“This was only my second time going here even though I only live 4 blocks away. The food, service and atmosphere are wonderful. The only things I can think of to improve is they were short on staff and we were there quite awhile. Also the menu doesn't describe the food, we had to ask what everything was. I guess if you are a regular you might know what chicken George, chicken Jane or smothered chicken is but we did not. The variety of desserts was amazing!“

“We love Rambos and the pizza - we always have great service except for this Friday - 65 minutes for a pizza - we almost walked out - thank goodness for the appetizers - Common Rambos - you can do better ! - We will be back, the pizza is that good and the owner is a nice guy - but that was not good experience.“

“Server was super sweet and attentive. We were a party of 7. 4 littles and 3 adults. She was a dear to the littles. Listened to their orders and read them back to them to make sure. Not all servers do that a lot of them talk only to the parents so it was nice for them to feel in charge for a little while. I got a denver skillet it was pretty yummy. Kids all had the pancakes with sausage or bacon, some with and some without chocolate. Our friend had the special. Eggs, bacon and I believe biscuits and gravy. He said they were delicious. Hubby got a breakfast with all the meats cant remember what it was called. He cleared his plate. We love to stop here when were in the area.“

“Food is good, soft serve ice cream/hot dog type place. Order was screwed up, hence the 3 stars. Polite service. Ordered chocolate shake and got vanilla, ordered giardinara with my beef sandwich and didn’t get any. They have take away and dine in. Walk up window counter service. Cutsie old fashioned atmosphere. “The best diner we've found across nine states! Clean, attractive, great service, clean restrooms, and awesome food! I loved the vegetable soup and mostaccioli with meatballs and rich and chunky red sauce. Reuben soup and mushroom Swiss burger looked excellent, too. It was worth driving 7 miles off of I39.“

“Mary did a fabulous job with service even though she is very busy with many guests as well. Food was great. I believe a good burger should be no more than 5$ by itself but you get what you pay for here. Good place to eat. Nice and quiet as well. I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was huge.“

“It had been many years since my visit to the charming hamlet of Hinkley Illinois. We strapped on the feed bag for an early supper so the crowd was small and the service was great. Rebecca was awesome, knowledgeable and friendly. I had their patty melt which was substantial. The "fried potato salad " had a nice mustardy/vinegary zing and a generous portion of bacon bits mixed in. Loved the Malort light fixtures...at least there is ONE redeeming quality to a bottle of Malort. The ambience is what you'd expect in a small town bar/restaurant . Across from us a couple was sharing a pizza and I tried not to be that creeper guy who stares at your food but, damn it looked really good. We will be back for sure!“
