“I thought the reviews were over rated but i stopped in there on my way home from work and HOLY JESUS the chicken tenders were about the best thing to every touch my lips. Diane was an absolute doll and was super friendly she even gave me an order of fries with cheese sauce for FREE. I even met my now wife at the duck inn and would LOVE to have my ceremony there. “Tiny place with only 5 booths and 2 tables outside.
The food is so good, they could fill the place if it had twice the seating!
The burgers are traditional smash burgers done to perfection and there specialty fry boxes are absolutely delicious and filling!!
If you visit SIU, you have to give this diamond in the rough a try!!“

“From the moment we made the reservation, the staff at Flame Bar & Grill provided excellent service! Everyone was so welcoming and attentive throughout the evening. The food and cocktails were amazing, and Katie went above and beyond to make our birthday celebration extra special. We brought our own cake and forgot candles, but she not only found us a candle, she also surprised us with a fancy Happy Birthday sign for the cake. Truly wonderful service from the entire staff. “The BBQ is always outstanding. This place literally sets the standard for all BBQ everywhere. I’ve had BBQ all over the country. Lots a great BBQ out there for sure, but there is none better than 17th Street. Even the sides are pretty good. This is where so many BBQ joints lose me is when they have terrible sides. We did order some potato skins and some fried pickles. Both were very good. There is a huge volume of fried pickles in one order. We got too much when we ordered 2 servings of them. Service is always good.“

“My husband and I have been coming here for a few years, almost weekly. I have to say the margarita is the best around. We have always been pleased with the food. We came tonight and I must say the crab legs were fantastic. I have been to many AYCE places and the quality is sub par compared to the ones at Midland. They have a fantastic flavor and crack easily. The service has always been excellent. We feel at home here and it is well worth our 50 minute drive to get here.“
