“In town for business and George Trois came highly recommended (Thank you, Susan!). Perfect time of year as Chef Michael is showcasing a beautiful tasting menu featuring perigord truffles. Everything was absolutely delightful from the great service (Thanks, Abran!) to the fantastic wine pairings (Thank you, Brian!) My favorite dish was the Coquille St. Jacques “En Tuxedo” which was scallop and truffle encased in a butter pastry, swimming in a lavish champagne-caviar sauce. Absolutely stunning! Thank you so much and such a great honor to meet you and your team. George Trois is a MUST VISIT for any true gourmand.”

“One word describes Spirit Elephant… OUTSTANDING! We travel close to an hour and a half to enjoy the best vegan food options for our daughter’s special occasions! My only suggestion- open a second location closer to Yorkville! 😉”

“This is the place you want to go for when you want to authentic Vietnamese food. We got the Grilled Lemon Grass Beef Banh Mi and man that sandwich didn't have the right to be THAT GOOD. Everything was delicious, from the the warm and crispy Baguette, to the perfect beef, the correct toppings and man the ratios were so so good!
We ended with a couple of coffees and the experience was completed perfectly.
Now the service was just the cherry on top! Everyone was nice and helpful and just wanted us to enjoy our quick bite. Anytime i'm anywhere near Chicago, i will be stopping by here for sure.”

“What an awesome addition to the North Side! Beautiful place to have breakfast, delicious eggs with crème fraiche, chives, parmesan fluff, griddled country bread, we got our son the grilled cheese & I ate most of it. Great ambience, it has a very open feel. We would def come back, thank you 🙏”

“We stopped today as a family for pizza before hitting up all the Home Alone sites. The pizza was incredibly delicious! The staff were friendly and the building itself was small and cozy. Fast service too! The neighborhood is delightful as well! Would absolutely stop again when in the area.”

“Absolutely the best pancakes that I have tasted in a very long time.
If you are like me, and steer away from pancakes because they just don't taste as good as your great-grandmother's, you have to eat a stack at this cafe.

The first bite literally took me to my grandmother's table. I could not be happier with my breakfast today.

“I work with many chambers and I must say The Winnetka-Northfield Chamber is the best. The ladies who work in the Chamber are so upbeat and always friendly. Terry has a very unique gift of guiding shoppers with retailers and connecting people with both Winnetka and Northfield.”

“I visited here on a sunny Sunday afternoon and it was quite busy! They posted wait times for how long was needed for their various menu offerings. I only had a smoothie, which was quite tasty, but the menu had many options that were quite appealing for the next time that I visit.”

“It is so refreshing to meet an owner who is actively present in his restaurant. Mark Salmon enthusiastically and creatively arranged for my friend and I to dine outside (our request), despite the rain. We stayed dry under umbrellas and thanks to Sandra, our amazing waitress, we celebrated my birthday with fine food (impressive menu choices and food presentation) and great company! It was my first time dining at 501 Local and this restaurant met and exceeded my high standards in every way! It is a hidden gem and our new fav restaurant. Highly recommend!!”

“A hidden gem! Jimoto Sushi delivers unique, flavorful twists on classic rolls. The seaweed salad + cream cheese combo was surprisingly great (8/10), the Hamachi was a standout (9.2/10), and the spicy tuna roll with wasabi aioli might be the best I’ve ever had (9.3/10!). The IPA was also a pleasant surprise—fruity, bold, and smooth (7.6/10). Not every roll was perfect, but overall this spot nails creativity and taste. 8.6/10 overall—highly recommended if you’re in Chicago.”

“Maybe I ordered wrong but the combo plate came delivered sizzling hot which normally means part of the order was microwaved. Waiter was ok but slow at coming around and shortchanged me on the change from my cash by rounding down on the coins (was owed sub a dollar along with the bills and only got the bills back, pet peeve of mine that a waiter should give all the change unless told not to)”

“It was are first time here and all I can say is awesome place to go eat some delicious and authentic tacos. They had from mild to spicy sauces. Absolutely loved the hot sauce for my tacos de lengua. 10/10. Definitely coming back again with my family.”
