“Great little place we visited on a whim from out of town to meet a friend.
We were seated politely in the back area with lots of patio umbrellas on a nice deck porch.
We had lunch, but it looks like they have live music and a really great atmosphere for the evenings for anyone looking for a great place to chill with friends and a very relaxed atmosphere outdoors.
The bacon popcorn was really great. I had a chicken sandwich that was pretty good (maybe the chicken was a tiny dry) and my husband really loved his Cuban sandwich.
I would definitely try this place again on a Sunday afternoon

“Got the hot wings to go . They were some of the best wings I’ve ever had. I live in Lake St Louis , was taken there by a friend, so glad she did. Can’t wait to go there and sit and have a few Stags , which is my favorite. Looking forward to order other items from the menu. The day I was there , the bartender and patrons were very friendly. “it's called a dive bar, the regulars keep coming back because it's such a small, welcoming, caring place that has a history. A nice quiet comfortable neighborhood place with as little drama as possible so we can relax after a day or week. Just regular every day people trying to get by the same as every one else.“

“Their brunch buffet is amazing! Made to order eggs, pancakes and French toast come with it. Everything else is amazing too. Their potato skins remind me of Jack n the Box bacon cheddar potato wedges! Good prices too. We usually get carryout once a week from here for dinner.“

“I was there for a few minutes. I’m not a drinker or someone you usually find at a bar but I love the hometown familiarity. Many people I grew up with were there. The owner is a fantastic, tough as nails, iconic type of woman. We need more business owners and entrepreneurs like her. I’ll write more when I have more to say! “I wish I could say something good about today's visit to Castelli's... ●Always a highlight when we want to go out to dinner and drive the hour it takes to get there... Their fried chicken has always been a delight to look forward to... But today's experience was a big disappointment... The chicken prices have gone up and the chicken piece sizes have gone down... The dark chicken pieces I received were Lilliputian in size... I thought a mistake had been made, for when I saw my drumstick, I thought they were part of a wing.... I asked the waitress ( More on her later) about the small size and she agreed it was small and she would bring me 2 more.... I had finished with my meal by the time the extra drumsticks arrived, so I took them home.... The drum sticks that I took home were no bigger than the ones I was served at the restaurant... Once home, I measured the drumsticks and they were each less than 4 inches long ... The service was very sub par.... Never were we asked for our water to be refilled.... And not until the end of the meal did she ask to refill our other beverages... Like I said, Very disappointed today... It will be awhile before I darken their door again....“
