“I had the chicken soup, tamale and rice with chicken. Everything was delicious! The tamale did not come in the usual way. It was mainly a corn meal (masa) 'tube' covered with sauce with some meat and sauce inside the tube. I was a bit unsure of it at first but the first bite make me sure, the sauce made all the difference, it was very delicious! I wish it was a little less corn meal (masa) but it was good. The chicken and rice came with a cheese layer on top so if you're dairy free you may want to ask them to eliminate the cheese. The soup was chicken with vegetables, including avocado. Very good!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendlyParking: Large parking lot with several parking spots. They have a couple of handicap parking spotsWheelchair accessibility: There is handicapped parking close to the door but the doors do not have automatic door openings and are a bit heavy so may be an issue for those alone in a wheelchair or crutches, walker, etc. There are no stairs and the inside is easily wheelchair accessible.Dietary restrictions: There are several gluten free and dairy free options. I ordered the chicken soup (does not contain noodles) and received fried tortilla strips to add to the soup, they were wrapped separately. These are flour tortilla strips so I did not add them to the soup since I try to be gluten free.“
“I love the food and the ambiance here. The food is incredible and not overly priced. The service has been great both times we visited. For drinks I tried the Smoke and Stone and the Fire and Ice, I preferred the former. This is definitely one of my new favorites.“
“I went on a date to Tlaolli a few months ago and had a great experience. Came back this week for lunch and tried the vegan birria tacos - wow! I couldn't believe the cheese was vegan. The crunch was exactly right and the sauce was so good. The consistency of the jackfruit was spot on and the whole meal was wonderful.“
“Checked out this place for the first time! The interior was nice and clean. Service was fast and the food came out hot and delicious. We ordered three, tacos asada (a tad bit dry) and the chicken acapulco. The acapulco had plenty of cheese and was really satisfying. Also, the Mexican rice that came with it was actually tasty as well. We'll be back again to try the other items on the menu!PRO TIP: The first basket of chips and salsa are free. They will charge $1.50 for more. This wasn't a problem as the chips are really filling and we didn't even finish our initial chips!“
“These are the best tacos in Indy. I usually take them out and they are still good when I get home. In inside seating are is very small, would only eat in on a lunch break. Employees are so friendly and remember repeat customers. Also a great price.“
“Fresh food, generous portions, friendly staff, great service, great pricesWasn't the best service this evening but still a great place with great staff and atmosphereWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility at side entrance. Staff willing to move tables for accommodation if the tables have become an obstruction to prevent accessibility. More accessible for wheelchair than almost 90% of other restaurants that have tables less than 3ft space to walk between“
“Tried for the first time tonight and I will definitely be returning!! Everything we tried was fabulous, from the queso to the sopes! They were so so Good!! Very friendly staff (attentive) we had three different people check on us! I would give them 10/10! Must try!!“
“We came from out of town on our way to another restaurant but came across to this place and decided to give it a try. First time here good service, nice atmosphere, nice art work, hostess and waitress always checking if we were doing ok. The plates OMG were huge and VERY flavourful. It's a for sure thing we will come here again for our next visit.“
“This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Indy! The service is the best I’ve found in my whole time here in this town, Margaritas are magnificent! My favorites are the chimichangas with chicken and beef tips, the pozole, the asada, pastor, camarón and fish tacos, and the chorizo is so good!“
“This is THE BEST tacos, elotes, steak fries, burritos, tamales, well just everything you get here is delicious!!!!!! Great customer service, polite, professional, friendly, caring!!! Can never go wrong with tamales etc!!!!!! 100/10 easy!!!!“
“I drive about 45 minutes just for thier tamales and carnitas! Not only do they have good customers service but they also have very good food that has alot of flavor. The tamales do sell out fast you can call ahead of time an place an order and will let you pick them up the next day.“
“So glad I went with my gut, passed this place a couple months back and it gave off very good vibes and potential and man did it deliver in an amazing way. Authentic, traditional and classic flavors that you can only get with freshly preparing and cooking food to order. This is definitely my easy favorite in the area and absolutely in the running for best taqueria in town in my opinion. I will definitely be visiting regularly.“
“These are one of the best tacos I’ve ever had in my Entire Life and I’ve had tacos from Mexico!! Magnificent /Great Respectful Staff Every Single Time !Vegetarian options: You can Order A Burrito With No meat Just Pure veggies and beans and rice“
“Loved it! Went in for lunch on Saturday at 3pm. Their salsa is great, and has a little kick to it. I had the jalapeño margarita on the rocks and it was such a great experience. Again, had a kick to it. It was a good combination of sweet, sour and spicy. We had chorizo tacos, which were also delicious and came with heaping portion of meat garnished with red onions and cilantro.Clean place, friendly staff. Can't say there was anything I was unsatisfied with.“
“Absolutely fantastic. The place itself is so adorable and the food is phenomenal. We sat at the bar and had great service. Excellent drinks with fresh ingredients. I would highly recommend the rib entrée, costillas I think was the name. They are fall off the bone tender and deliciously spicy. The poblano fundido was also excellent, love love love the grilled cheese on top. I'll be back soon to try the tacos!“
“I didn’t know what to expect at first but after giving chino Mex a shot it was worth every dime. The serving sizes are great, the food was freshly made and you can taste the quality of the ingredients used. I would recommend this to any one looking for something fresh when it comes to Chinese food.“
“anybody leaving bad reviews of this place clearly have no clue what they're talking about. stopped while driving through; taquitos, al pastor tacos, steak quesadillas all fresh and hot. love seeing a small local place thriving. do not skip“
“This is my absolute favorite place for authentic Mexican cuisine. The tacos are outstanding! The flavors come alive in your mouth and leave you wanting more! The staff is SO friendly and accommodating. They always go above and beyond to ensure your experience in their establishment is a good one! Lastly, I love the space as a whole. It's a beautiful place to have an intimate meal or have a few drinks with friends. I am from NY and no place in Indy has reminded me of home and family as much as Bakersfield. Un hermoso lugar para visitar!“
“The food is amazing! The nachos are huge! Definitely get them to share. They are served on a half sheet pan. The bowls are fantastic. I went with a vegetarian friend who loved their vegetarian burrito. Another had the tequila shrimp and there were lots of shrimp and peppers and she stated that it was excellent. Our group rounded out with the Carne Asada tacos and it too was flavorful and delicious. Each dish had a little kick but not overwhelming. We all left very full and happy! For 3 adults and a teenager the bill was $115 prior to tip. The 3 adults all had one alcoholic drink. Side note. There is one smallish TV at the bar so not a place to watch the playoff games.Vegetarian options: Satan Chorizo vegan burrito“
“I had stopped at the Emporium and saw this new restaurant.Called my two girls and they looked up the menu and told me what to get. They both keep coming to me to tell me how good the food was.I’ve never had authentic Mexican food and I’m now a lover of street tacos and Chalupas! The details of the sides that go with the tacos and the chalupas just made me a follower.People!!! You have got to try this place!“
“I’ve been here a few times and the food doesn’t disappoint. I did have a disappointing experience today with our bill however. There was an extra meal charged on our bill which I brought to our servers attention. When she returned, I found that instead of voiding and printing a corrected bill, she ran a credit charge for the overage. This meant I had to pay the higher incorrect charge and wait (from what I understand) a couple 3-4 days for the credit to return to my card. I don’t feel it appropriate that the customer pay for the billing error then have to wait for a refund. I did let them know I wasn’t happy about it. I will be watching that I do receive this credit. It also put a bad taste in my mouth about returning anytime soon.“
“The food and drinks were very good; however, the guacamole appetizer serving size was very tiny. The guac was good but the serving size had much too small. Nice decor, very clean, great margaritas and the food was great. We will definitely go back.“
“This place has a super chill vibe. We went for lunch, but I would love to see this place in the evening! The house music added to the ambience. You have the get the platanos, we are coming back to try the sweet kind next. The Salty are pictured here. Fast, friendly service. Beautiful presentation.“
“Everything here has always been great! I was skeptical about the pizzas, but wow was I wrong! Lisa's makes one of the best pizzas in Indianapolis, it's a must try. The only problem now is do I order tacos or a pizza? The answer is both!“
“I had a so-so gordita, but everyone else's food looked fabulous and everything else was great. Especially the fresh fruit drinks. I had orange/pineapple and I would stop in again if only for that. I'll try something else next time. The fajitas looked hot, sizzling and came with lots of toppings.“
“The tacos are amazing, especially the steak taco & Chicken and steak fajitas. The seasoning is great, the meat is juicy and the corn Tortillas tasty wit a little crisp of delight. I'm not sure if there tortilla are hand made, cause they are good“
“Mi Abuelito is AMAZING. Sooo many food options and it tastes really good. I went for the first time for my birthday. It was recommended by 6 other people so I had to try it and it didn't disappoint. The waiter was Francisco if I'm getting the name right. He was super friendly and knowledgeable, answered all our many questions and talked to my daughter in Spanish (she took 8 yrs in school) so she loves practicing her Spanish. We also loved the ambience...it's so festive and fun! We will be back for sure!“
“This is a Family owned business. Most of the individuals working there are related. By far, this is my personal favorite when it comes to Mexican food in Greenwood. Their recent addition is the lunch buffet.Food is outstanding no matter what you order“
“I go to this restaurant all the time when I’m on that side of town. Quite a few of my friends live right around it. One of my favorite dishes is their hot and spicy chicken. Overall the experience is very pleasant and the food is excellent.“
“I have been frequenting this location for about 4 years now and unfortunately 5 stars is not enough to explain the love and effort this family puts into the food coming out of this taco truck. The elotes always smack and the birria if flame “
“This place is now our go to when we crave Mexican food! The place was very nice and packed with people, I assume regulars because we will be now! Started with a perfectly mixed pitcher of Texas margaritas, the special on a Friday night! Kids got chicken fingers and hand cut fries and arroz con pollo. Both enjoyed their selections, my son never had arroz con pollo and loved it! Hands down the best fajita salad bowl I've ever had! Grilled steak and chicken with cheese, lettuce, onions, peppers, grilled corn, black beans, and avocado. Such a great combination and perfectly mixed. My wife's enchanted with mole sauce was amazing, her favorite now! The waiter was so nice and friendly! Even with a pitcher of margaritas, the value for what you got was well worth it! So much food and didn't break the bank! Super cool spot and will be back again and again!“
“My friend and I go here occasionally, and it's one of my favorite local spots. The staff is incredibly friendly and looks out for the needs of the customers! Today's experience solidified why I prefer them to other Mexican restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.“
“This place is has some good Birria Tacos. I have yet to try more items on the menu, but I will soon. The prices are average, compared to most other places and taco trunks I visited. But the portion sizes is nothing close to the west coast or southern region.“
“Rule #1 is that everything should be in perspective.Found this place close to my hotel and thought what the hell, I'll try it. Glad I did. This ma and pa place might be small but delivered very tasty meal that came out quick. I will be back here again before I leave Indy in two days. Loved the variety of sauces.“
“The new server is very polite and patient and presented herself with etiquette. She smiled alot and was very attentive! The food was on point (I'm a certified chicken and steak tacologist). Everything was well seasoned! The chips and salsa aren't the typical chips and salsa style, but better! The restaurant was very clean and the music complimented my margarita ?... it was like an extra shot of tequila in my cup. I didn't expect so much swag and atmosphere before I walked in. I am definitely glad I did, and I appreciate having places like La Iguana I can go to when I need great food!“
“Love this restaurant! I will not buy tacos from anyplace else , im sure the other options they have besides tacos are good too . Its safe to say I'm a regular here . Really family oriented vibe ,very warm and welcoming.Kid-friendliness: Family oriented“
“The food was hot and delicious. Reasonably priced for 2 tacos and a drink. It was raining at the time so I sat in the car until my food was ready. The food truck is near the new justice center I think off of justice way. You won't be disappointed.“
“Wow this place is fantastic. Unique menu with many things I’ve never seen at an Indianapolis restaurant. Not for people who fear flavor or new foods they are not catering to the American palette. Great atmosphere with music and decor that is on point. Clean bathrooms always and most importantly the best staff. Customer service is through the roof these folks take pride in their work, tip em extra cause I already know they deserve it.“
“Went with a team of 10 to Nada last night and I will say this has been one of my favorite Mexican restaurants I have visited. Hostess was extremely friendly from the minute we were there. We did not have reservations but were extremely accommodating. Daisy was our server and by far the most gracious staff member I have come across. She was helpful with food allergies, checked in with the chef on ingredients we had questions on, a smile on her face during our entire experience. Now for the food - guac, chips and jalapeño corn bread and queso was delicious. Enchiladas, tacos and fajitas were flavorful and cooked well. The margaritas were yummy! Restrooms were clean and spacious. Observing the rest of the staff was interesting as I saw similar interactions with others. The level of customer service from all staff was impressive.“
“I've been to a lot of different Mexican restaurants in the Indy metro area, and this is hands-down one of the BEST. Got the camarones a la diabla and they were wonderfully spicy (not too supremely spicy either). Choriqueso was very well seasoned and delicious as well. Service was immaculate too. This will not be our last time here either!“
“One of the few taquerias that still have $3 tacos, and they are very, very good. The verde sauce here is a big reason why I love this place so much. They sell both of their sauces in larger containers in their refrigerator section. Better tacos than any of the spots closer to the Fountain.“
“Keno (Philip) is amazing! Great customer service, his recommended avocado taco is now a fave of mine. I’m just in town 4 days for the All-Star game but I’ve returned every day thus far for his service, drinks and my avocado tacos. He knows my order by heart.“
“I lived on the west coast for several years and this is exactly what I've been searching for. Very friendly staff and fresh, delicious, fast service. It seems like a food truck by night and restaurant by day, super smart idea. I'll definitely be back. I also appreciated the added security patrol officer for extra safety precautions. Very kid friendly as well.Parking: This is off of a busy street so you may have to loop back around thru the neighborhoods if you pass it the first time.Kid-friendliness: They host events here for families with music, food, etc!“
“GREAT TACOS!!I ordered the steak supreme tacos, and they were some of the best street tacos I’ve ever had - and I’m from Cali! The customer service was top notch, the owner was very friendly and made sure my order was exactly how I wanted it - I hope this guy’s business is blessed for years to come.“
“The salsa was so good…my picky teenage daughter strong armed the salsa…wife said the chicken tamales were amazing and staff was super welcoming & friendly with fantastic elotes as well…I’m a fan…sign Up Door Dash as long as they don’t cut in line LOL…Well Done Folks!“
“Always a fav place for us! Even had the football games on the TV’s…big bonus! The friendliest staff around, they make you feel at home. The food is always amazing. Had a jalapeño margarita for the first time today, and it was also, amazing!“
“I absolutely love this little grocery. The meat counter is more than you could ask for. My usual pickup here is the fresh ground chorizo & steak. The hamburger is good, too. However, it is ground slightly different than what Kroger or Meijer does. So check it out!We always pick up 3 nights worth of dinner while we're here. A lot of options!“
“Found this place while driving to our hotel. It was excellent! We were the only non-Spanish speakers there, which meant it was "authentic" mexican food. The servers spoke little English, so we just pointed to what we wanted. I got the Nacho Supremos and my hubby got the Shrimp Tostada....outstanding! Next time we visit our Nephew and Niece in law who live in Indianapolis, we will need to bring them here!“
“One might not expect much from a restaurant next to a gas station. Tex-Mex is a surprisingly good spot to eat.In a recent stop, the al pastor torta was my selection. The sandwich was well stuffed with nicely flavored pork and other toppings. While the interior has some signs of age, the place seems very clean and cared for. Even though interactions were minimal, the lady at the register had a kind personality, and the cook was quick to give an enthusiastic "thank you" when I left a tip by the pickup window. The place may not seem like much from the outside. Looks can be deceiving though. Tex-Mex is well worth trying.“
“Super delicious, one of the best meals in our beautiful sister country Mexico, I am from Guatemala and we always go to eat because of good service, good food and good prices.Parking: Well located and freeWheelchair accessibility: Very good and spacious, easy entry“
