A table for two with only one appetizer and one entree would be a giveaway that something is missing, but he never noticed. Despite enjoying what were on the table, the meal ended early.“

“Five star ramen!!! We waited 2 hrs to be seated ( hung out upstairs at the bar which was awesome) so was it worth the wait? Yes it was!! Add in the Painkiller drink and hip hop music plus great service and vibes and you got yourself a 5 star experience!!“

“I had the garlic miso ramen; my partner had the tori paitan ramen. Both were tasty with nice, firm noodles. I found both broths just a touch heavy, and the meat was fine, but not exceptional. We shared spicy wontons as an appetizer, which were wonderful. Would go again.“

“Tried Takumi Ramen today and ordered their Takumi Tonkotsu Ramen — the broth was super rich and flavorful, and the noodles had a great texture. Really comforting and satisfying.

They also have a buy 5 get 1 free beer deal right now, which is a pretty good deal. And the beer tower/container they use is so cool and eye-catching. Definitely a fun spot to hang out with friends. Would come back again!“

If you love ramen and you are on a budget visit this restaurant Monday thru Friday during their lunch hour and try the ramen set which even has a vegetarian option if you don't like meat. I always get a donburi bowl 🥣 or raw salmon don and tuna bowl. The portions here are extremely generous and the taste and presentation is also excellent. I love the house made sodas here and the furikake French fries. The fries 🍟 are addictive--be warned 😋“

Thankfully, the vegetable noodles there are very tasty, regardless of being vegan.

“I decided to check out this local ramen restaurant which is right next to Thorndale train station. I ordered the Tonkotsu spicy ramen and I must say it was delicious.

The only critique is that I only got 2 pieces of meat, and the bowl did not have much veggies in it like your average ramen spot. However, it was pretty good and I’ll definitely visit again.“

“Tofu bun, fried rice and edamame hummus were great, in fact first time I had tried such a hummus and it's highly recomendable! I would have given the food a better rating if it wasn't for the spice level in the ramen. I ordered the tan-tan san, which indicated it has a kick of spice in it. When asking about the spice level, I was told that they would makse sure that it wasn't as spicy by not adding any kimchi or oil. As soon as I tried it, this was not the case as it was way too spicy to eat.“

Yes, you can still eat good, late. The Japanese food here is to be enjoyed in their izakaya vibes, which are casual pubs that you can grab lots of small dishes to sample. Honorable mention to the Chicken Curry Ramen and Taiyaki with ice cream - my two favorite items from my visit! I also had a really good Mai Tai and lychee martini. “Best Sushi Restaurant on the planet. Not only was all the food superior than any other Sushi restaurant I've been to. My family and I had a feast.(I mean all the food was good). Very reasonable prices as well. The most astonishing fact about this restaurant was the host (Quam) his amazing knowledge of food and customer service was unlike any other. The Ice cream desert was mind blowing. You don't have to take my word for it, but I guarantee you, you won't find another Sushi restaurant in the city of Chicago as good this one. We had shushi and ramen. The fish in shushi tasted like water (because of the freshness) and loved the broth of the ramen so much.

As appetizer we had shrimp tempura, were so light and amazing!!

Also there in house soya sauce, had so much depth. I was drinking the sauce, because it tasted so good. I wish they would tell the sauce!!“

The environment is fun, the food is fresh, affordable, and gives you an opportunity to try many different rolls without spending a ton. The sushi belt includes different colored plates which determine the price, and each have 4-5 pieces on it ranging from $3.30 to $7.30 plates. Additionally there’s All You Can Eat & many menu options. Their fried rice is to die for & amazing deals on pick-up & delivery options. They have a punch card program, as well, which lets you spin the wheel for your fate at a prize, big or small, depending on your loyalty & spin. Can’t imagine leaving here unhappy. “I dined at Neko Sushi and tried their tuna and avocado fried rolls, and they are the reason I’ve already been back three times in the past two weeks since finding this neighborhood gem. My fiancé ordered the shrimp in a blanket and they were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. I had the ramen both times and it was absolutely delicious. My fiancé tried the pad thai with shrimp on one visit and the basil shrimp fried rice on another, and both dishes were full of flavor and so satisfying. Neko Sushi has quickly become one of our favorites. Everything we’ve tried has been consistently fresh and tasty. Oh and they are BYOB!“

“Been coming to Yatai frequently for about two years now, and every time it meets or exceeds my expectations. Service is quick and the workers are kind and check in on you frequently to make sure you have everything you need. Prices are fair especially for the portions (rice bowls, fried rice, noodle dishes, etc). My personal favorites from the menu are the crab rangoons and the crunchy sweet potato tempura rolls! BYOB and they’ll provide glasses if you need them! Absolutely love this place, cannot recommend it enough.“

“What a cute little place! And it's not little at all, there's actually so much seating! We tried a variety of items, food and drink and the only thing that is NOT worth getting EVER from this place is their chicken wings. They do not know how to make them and they shouldn't be making them! All the other stuff is fabulous because that's their niche! Love watching how they prepare the seaweed burritos and bowls. Drink are a mystery because they bring them out from the back kitchen, which is where they have the machine that seals the tops. Food is awesome and you should try it for sure!“
