While I was eating the manager brought out a couple pieces of fresh crispy bacon and asked if the dogs could have a treat and it was so nice just a little snack. “On the evening of July 5 my wife and I tried Avaspi on Belmont Avenue in Lakeview for the first time. It will not be the last! I love lamb and am quite particular as to how is it prepared. The “lamb delight” menu item was the best lamb I have ever had in a restaurant: tender, succulent, and prepared to perfection. The side salad accompanying it was not your ordinary side salad! My wife and I both enjoyed the Mixed Meze appetizer plate. Each of the five items was quite good but the muhammara was to die for. We ended our meal with tea, baklava and kubralice. The décor and ambience were refreshing and relaxing, and the service was outstanding. The pricing was very reasonable. Please give it a try. We do not think you will be disappointed.“

I love that when I go there they have everything fresh and everything is in stock and if there’s a waiting time, it’s not more than 10 minutes and the cookies are amazing for dessert. I love that the food is gluten-free even the cookie!
The price is just right for lunch or dinner!

“This is a small neighborhood restaurant with excellent service and food. There is a nice selection of sandwiches. The daily specials which usually include a homemade soup with fresh bread are delicious and priced very economically. They also have homemade breads and deserts, all of which are very good.“

I got the chicken Shawarma mixed plate which came with very well seasoned meat, a salad, hummus, fresh, pita and rice. while I originally thought that I should get more hummus the portion actually ended up being perfectly sized as I was full by the end. For the price this was very tasty and healthy feeling.“

“as someone who loves thai food, i go to rice & noodles at least once a week. i work a couple blocks away so it is super convenient for me to stop by here for their lunch specials. my food is always ready on time and the staff is super friendly.“

“Great place. The Onigiri and takoyaki were great to start with and then all the rolls were the perfect thing to split for the table. Our consensus was our favorite was the black ranger with orange and red close behind. We also tried the pink and green and while they weren't top 3 for us, still delicious and we finished them all. Great spot and BYOB was fantastic too.“

“Really fresh, delicious food. I watched the guys making my falafel and trio of kabobs. The baba ghanouj is a stand out - smoky perfection. The kabob combo (chicken, beef & Kafka) was a major hit and the falafel is great. Portions are generous and although prices are not low, they’re really fair given the quality and the quantity of the dishes. Very clean restaurant, very friendly guys who are happy to accommodate special requests. Why we waited so long to order from this restaurant is a mystery. We’ve now been twice in less than a week.

“I wanted to give this location props for their lunch on 8/17. Walking in around 1pm, I could tell they had had their butts handed to them and were obviously understaffed. However, in my perspective they were handling the hangry customers very well, were staying calm and the staff that was present seemed to know what they were doing. The only reason for 4 stars is because and (this has happened more than once at this location) rather than suggesting I try my Pesto Cavatappi with pork, they tell me it comes with pork, which is not true. There is an additional charge for any meat on this bowl.“

“The food here was incredible but unfortunately our service was slow when the restaurant was not all that full. We found ourselves waiting a considerable amount of time at some points.

That being said the food was excellent and everything we tried was delicious. Our favorite was the cheese curds. So light yet so crunchy at the same time. The bread with ricotta and honey was also excellent.

For entrees I thought my chicken sandwich was really good and my partner enjoyed her burger. The drinks were also good and the atmosphere was excellent for date night. We will come back as maybe the service thing was a fluke but it did impact an otherwise perfect experience.“

Came to enjoy diner here with a close friend, although I will say the food was good overall the prices were out of line for what food was being served at this restaurant. They need to be a bit more conscientious about what they are charging for some of the dishes there, although I love pasta I did not enjoy spending as much on the food there as I did when knowing I could’ve easily had a better meal from a restaurant I would’ve preferred for steak, but this is the restaurant my friend wanted to go to in particular for the breadsticks and soup, fortunately that is what made the visit worth going. The unlimited soup and breadsticks helped balance out the value of the meal.“

“First time eating at trio’s pizza, had their sausage and cheese pizza. It was nicely hot and freshly made, not too oily and was my favorite out of all the things I had. I also had a side of buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks, and garlic bread which were also good! But highly would recommend trying their pizza!! The place also feels homey, staff was really nice had really great attitude towards their customers and their work. I would definitely go back another time!“
