Overall it is better then some of the larger Mexican restuarants in the area with a casual atmosphere and great customer service. Too many persons fall for the ambiance of a place and don't get quality or authentic Mexican food. In warm weather their small patio is very inviting with plenty fo parking nearby.“

My last trip to the area was when I noticed Tamale Hut Café and made note to stop next time I was in the city - today was the day!

I knew that this would be an awesome place for a great authentic tamale - I was definitely spot on.

I LOVE the vegan options offered - I tried a broccoli 🥦, a mushroom 🍄, and a chicken tamale. The green sauce was a very flavorful addition.

What made my experience the best was the customer service provided by Alex - very welcoming when I told him I was excited this was my first visit.

The café is so clean. And seating is open, airy and spacious - makes the atmosphere inside bright and comfortable.

El día de hoy, martes 26 de noviembre, llegué a cenar a las 8:45 pm confiando en la información publicada en sus redes sociales, donde claramente se especifica que el horario de cierre es a las 11:00 pm. No obstante, a las 9:30 pm ya se estaba anunciando el "último llamado" para bebidas alcohólicas. Además, durante mi estancia, fui testigo de cómo dos familias fueron rechazadas para cenar por el mismo motivo: el restaurante estaba cerrando antes de tiempo debido a "la falta de clientes". Entiendo que puedan surgir situaciones operativas, pero considero que este tipo de decisiones impacta negativamente en la experiencia de sus clientes. Cuando se anuncia un horario de cierre, los clientes planeamos nuestras visitas en base a esa información. De no ser posible mantener el horario anunciado, sería más transparente ajustarlo oficialmente en sus plataformas para que las personas puedan planear con anticipación y, en caso necesario, optar por otras opciones. Por último, quiero mencionar que esta inconformidad fue compartida con nuestra mesera, quien nos escuchó con amabilidad. Sin embargo, creo que esta situación requiere un ajuste desde la gerencia para evitar malentendidos en el futuro. “Cozy, welcoming, delicious! We started with the turkish pizza, which was light and savory, with a nice crunchy crust. followed by the beet salad, mixed kebabs and grilled eggplant in tomato sauce. Yum! Dessert was lemon creme brûlée, which was delicate and had the perfect crust, and walnut baklava which were honestly a bit underbaked and doughy. The only thing I would have changed is to dim the lights a bit more for dinner, but I realize that's a personal preference. It was so lovely to have conversation without having to shout or strain to hear.“

I had an amazing experience at this sushi restaurant! The waitresses were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our dining experience.

The food was outstanding—the soup was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, making for a perfect start to the meal. I also tried the avocado roll, which was exceptionally fresh and of the highest quality. The avocado was perfectly ripe and creamy, complementing the sushi beautifully.

“I went to Chicago for my niece’s graduation, and then my sister, brother in law and I went to one of his favorite spots.
We drove to El Cubanito in Logan Square.
This spot is a neighborhood staple, & had been there for years.

Not gonna lie, I was super excited to try out some good (dare I say GREAT) Cuban food. Y’all, this place did NOT disappoint!!I ordered the Steak Cubanito ($8.35). I can’t tell you the spices that made up this sammy, but I can tell you I had to cross my legs once I bit into it! Portion size was excellent and filling. The steak was tender, hot and delicious. My only regret is that I can’t get another! I ordered the can of soda ($2) because it was unfamiliar to me.

Sodas aren’t typically my thing, and this one was no exception as it had an aftertaste that reminded me of some kind of artificial sweetener.

The plantains were excellent!

I rated service a “4” because you order at the register and they call you to come pick it up. I rated Atmosphere a “4” because it’s a true local spot, not upity and not scary.“

He offered 2nd helpings (my only regret is that I did not indulge on that offer). Our meal was plentiful, delicious and presented beautifully! The bartenders cocktails (garnished w/ fresh flowers!) are pure elegance and his customer service skills are excellent! The drag show was a blast! The music was a hit (inside and out) and the upscale atmosphere will always have me anxiously waiting to come back soon!
