“We took a ride to City Barbecue in Park Ridge.

It's about thirty minutes northwest of Chicago.

I ordered a combination plate with Pulled Pork and Beef Brisket.

The plate came with cole slaw, beans and a piece of bread.

Really delicious and really moist.

The location is very clean and employees are very friendly.“

“My friend and I stopped in at Firewater BBQ in Elmhurst on Thursday Dec. 1st for the "Granny's Lunch Box Special" which is available daily from 11AM-2PM. This was my second visit and my friend's first at Firewater. We both ordered the Angus beef brisket sandwich with a side of 3 cheese Mac & Cheese and a soda. The brisket (smoked for 22 hrs) is amazingly tender and flavorful. It was piled high on a toasted brioche bun and is served with your choice of sweet or spicy BBQ sauce or both if you like. The Mac & Cheese is sooo silky-smooth and creamy and compliments the brisket quite well. There are complimentary pickled jalapeños and sweet & spicy pickles available as well. My friend was so impressed by this amazing brisket that he placed another exact order to go to bring home. The cashier who also took our order was very friendly and polite. We told one of the chefs, Shawn, (pictured) that we really enjoyed the brisket and complimented his skills. My friend and I will both be returning to Firewater BBQ and we'll definitely be letting our family and friends know about this wonderful BBQ spot.“

“The vibe is very chill and relaxing. The sandwich I had was thanksgiving turkey sandwich . Delicious with turkey gravy served on the side. Beer was really tasty . My first beer was a Kriek sour 3.5 out of 5 . The sour taste was very forward but but behind that there was not a good punch of cherry flavor. My second beer was a raspberry jalapeno that was very tasty. It was in the belguin fruit beer style. I give that one 4 out 5. The flavors were bright and playful with a slight hint of sweetness. Enjoyable place and nice servers and people.“

“Hubs and I came last night for an impromptu date night. The holiday décor was absolutely beautiful, you can tell a lot of effort and attention went into it. The staff were all super friendly and helpful! We arrived during the dinner rush, and given it’s the holiday season, I’m sure there’s an uptick in guests, but we were still seated within about 15–20 minutes, which was impressive. There is a one-hour dining limit during this season, I understand they’re turning tables quickly to accommodate everyone, especially having worked in the industry myself. However, I was really disappointed that every single item we ordered was cold. I don’t usually like to complain, so I didn’t mention it at the time, assuming it was just due to how busy the restaurant was. But after reading other reviews, it seems this may be a recurring issue, which is unfortunate. I’m not sure I would return, but on a positive note, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were wonderful. Hopefully they can work with the kitchen to make sure the food is served hot, because everything else about the experience was great!“

“My daughter and I traveled from DC to Chicago for a cheerleading competition. We decided to try Porky's... I am not making this up, hands down the best BBQ I've had in years. I live fairly close to the restaurant so I was surprised when I saw that the delivery driver (third party service) was in a different town and my ETA kept getting longer and longer. I called the restaurant and told them about the issue and actually ended up being put on with The owner Joey. This guy ended up repacking my order and hand delivering it himself!!! “Service polite and quick. Space clean and well organized. Ordered the Papa Q platter, everything was good, especially the pork belly and sausage. Sides were cornbread, sweeter than traditional, mac q roni- tasty, coleslaw- creamy and traditional, and mashed potatoes with gravy-really good. Hush puppies were yummy too. Three sauces on table are all good individually but I mixed them all together, delish!“

“A small, korean BBQ restaurant in a strip mall on Mt Prospect. We were greeting right away and sat at your table. The tables are separated and private from others. The servers was attentive and took our order quickly. Bottled water is sevred with every meal. We ordered the meat and seafood combo ( steak, chicken, shrimp, and squid) which it comes with a lot of meat. You get a dumping soup that was very filling. The meat is very well seasoned and cooks nicely on the grill. The side dishs were very good. I didnwish they had korean potatoe salad as one of the sode doshes. At the end they also give you ice cream bars. The food and service were amazing. The only negative thing I can say is that it does get smokey inside the restaurant. I definitely recommend coming here and will visit again myself.“

Tips where good but a little overcooked (kinda tough) but the excellent BBQ sauce saved them. Owner was super friendly though and the service was quick considering it's a one man operation. Our group enjoyed a variety of dishes, including the Renegade Sirloin Steak, Ribeye Steak, Baby Back Ribs, and the 7 oz. LongHorn Salmon paired with 8 ct. Redrock Grilled Shrimp. We also had side orders of Shrimp & Lobster Chowder, Mixed Greens Salad, and Mashed Potatoes.

Loaded waffle fries that are light, crispy and a heaping canvas for BBQ sauce slathered smoked brisket with a sprinkling of jalapeno peppers. Burnt ends with unending flavor. Baked beans that included chunks of sausage and brisket.
