“The outside doesn't seem very inviting, but the server was very kind and attentive. The order was correct and the food was hot. The lunch special is a really good portion and price. We enjoyed the soup (egg drop and won ton)and crab rangoons. My dish was Mongolian delight (chicken,beef,shrimp) was not spicy at all but pretty flavorful because of all the onions. My partner ordered Empress Chicken, basically sweet n sour chicken with a strangely put together brown sauce.
The lumpia were yummy but over cooked.“

“My son and his wife live in downtown Plainfield and started going to Great Wall and told us they liked the food better than the restaurant that we frequented for 20+ years on the south side of Plainfield. Last night, my wife and I decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. I had the Beef with Garlic Sauce and Onions. It was packed with beef and I asked for it to be extra-spicy and they delivered on the heat. The garlic sauce was a lot like the one I remember as a kid from a restaurant we went to a lot in Chinatown. My wife had Pork and Pan Fried noodles and it was equally delicious. We opted for large servings and got dinner last night and lunch today out of it so basically two meals out of each portion. The staff was cordial and gracious. We are both looking forward to trying more of the menu items. I highly recommend you give them a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.“

“I used to go to Chipotle every weekend after the gym. Portions of meat were small and staff were slow. Started coming to Panda every weekend instead and portions of Chicken if you get teriyaki are very generous, at least 3x more chicken than Chipotle, maybe more. Staff is also faster and friendly, you can tell they care more.

I will say though, if you get beef options the portions shrink considerably even with the upcharge. Really only amazing value if you're getting chicken dishes.“

Orange chicken: was nice more on the average on taste and flavor

“Quick review: The portion is slightly larger than the lechon here in California. The price is reasonable. Great taste and seasoning especially the lemon grass used for flavoring. The skin was really crispy and crunchy. The meat itself is not dry and bland unlike other lechon I have tasted. I served with my military friends and they all loved it. I guess the only downside to my review is my location. My buddy had to bring this to me to the west coast all the way from the midwest. But I definitely recommend this food for all of you avid foodies and lechon lovers.“

My wife and I live in St Charles and make the 1 hour 20 minute round trip at least once a week to get our fix. The food is that good. The owner is seemingly always there, and obviously genuinely cares about ensuring quality in what is served every time. Our favorites are Chengdu Style King Pao Chicken, Ma Po Tofu, Beef in Pure Cumin Powder, Toothpicks Lamb, and the Xiao Long Bao. I cannot for the life of me fathom how this restaurant does not have a higher rating. It is the best. Try it. You won't regret it.“

“This place is located at a Chinese supermarket food court yet they offer great Taiwan food. I brought my Taiwanese friend here once, now she is willing to drive back just to have meal here. “Golden Dragon is quick, affordable option. Every time I call in an order there they are always polite and answer any questions I have about the entrée or item. The turnaround from when you place your order to pickup is quick, generally 15-30 mins. The food is always fresh, hot and ready to go. The entrees and soups are fine, but I wasn't real impressed with alot of the appetizers (especially the egg rolls). My favorite item is the Moo Goo Gai Pan combo platter.“

Is your food going to be cold sometimes? Yeah. It's a buffet run by, what looks like, mostly a family. They're not going to be pumping out fresh entrees every half hour.

The classic vibe is all there. A booth for cleaning supplies, because can you even trust a buffet where you don't see a wash pail out and about? A booth reserved for the kids of the owner/worker on duty? Absolutely, and they're polite. Pizza, onion rings, and French fries? You bet your sugar buns. Tajin on the table? Absolutely, this isn't Darien.

Honey Chicken, Weirdly Sweet Crab Rangoons, Crayfish.. just all the classics and don't forget the Jello cubes.

“Food is great here just about ever time. Only critique is the rice. Sometimes it’s spot on, other times it’s not fluffy and a little hard meaning whoever is on rice just needs to make sure the temperature being used to cook it isn’t too hot and that they add enough water“
