We ate gyros from Gyro Stop about a month ago. They were delicious.
I tried to order on line based on the message on the recorder. Our order never transmitted after multiple tries.
We ordered them tonight. My friend ordered the western gyro and I ordered the original hero. The meat was so overcooked and salty.
We are hesitant to return.
We love Gyro Stop. The food never disappoints and the staff is great. But if you close at a certain time, that should mean you close at that time. Based on customer reviews, Joey G’s Chicago Dogs and Gyros is a friendly and welcoming place with a staff that remembers their customers. The food is great, with large portions that are hot and fresh. The authentic Chicago dog is excellent, made with Vienna beef, and the fries are the best fries some have ever had. The gyros are stuffed full with plenty of meat, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce. Other popular items include the gyro wrap, the chicken saganaki melt (the best chicken sandwich), and horseshoes. Prices are good, and the portions are huge, often leaving leftovers. The guys are legit, super friendly, and appreciative of business, which is why the restaurant has regulars. It is a good sign when the place is full with a line at lunchtime. One customer noted that for sitting down in the restaurant, it is not recommended.
