“This drive in is perfect for good weather. It was easy to order using your lights to get a server, and the menu was easy to navigate from the car. I got a kraut dog, a cheeseburger, and a mug of their root beer. It was all delicious, and I especially enjoyed the cold root beer on a warm afternoon. Prices were also quite fair, so that was a nice surprise. I’d definitely eat here again. It’s an island of old school cool.“

“Food is very good and price is very fair. Service is very sub par. Waitresses run around like chickens with there head cutoff. I did a reorder on fish and after 45 minutes the waitress said she was sorry but somebody else took my order. Paid my check and left. Don’t know if I will ever come back.“

“Truly AWESOME catfish! It was perfectly fried, nicely seasoned, moist, and the breading (crust?) was top notch. I must say that, for me, this is the best catfish I have had in Northwest Indiana. They are also serving a very good coleslaw. I don't easily find good coleslaw and this ranks way up on my list of sources. This was my first visit and will definitely return.“

“Had a wonderful time at Leed’s, the environment is laid back but very clean and fresh. We had a great server who was knowledgeable, attentive, and accommodating.
We had one of the best brunches; cold brew coffee was amazing. Split the brisket quiche and corn beef hash. All the ingredients tasted fresh and didn’t overpower each other. The chef even took the time to clarify the butter used for toast.

“Been eating here for years and recommending them for years if you want the best burger in Chesteron/Porter area. Some other favorites are the bacon wrapped poppers, steak or chicken flatbread, soups, and the only place I know that still has homemade pub chips. Just had my first ever minor issue with a cook on burgers and the owner addressed it and made it right. I am looking forward to their new bi-weekly specials to try some new items. Gastro 49 customers for life.“

“Must-try: The fried pickles! They’re zesty, perfectly seasoned, and not too salty. The portion is huge—enough for 3–4 people—so keep that in mind if it's just two of you!
I tried the gluten-free perch tacos, and my husband got the steak. We both loved the sweet potato fries, which were lightly salted and super crispy (not soggy at all). The Brussels sprouts were also excellent—cooked with a nice crunch, and the maple bacon offered a great peppery-sweet balance. Whatever herbed garlic butter they put on top of that steak? New addiction unlocked!
My only minor critique is the perch tacos. The fish itself was a bit bland, but the sauce was the star of the show and saved the dish by adding great spice and saltiness. Next time, I’d just ask for the sweet slaw on the side so the toppings don't overwhelm it. Overall, a fantastic meal!
All that food bright us to a total of $75, before tax and tip. There was plenty of free parking nearby, a nice bar with plenty of seats for dining, and quite kid friendly. The restrooms were also wheelchair accessible.“

“we stumbled on this gem last summer for the first time and just went back for our 5th time yesterday and we live 3 1/2 hours away! the food is consistently amazing, everything we try we love. The staff is stellar 24/7 crem Bru le 👌 magnificent! fish camp is the highlight of every trip we come here to visit! if you like watermelon tey the watermelon margaritas! You won't be dissapointed!“

“By far the best Italian beef in town*** The staff is always friendly and the riff raff is kept to a minimum. Overall it's a great place to munch and grab some beers. They have live bands on the weekends if you're looking for live entertainment. I highly recommend trying if you haven't.“

“I want to give a shout out to Alicia S. At this location. 8:30 on a Friday night I pulled through after driving 12 hours. Just wanted a hot meal before I checked into a hotel to crash. Food took a good 20 min. Opened it up at the hotel and while the order on the receipt was correct the food was Not! A completely different meal in which 1/2 I couldn’t eat. I called and spoke with Alicia, she did her best to give me a solution and I was so tired I didn’t want to leave the hotel and I hung up. She called me back 5 min later and offered certificates for a meal and a shake for any location and even offered to meet me at 7am as I was leaving early to drive all day again. She was there as promised and apologized again. I also apologized for hanging up on her 😉 She went above and beyond and I feel should be recognized for it. Way to go Alicia! Thank you! 👏🏻🤗“

It’s actually a welcoming community spot that’s always clean and friendly 🌟. There’s a separate area for family dining 🍽️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, and the food is really tasty 😋. You can hang out, play pool 🎱, and chat with friends without any pressure from the staff to keep ordering drinks or food 🙌. Plus, it’s open during the day ⏰, making it perfect for everyone.
