“Haven't been there in years. Decided to go there this evening for St. Patrick's Day. All I can say is that there was no room for disappointment. The food was great and their staff was great as well. I did a reorder on fish and after 45 minutes the waitress said she was sorry but somebody else took my order. Paid my check and left. Don’t know if I will ever come back.“

“Great service. All the servers were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. The food was well prepared. They brought the food right to our car window. Their home made root beer is the best! The chili on the chili dogs is almost sweet, combined with the all beef hot dogs on a fresh bun is my favorite chili dog. We always try to stop here at least once a Summer.“

“Truly AWESOME catfish! It was perfectly fried, nicely seasoned, moist, and the breading (crust?) was top notch. I must say that, for me, this is the best catfish I have had in Northwest Indiana. They are also serving a very good coleslaw. I don't easily find good coleslaw and this ranks way up on my list of sources. This was my first visit and will definitely return.“

“Been eating here for years and recommending them for years if you want the best burger in Chesteron/Porter area. Some other favorites are the bacon wrapped poppers, steak or chicken flatbread, soups, and the only place I know that still has homemade pub chips. Just had my first ever minor issue with a cook on burgers and the owner addressed it and made it right. I am looking forward to their new bi-weekly specials to try some new items. Gastro 49 customers for life.“
