“The bartenders are absolutely wonderful here and the beer is without a doubt the best in Chicago! Crystal, Kelsey, Brian and Andrew are fantastic and so personable! Even if I have a bad day they make my mood turn around and are always here to ensure that you’re having a fun and happy time! 100/10! Best bar in the city! 🖤“

“Great food and love the booth“
“Maplewood is a great local neighborhood brewery. It is cozy on the inside, and bright on the outside patio. They have flights of beers, ipas, sloggers and stouts. They've expanded both in space and their menu now includes food. I really enjoyed all four of my mini beers, and the fries were done really well. I love this place. Today I had a flight of four beers, and order of fries, tax and a 20% tip everything came out to 28th from just me“
“Solemn Oath is a great little brewery. Cozy and full of great types of beer. I met some lovely dogs indoor..... Yep they allow dogs inside. I had a really awesome natural aged stout the was creamy with a chocolate aftertaste. There is a pool table inside. Would definitely come back!!“

“Spiteful Brewing Tap room is a relaxed, comfortable space with a wide variety of beers (to drink on premises or take away.)
I had the vienna lager and an IPA. Both were super tasty. My friends and I shared a large pretzel served piping hot with generous dollop of mustard. I am excited to go again soon.“
“The ambiance, friendly atmosphere, quirky and yet comfortable vibe as well as absolutely exceptional beers. From porters, sours and mixed drinks… sets the standard of what kind of brewery I want to be at.“
“Hop Butcher for the World kicked off my 2025 Chicago brewery exploration, and it absolutely set the bar high. Amazing spot with a cool, laid-back vibe and a killer variety of beers. Everything I tried was packed with flavor—these folks clearly know what they’re doing. The space feels modern but not overdone, and it’s the kind of place where you can hang out for a while and just enjoy what’s in your glass. If you’re into hops, this is a must-visit in Chicago.“
“Excellent brews. Very welcoming bartenders. Meg is a gem. The crowd is friendly. The food from Heffer BBQ is delicious, prepared by pit master Shawn and his charming wife, Lenore. The tap room is large, modern, and accommodating. Whiner Beer Company and Heffer BBQ are both highly recommended. 👍🏼👍🏼“
“Attended an event here! The staff were incredible, clean and accessible. Kid and dog friendly! We had a fabulous time and can't wait to return for another event! Thanks for everything!“
“Great beers Great atmosphere. Friendly staff!!“
“Friendly and helpful staff“
“Hopewell has such a cute vibe! I loved the fact that they had a large selection of games for passing your time there as you enjoy the beer. The Lil Buddy was perfect. Just a little something. They also had super friendly bartender who was kind enough to give me a few stickers. I collect enamel pins, so was glad to buy one of those from the merch.“
“I have definitely had some less-than-stellar microbrewery experiences but this was NOT one of them. 100% success rate on the interesting and completely exceptional beer here. Solar flare, Portage Pils, Ridiculousness. Coming from THE Bier Capital of the planet, completely comfortable recommending this small business to do business with. Very good Bier indeed.“
“Great place to have a beer. Roomy, cool vibe, and the staff is great. Bonus: the beer is really good, and there's usually something special on tap.
There's are N/A options as well as ciders and some kid-friendly drinks (pop), and there are generally some kids around, so it's also a nice place for newer parents.
You can bring food or order delivery, so you've got tons of options.“
“Do I recommend this place? Yes, but depending on who is bartending. It’s never a good feeling to over hear a bartender call you derogatory names when you’re feet away from them- great way to lose “regulars” / consistent business.“

“Great atmosphere with a friendly and attentive staff! Bartender TJ is aware of his customers and doesn't make you wait!
The owner Shayne is sweet and fun. You can tell she cares about her brewery, employees and customers.
They also allow children for you parents who need a drink! 😉
Come and check this place out!“
“First time in for drinks & the serving crew welcomed us by a ring of their bell. Their ginger bread brew was fab & we ordered a pretzel. All were very good! 💯 Percent Great experience before the PBR show! Would recommend this place as a definite stop!“

“Nice atmosphere for friends and fellowship“
“The staff is full of chill people who are smart and ready to hang. They also host cool events every month... but I might be a bit bias as one of their event producers 🤗“
“Great beers. Great service and friendly, knowledgeable staff at Dovetail.“
“A delightful space with many beers“
“Yummy beer, welcoming atmosphere!“
“My wife and I were in the area and stopped in on an autumn Saturday afternoon. There was a light crowd, including a baby shower. Very kid friendly. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable about their beers. I had Lightning Will pilsner and Half Step pale ale. Both were excellent examples of each style. My wife had a pumpkin spice ale that she enjoyed. We ordered chips and onion dip from the bar to accompany our beers. We saw others bringing in pizza and sandwiches so it's BYOF, which is nice. The architecture was as you'd expect in a brewery, high ceilings, former industrial space. Dogs are welcome. Overall, pleasant experience. We purchased a pack of Oktoberfest crowlers to take home. Will be back.“
“Great service and fun atmosphere!“
“I just saw the way Off Color Brewing took care of a family of ducks and I think that a staff who would go completely out of their way to help the wildlife in their area survive should be commended to the fullest. Thank you for being such wonderful humans!!!“
“This Bar and Pizzeria had been on my radar prior to leaving the UK, for a short break to Chicago to watch AC/DC. Kev and I weren't disappointed! Great hospitality, a wide selection of beers made on site and a 'cup and char' pizza to die for. Topped off with hot honey, it's one of the best pizzas I've tried. The 'Tommy o two legs' was my beer of choice with most having quirky names inspired by the friendly staff. A great location to visit and one that will be fondly remembered. Keep doing what you do and thanks for the stickers! Cheers Rod & Kev 🇬🇧“
“Love coming here in the mornings! My favorite coffee shop within 10 minutes of me. I normally get a cappuccino or a matcha/matcha lemonade. I love that I can bring my dog in to hang out with me too. It’s a good sized space, and they have a lot of events in the evenings as well.“
“I'm from out of town, and had some great beer! Definitely would come back.“
“Lovely neighborhood brewery. ALL of the staff there is super friendly and welcoming. The beers are solid, they also have a couple of craft cocktails which is nice. They have a couple TVs if you’re interested in sports and you can also order in!“
“We love this place--it's a fantastic place to take friends/family over the summer months because they have 1) the best patio, 2) the friendliest staff, and 3) great food and beer. The inside is also really cozy, so it's kind of perfect for staying warm during the winter, when the sun sets at 4pm and temperatures dip below freezing.“

“This is my new barbecue go-to in Niles. I live close to here, and it is so easy to just come over and have a drink. They host some events, including live music and a book fair. It is a great place to have a party, and just plain have fun. I personally recommend the brisket. The fries here are something to crave. It is in kind of an industrial area. But the brewery has an industrial vibe. I totally recommend this place for anyone looking for a bar/bbq kind of place.“
“Just awesome. Really. I mean, go in, have a look at the 20 or the 10. You would never ever taste another beer like these. Period.“

“We had an incredible experience at Cobra Lounge in Chicago last Saturday! It’s a fantastic venue to watch live music, and seeing The Wrecks perform there was unforgettable. The intimate setting really enhanced the concert experience, and we also thoroughly enjoyed the opening band, Reyna.
Cobra Lounge exceeded our expectations in every way. There was plenty of parking, which made getting there stress-free, and the food and beer were excellent. Jodie, our server, was wonderful—attentive and friendly. The security team was professional and courteous, adding to the overall positive vibe.
We can’t say enough great things about this venue. If you’re looking for a great spot to enjoy live music, this is it. We will absolutely be back!“
“When you're about to turn into N capitol st, make sure you make a wide enough turn from the left lane! Park on the street then go check in, backing up is tight, you have a U turn room at dead-end,
Nice ppl and quick unloading,“

“Amazing food and drinks. We watched the Cubs game!“
“No bowling lanes here! Google summary is wrong. They used to have it at their old stand alone location, but when they moved into District Brew Yards that no longer exists. If google allowed edits or comments like that, I'd do it... but they don't.. so i have to leave a review. sigh.“

“Came here today (party of 6, with three small kids) and everything was wonderful. Very helpful staff, lovely restaurant, and delicious food. We were hoping to sit outside but the indoor ambience was lovely. All of our food was amazing and came out quickly. We had a hard time deciding on how to order food for two toddlers and the waitress stepped right in with suggestions and portion sizes. It really took the leg work out of ordering food and hoping it wouldn’t be too much/too little. This is such a welcome addition to the downtown Skokie area as there aren’t many decent brunch/lunch options so we will definitely be back and we hope Don Julio’s becomes a mainstay here!“
“Great vibe! Happened upon it while in Chicago - highly recommend!“
“They've got something for everybody, for every palette. Lately, my favorite brewery.“
“Great burgers, cold beer !“
“Very cool space. The beers were excellent. I traditionally didn't like Guinness but it turns out I'd never had it served properly. For non stout drinkers they had plenty of other very good options.
Ive been there twice now for their bocce ball league. The first time I had their pub burger and a pint, highly recommend. The second time I went with the bangers and mash. Fantastic.“

“A pleasant neighborhood brewery, bar, and restaurant. We generally order burgers or fish and chips, and enjoy a local beer with our meal. We ordered soft pretzels for our ap, which came with two amazingly good dpping sauces - yum!
Great casual spot.“
“Before the spot burned down, this was my favorite neighborhood spot to visit for good beer and food. The food was always amazing. They served solid bar food and had some amazing dinner options. Also the atmosphere was really cool with the paintings and the windows into the brewery. They also had a wide variety of beer that they would come out with and rotate out seasonally, so it was always worth coming back to try the new beer they released. The parking was pretty good as there was a good amount of free parking near the venue.I talked with the owners and they are planning to reopen. I can't wait for them to come back!!“

“The food was excellent and creative. The blue corn quesadilla with mole was excellent, as were the empanadas with chorizo and the Al pastor tacos. The beer has a wide variety that is home brewed. Not all the beer is hoppy (for those us that don’t like sour beer). The only thing that didn’t go over well was the peach and tamarind miche - a drink with beer which was too spicy and did not have a balance of sweetness. The location is a large airy cement structure with an industrial vibe.“

“Haymarket is a pub on W. Randolph Street that we recently stopped by while waiting for our table at Au Cheval across the street to become available. They have a good sized indoor seating area as well as a few tables near the bar. Several tellies behind the bar showing sports games. Drink list includes a good selection of handcraft beers. We enjoyed a porter and blond that both pretty good, easy to enjoy while watching a bit of baseball and basketball on the evening. Would be happy to pop back in for another round if in the area if in the area again.“

“We tried Pho no. 1 Brewing tonight and we were really happy with it! We’ll be back again for sure! The Pho was a little sweeter than I expected, but it was my first time having it so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The beef skewers, egg rolls, and wings were amazing. All four of us left full and happy! Definitely recommend!“

“It’s a small brewery that makes you feel at home. Wide selection usually about 20 beers on tap. The also package four packs in cooler for you to take home. You can fill up growlers as well. Been coming here since the pandemic and haven’t left. Wonderful small business that steeply has earned its reputation. For food they have rotating food trucks, allow delivery or you can bring in food too!“

“A chill place to enjoy a brew and relax. Love the fact that there aren't any TVs so you may actually have to talk to the person next to you. Food menu is limited to homemade pretzels (which are great) but you can order out if the mood should strike you. Staff is always nice and laid back. Of course the beer is top notch focusing on old school styles (no hazy IPAs here!).
Been a fan for a long time and will continue to be as long they brew up some great beers and great conversation.“
