“I can call this place Glenwood Oaks reborn..It is owned by the former owners of the Oaks..Mostly known for their banquets the food is just as good as before..The bar is cozy enough but i came for the food..You have to try the ribs..I ordered a half a slab and the meat just falls off the bone..The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home..“

Very clean and up to date on style and decor.Tom and his staff were on top of everything! “The Birrierias were small yet yummy! At the time of my visit they didn’t sell extra toppings like hot peppers, and avocado slices, etc. If they did this would knock their food off the chart! The restaurant is small and my server was nice.I feel they’re a small business that has the potential to really expand into a huge business!Parking: Limited parking spaces.“

“look.. when I tell you they have accommodated me for every event I have ever had.. I've been supporting them back to when Laura kubiak was there. The past few years I have hosted my annual Christmas party there and not one complaint, food, phenomenal! Fresh. Tasty. Plenty to go around. Service amazing! Price is more than fair. I have been there for several funeral banquets as well, food is consistently amazing... besides that I was an avid fish fry guy on Fridays and that is even better. Wish I could give more stars!! “Very friendly and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Food was delicious 1/2 Henny chicken, green beans & potatoes, and macaroni & cheese) and seasoned perfectly, except for the bed of rice that the 1/2 Henny chicken was served on. I will return, but I'll ask for extra Henny sauce on the chicken. I am particular about macaroni & cheese, and this was perfect. Black-owned establishment as well.“
“I am from TX & as a southerner, I was definitely in awe when I walked in here. I was totally caught off guard when I noticed the grocery store had a buffet of hot food! I am not used to anything like that. the closest to a grocery store with a mini restaurant inside in Houston is Costco. And that is a bore seeing how you have to have a membership just to buy, it’s annoying. I was also in joy when I seen their cupcakes! the strawberry cheesecake cupcakes… ARE LITERALLY TO DIE FOR. seriously. I will be back in the summertime to really shop at the local market. BUT! I do want to advise those that even if you are getting cold or hot foods, ALWAYS CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATE! i bought a southwestern salad and had to throw it away because the lettuce wilted and smelled. if you are getting cold foods like soup, chicken salad or even a regular salad… eat it the same day or the next. don’t wait to save it for a different moment, it’s not gonna be good. I’m telling you, you will be upset. always ask the cooks how long has hot foods been sitting out, what time did the (let’s say shrimp fried rice) was cooked? always make sure! people nowadays will be selfish and not care for others.“
