. “Andrew and his team catered our wedding in October 2021. He is a true pro and the type of guy that makes you feel like a cool and more special person for knowing him. The stunning pictures of his food posted here are truly representative of his talents/execution and are as delicious as they look. Most of all Andrew was an absolute pleasure to work with and was exceedingly patient and kind to us. My mother in law, who has past professional experience in the industry as well, was able to book his team for a subsequent event for her office and she sang his praised for that event as well. He is from Louisiana and has mastered Creole/Cajun classics but was also able to riff off of all our ideas (for a ~7 course cocktail style menu) and provided plenty of helpful feedback to hone the final menu. He even sourced specific product imports from back home to ensure the quality of his dishes. Andrew was flexible and adaptive in responding to challenging/unpredictable situations with grace and poise. I am jealous of anyone who gets to attend one of his events and hope for the privilege again someday soon.“

“It's a shame that there are so few of these delis left in the area; there used to be three or four along a couple of miles of Archer down here (including Bobak's), but I guess the demographics no longer supports them. It was a joy to find this place by accident.We go to this tiny place mainly for the beet borscht, bigos (to DIE for!), and pierogis. I smiled when I noticed they actually have wooden barrels of kapusta and pickled cukes wedged into a rear corner.They have all different kinds of fresh pierogi and, for such a small space, a pretty good sausage/meat selection. I know very little about East European sausage names, but it would probably be wise to call ahead if you are looking for a certain kind.“

It didn't help that 2 couples walked in and went to the bar in order to "jump" the line and 1 couple ended up being seated, that was unfair. It did also take the waitress a while to take our order.
