“Great people. Food is so much better with the new chef. Only thing missing, nachos.“
“Booked the Brewery Tour online very straightforward,we received reminders prior to the tour.
Chris was our Tour guide and he was funny & very informative. The Tour was just under a hour.
Visiting from the UK and Goose Island has been a favourite for a long time it was really good to see the process.
We had a few good sized samples and the Bourbon County Stout was lovely.
All the staff members we met were very polite.
The bar area was busy & had a good atmosphere.“

“Great food and love the booth“
“I literally ran in on Tuesday, as I was driving through to NJ, grabbed a glass for my husband and a four-pack of the most deliciously well-balanced hazy IPA Ive ever had. And that’s saying a lot, as I ran
a 100% American craft beer bar for almost five years. Cudos to Hop Butcher for creating amazingly delicious beer. And thank-you for making my tired palate happy.“
“Busy brewery somewhat off the beaten path. I had not had a chance to make out here previously but specifically made the trip. Busy dog and kid family brewery, the neighborhood seemed to be out to enjoy themselves on an early weekend evening. We found room at the bar and had a couple of drinks. I enjoyed the pils and lager I had. Both were clean and easily drinkable. It was fairly loud with dogs and families but we were still able to converse comfortably. Staff was friendly and attentive.“
“2026 Chicago Brewery Journey – Fourth Stop
Stopped by Maplewood Brewery & Distillery and it’s clear right away this place is popular—very lively with a strong crowd and a great energy throughout. The beer selection is extensive, so there’s plenty to choose from.
One interesting note—the space had a noticeable coffee aroma. Not a bad smell by any means, but a little unexpected when you’re there for beer.
Overall, a fun and energetic stop with a lot to offer.“
“2026 Chicago Brewery Journey – Third Stop
Made my way to Revolution Brewing – Brewery & Taproom, and as expected from a well-established Chicago staple, the selection did not disappoint. There’s a wide range of beers to choose from, and the Hero Flight was a great way to sample several—definitely lived up to the name and had me feeling pretty hoppy.
The space is huge, with plenty of room to spread out, making it a great spot whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or hanging out for a while.
A reliable stop with lots to offer and easy to see why it’s such a big name in Chicago.“
“I have definitely had some less-than-stellar microbrewery experiences but this was NOT one of them. 100% success rate on the interesting and completely exceptional beer here. Solar flare, Portage Pils, Ridiculousness. Coming from THE Bier Capital of the planet, completely comfortable recommending this small business to do business with. Very good Bier indeed.“
“The ambiance, friendly atmosphere, quirky and yet comfortable vibe as well as absolutely exceptional beers. From porters, sours and mixed drinks… sets the standard of what kind of brewery I want to be at.“
“Friendly and helpful staff“
“Excellent brews. Very welcoming bartenders. Meg is a gem. The crowd is friendly. The food from Heffer BBQ is delicious, prepared by pit master Shawn and his charming wife, Lenore. The tap room is large, modern, and accommodating. Whiner Beer Company and Heffer BBQ are both highly recommended. 👍🏼👍🏼“

“First time at Spiteful brewing and it was exactly what you might expect from an independent brewery. Good selection of beers, good location and it looks like they have a very nice outdoor seating area out front.
This day was not conducive to outdoor seating, but I imagine this is a great location during the summer months.“
“Great beers Great atmosphere. Friendly staff!!“
“Do I recommend this place? Yes, but depending on who is bartending. It’s never a good feeling to over hear a bartender call you derogatory names when you’re feet away from them- great way to lose “regulars” / consistent business.“
“Suncatcher is The Place To Be.
Everyone working is friendly and knowledgeable. As a neighbor, I’m happy to have them. It’s a great gathering place to see a few friends, or a sunny time to spend by yourself.
As a beer drinker, I’m pleased at what Chicago has to offer and Suncatcher is in my top 3.
As a hoosier at heart, I love that they use Indiana malt.
Rog is the man.“
“Attended an event here! The staff were incredible, clean and accessible. Kid and dog friendly! We had a fabulous time and can't wait to return for another event! Thanks for everything!“
“Hopewell has such a cute vibe! I loved the fact that they had a large selection of games for passing your time there as you enjoy the beer. The Lil Buddy was perfect. Just a little something. They also had super friendly bartender who was kind enough to give me a few stickers. I collect enamel pins, so was glad to buy one of those from the merch.“

“Yummy beer, welcoming atmosphere!“
“Good rotating beer selection. The have a nice fenced in back patio open during god weather, and large windows that will open for the main bar.
The brewery also schedules lots of fun events, game nights, etc. And they’re a great part of the community.“

“Nice atmosphere for friends and fellowship“
“I passed this place 3 times trying to find it. It's very unassuming, but I was on a mission to finally stop in. It was early and I was the only customer. I chatted with the bartender between sips and reading. I had the Marz and probably the tiger, but can't really remember. I remember them both being good, which is all that matters. They have a decent selection on tap, cans, bottles and cocktails. Again I was there solo, but the vibe from the bartender and space was legit. Kind of reminds me of Half Acres old location before they moved to expand. Hopefully they'll have a similar experience.“
“A delightful space with many beers“
“Small space with a patio in an industrial area, a short ride away from ORD area hotels, about a dozen own taps, flights available, didn’t have a chance to try any food, friendly service, open currently 5 days a week, plus for being open fairly late“
“Great beers. Great service and friendly, knowledgeable staff at Dovetail.“
“This Bar and Pizzeria had been on my radar prior to leaving the UK, for a short break to Chicago to watch AC/DC. Kev and I weren't disappointed! Great hospitality, a wide selection of beers made on site and a 'cup and char' pizza to die for. Topped off with hot honey, it's one of the best pizzas I've tried. The 'Tommy o two legs' was my beer of choice with most having quirky names inspired by the friendly staff. A great location to visit and one that will be fondly remembered. Keep doing what you do and thanks for the stickers! Cheers Rod & Kev 🇬🇧“
“Great service and fun atmosphere!“
“This was my first visit to Half-acre because Warrior Wrestling held a show there. I got there early and had dinner and wow. Picked up cans of Far Star, crushed some poutine, and caught some incredible wrestling. Can't wait for the next one here! Unforgettable moment watching a guy leap from a walk-in!“
“I just saw the way Off Color Brewing took care of a family of ducks and I think that a staff who would go completely out of their way to help the wildlife in their area survive should be commended to the fullest. Thank you for being such wonderful humans!!!“
“Good beer, great service. I often come here with my laptop to write. It is a very lively place, although it gets loud if you are looking to write or read like me. That is not a complaint by any means.
They also have out door seating, parking options, food on weekends. And allow you to bring your own food. A couple of large projectors which often have sports if you are into that.
All in all, an amazing spot to drink good beer and hang with friends or just chill on your own at the bar.“

“Brought my kids to a concert there and the customer service was amazing. They were very accommodating and helpful with the kids. On top of that our food was delicious. Even my pickiest eater ate their fill. We had a blast! Thank you guys so much! 🫶🏽🫶🏽“
“We had a great time at this family-friendly brewery! The atmosphere was relaxed, and there was plenty of outdoor seating where the kids could play while we enjoyed some delicious craft beer.
They even had board games and kid-friendly, which made it easy for everyone to have fun. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy quality time together. We'll definitely be back!“
“I'm from out of town, and had some great beer! Definitely would come back.“
“No bowling lanes here! Google summary is wrong. They used to have it at their old stand alone location, but when they moved into District Brew Yards that no longer exists. If google allowed edits or comments like that, I'd do it... but they don't.. so i have to leave a review. sigh.“
“Service was great. Food was excellent. Unfortunately, they could not accept our gift card. The gift card is valid and has never been used. My guess is the server fat fingered it or typed it incorrectly. Either way, it made the experience a more expensive and soured an otherwise enjoyable brunch.“

“Been going to this place before they moved to this new location. They moved to this new location the weekend of the covid lockdowns. They sold their food to go, and it was one of the first places we supported. We have been routine customers, and enjoy our time there, every time we go. The barbecue is fantastic, the beers are amazing, the staff is tremendous.. And if you're a fan of hot wings, doing their hot wing challenge, hopefully annually, is a must. Don't skip on this place.“

“Awesome other half brewery taproom and restaurant. Good choice of beers on tap and loads of cans in the fridge. Didn't have food but lots of it was coming out and looked good. Had a chat with the owners, all very friendly and so were staff. Its a bit out from downtown chicago, but you can get the number 8 bus for £2 and it stops 100 meters from bar ( see photo )“
“When you're about to turn into N capitol st, make sure you make a wide enough turn from the left lane! Park on the street then go check in, backing up is tight, you have a U turn room at dead-end,
Nice ppl and quick unloading,“

“One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. A great selection of microbrews - everything from lagers to IPAs to porters to excellent NA beers. Not to mention - tremendous food. Have been several times but came for $1 wing night (went with lemon pepper butter) and had an excellent experience. Highly recommend!“

“We tried Pho no. 1 Brewing tonight and we were really happy with it! We’ll be back again for sure! The Pho was a little sweeter than I expected, but it was my first time having it so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The beef skewers, egg rolls, and wings were amazing. All four of us left full and happy! Definitely recommend!“
“Before the spot burned down, this was my favorite neighborhood spot to visit for good beer and food. The food was always amazing. They served solid bar food and had some amazing dinner options. Also the atmosphere was really cool with the paintings and the windows into the brewery. They also had a wide variety of beer that they would come out with and rotate out seasonally, so it was always worth coming back to try the new beer they released. The parking was pretty good as there was a good amount of free parking near the venue.I talked with the owners and they are planning to reopen. I can't wait for them to come back!!“

“Haymarket is a pub on W. Randolph Street that we recently stopped by while waiting for our table at Au Cheval across the street to become available. They have a good sized indoor seating area as well as a few tables near the bar. Several tellies behind the bar showing sports games. Drink list includes a good selection of handcraft beers. We enjoyed a porter and blond that both pretty good, easy to enjoy while watching a bit of baseball and basketball on the evening. Would be happy to pop back in for another round if in the area if in the area again.“

“Kinslahger is like no other bar place / bar / local in the area. The lack of TV forces you to engage in conversation, and the staff are particularly helpful in steering patrons to choices they might not think of originally but end up appreciating. They’re a one-of-a-kind establishment with a one-of-a-kind staff, and you won’t be disappointed in your visit.“
