“My family has been regular customers since 1999. We haven't had any problems. The food is wonderful and ALWAYS made fresh. The owner is so kind and sweet. Always welcomes us into her restaurant. We do carry out, but you can eat in the small dining area. Very delicious place to go !!!!“

The classic vibe is all there. A booth for cleaning supplies, because can you even trust a buffet where you don't see a wash pail out and about? A booth reserved for the kids of the owner/worker on duty? Absolutely, and they're polite. Pizza, onion rings, and French fries? You bet your sugar buns. Tajin on the table? Absolutely, this isn't Darien.

Honey Chicken, Weirdly Sweet Crab Rangoons, Crayfish.. just all the classics and don't forget the Jello cubes.

“Really loved it. I usually have low standards when ordering food in general but they blew my expectations. It was clean; the person who answered our phone call and greeted us was really friendly. The packaging was well done and the food itself was amazing. It wasn't overly oily and we got dumplings they were stuffed really enjoyed the food. I fell in love with the food when I just smelled it fell in love more when I eat it. 100/10 would recommend. The entire experience was wonderful.“

“Lao Sichuan has the most authentic and consistently amazing Chinese food to be found anywhere in the U.S. Having spent some time living in China while I was in undergrad, there are certain flavors that I crave, which your run of the mill American style Chinese restaurant will not have. My wife and I live in St Charles and make the 1 hour 20 minute round trip at least once a week to get our fix. The food is that good. The owner is seemingly always there, and obviously genuinely cares about ensuring quality in what is served every time. Our favorites are Chengdu Style King Pao Chicken, Ma Po Tofu, Beef in Pure Cumin Powder, Toothpicks Lamb, and the Xiao Long Bao. I cannot for the life of me fathom how this restaurant does not have a higher rating. It is the best. Try it. You won't regret it.“

“This place is located at a Chinese supermarket food court yet they offer great Taiwan food. I brought my Taiwanese friend here once, now she is willing to drive back just to have meal here. We ordered the stinky tofu, tofu is very flavorful. The veggie pot is so delicious that I saw from someone else sitting there and I could not help but to ask the name of the dish.“

“Very Good! Went here with my family for a family dinner and it was the best first experience. Firstly, the area is very quiet and nice with lots of parking space. Secondly, the food was great; we ordered combination fried rice, Sesame Chicken, Wonton Soup, Chowmein and crab rangoon. All of the food we ordered was delicious but my favorite was the combination fried rice. The staff/worker were very nice and friendly as well as recommending us what was good to try as a first customer which was very helpful. The atmosphere was quite and very clean. “My son and his wife live in downtown Plainfield and started going to Great Wall and told us they liked the food better than the restaurant that we frequented for 20+ years on the south side of Plainfield. Last night, my wife and I decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. I had the Beef with Garlic Sauce and Onions. It was packed with beef and I asked for it to be extra-spicy and they delivered on the heat. The garlic sauce was a lot like the one I remember as a kid from a restaurant we went to a lot in Chinatown. My wife had Pork and Pan Fried noodles and it was equally delicious. We opted for large servings and got dinner last night and lunch today out of it so basically two meals out of each portion. The staff was cordial and gracious. We are both looking forward to trying more of the menu items. I highly recommend you give them a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.“

Parking: Restaurant is located in a strip mall and at peak times it can be hard to find a parking spot.

Cheap, a variety of dishes and desserts, a rather gingery egg drop soup that was tasty, and the garlic green beans had me sharing the plate with ice cream because it is delicious. The spiced meat had a nice tingle to it, same with Tom Yum soup.

Friendly staff. Wait staff will be on top of your refills and taking used plates away in a jiffy.“
