We went back for the first time in years a few weeks ago and were absolutely delighted by everything. We returned on Sunday afternoon and continue to be bowled over inspite of the noisy laughter coming from a couple of women in a corner booth.“

I got the Beef Bulgogi and the KFC and I am at odds with myself in choosing a winner between the two. I am 100% coming back to try the Tomago and Tonkatsu! The pièce de résistance was the Ube and strawberry dessert sandwich, it blew me away. However, what made this a 5 star experience in earnest was our server Calvin, he gave us so much knowledge and made us feel very comfy and welcome ? he is a G and I look forward to coming back to tell him how I feel about the rest of the menu!!!“

“We tried shio and shoyu ramen, both were great based on your preference. I personally love beef broth ramen, which is rare to find in Chicago. Definitely would go back to try miso broth too. The soup was not too salty like most ramen shops, and the noodles were thin and still al dente, which is quite impressive. The portion size was perfect. I'm not a fan of the backless counter chairs. We went late afternoon on Saturday and the place was nearly full at an odd hour.“

I love that when I go there they have everything fresh and everything is in stock and if there’s a waiting time, it’s not more than 10 minutes and the cookies are amazing for dessert. I love that the food is gluten-free even the cookie!

“The pho broth, meat, and toppings were very generous and delicious. One issue was I ordered the chicken pho but found chunks of beef intestine and quail egg (?) in my soup, and my friend did too. Very odd. Service was very quick though and the restaurant was quite busy. I had bun bo hue at an earlier date and that was also very authentic and tasty.!“

“I really appreciate how clearly the vegan or vegetarian options are listed. They are able to make a few things vegan and a few things are already vegan. Their smoked tofu, although extra to add, is really good. Not bland and mushy like many omni places. They also have a happy hour 4-6 with a few vegan options! I got the chili peanut noodles with tofu and loved it. I also got the corn fritters to start, great just the dipping sauce isn’t vegan fyi.“

However, I found that they tend to put too much sauce on everything, which can be a bit overwhelming. While the ingredients and overall taste were good, the excessive sauce detracted from the experience. If they could dial back on the sauce, it would make for a much more balanced and enjoyable meal.“

“First time doing hotpot! You select your broth, I like that they have a half/half option so you can try a couple flavors and spice levels. You can order the main meats and the rest is self serve, you go up and grab whatever veggies/ additional meats, they also have a couple of cooked sides and a build your own sauce station. Fun experience, fairly priced, I'd go back!“
