“We live within walking distance of BSB and have dined here 30+ times since we have lived here. We have NEVER had a bad meal or a bad experience, which is SO impressive to say after that many visits. The food is amazing and the weekly specials are so good you wished they made the main menu. Their outdoor seating is great throughout the seasons and we loved bringing our dog here (and he loved it too). Now we bring our daughter who is a BIG fan of the mac & cheese and tots. This is a restaurant we will truly miss being so close to the day we decide to move.“

I am disabled and require the use of a service animal and the server and staff were amazing and even brought him out a bowl of fresh cold water with our waters! Our server, Ronald, was amazing and so respectful and accommodating:) The food was so good I wish I had been here sooner! I definitely plan on being back to try more of the menu especially now that I know how accepting and welcoming all of the staff are!! The atmosphere inside is very cozy and yet still casual and open for guests. “They have a large menu of of maki and sushi! It was so hard to choose! The fish was fresh and the combinations in the rolls were amazing. My daughter also got the ramen (shoyu I think) and it was excellent. The broth was so rich! We all loved it!“

“This place is a hidden gem. I live right down the road from it and didn’t realize it was there until my cousin told me about it. Best pizza in Rockford hands down. I don’t suggest the stuffed crust because the pizza gets a bit too thin at least for my liking for the normal crust pizza is amazing.“

I had the GOAT burger - the bun was fresh and delicious, goat cheese was very little and you couldn’t taste it, but it’s the name of the burger… the patty was plenty in size, but very dry and didn’t do Eickman’s meat any justice. The fries were outstanding. The Filipino Chicken Adobo was very delicious, the egg and sauce were perfect together. Chicken was perfectly cooked. The Lumpiang Shanghai was a great starter to the meal. The Ube cheesecake was ok, but not very flavorful. The Aluna Water was surprisingly refreshing and worth the $10. I haven’t been here since it changed brands, overall decent experience and would try again when not so busy for an event.“

“I was told that Gerry’s Pizza is amazing. Well it really isn’t. We tried it yesterday for the first time. We asked for a very thin crust and while it was thin it wasn’t more so than any other thin crust. The sauce lacked flavor. It was at best bland. We asked for extra sausage & cheese. If what they gave us was extra I’d hate to see what regular cheese & sausage consisted of. The bigger letdown was the “Fresh Calamari.” This wasn’t fresh! It was straight from the freezer bag to the deep fryer. Breading was very institutional from a place like Gordon Food Service. The person that took my order over the phone and got my food for me was very nice. You get one chance to make a first impression. Gerry’s food fell far short.“

“Normally I would recommend this place. However, the last 2 times I have been here my soup bowl has been just barely half full. The first time, I let it go...figured it was a fluke. But, went again today and the same thing. I called to say I was disappointed as I pay $5.50 for a bowl and it should be full. The young gal who answered the phone informed me they are under new ownership and have lessened the proportions! Likely have lost my business now. It's a shame!“
