“We visited Lucha Canting for the first time tonight. It was excellent! I just moved back here after living in Austin, TX, for many years. I wasn't expecting the food and atmosphere to be as good and inviting as they were. I told my dinner companion the food was as tasty as any Mexican food I've had in TX, and it was beautifully presented. The way in which the restaurant was decorated made me feel like I was back in Texas! Lastly, our server was excellent. He checked on us just the right amount, and got our food out in good time. All in all, it was quite a pleasant experience!“

“There are several good pizza recipes in Rockford but Gulotta’s pizza stands out among all others; not only in terms of authentic flavor and fresh ingredients but in heart and soul. There’s more to a good pizza pie than what’s on the surface. I was 14 when I first had the Gulotta pizza experience. “Overall the experience was pretty good. Service was good, it was a bit hectic when it started to pick up. I had the GOAT burger - the bun was fresh and delicious, goat cheese was very little and you couldn’t taste it, but it’s the name of the burger… the patty was plenty in size, but very dry and didn’t do Eickman’s meat any justice. The fries were outstanding. The Filipino Chicken Adobo was very delicious, the egg and sauce were perfect together. Chicken was perfectly cooked. The Lumpiang Shanghai was a great starter to the meal. The Ube cheesecake was ok, but not very flavorful. The Aluna Water was surprisingly refreshing and worth the $10. I haven’t been here since it changed brands, overall decent experience and would try again when not so busy for an event.“

“I was told that Gerry’s Pizza is amazing. Well it really isn’t. We tried it yesterday for the first time. We asked for a very thin crust and while it was thin it wasn’t more so than any other thin crust. The sauce lacked flavor. It was at best bland. We asked for extra sausage & cheese. If what they gave us was extra I’d hate to see what regular cheese & sausage consisted of. The bigger letdown was the “Fresh Calamari.” This wasn’t fresh! It was straight from the freezer bag to the deep fryer. Breading was very institutional from a place like Gordon Food Service. The person that took my order over the phone and got my food for me was very nice. You get one chance to make a first impression. Gerry’s food fell far short.“

I am disabled and require the use of a service animal and the server and staff were amazing and even brought him out a bowl of fresh cold water with our waters! Our server, Ronald, was amazing and so respectful and accommodating:) The food was so good I wish I had been here sooner! I definitely plan on being back to try more of the menu especially now that I know how accepting and welcoming all of the staff are!! The atmosphere inside is very cozy and yet still casual and open for guests.
