“First stop on our trip. Ordered the chicken dinner. The food was hot, well seasoned, and flavorful.
The restaurant is not for you to eat in because at this time of the year, you would be uncomfortably hot.
The bathroom did not work either.
But if you want good chicken, this is the spot!“

“Food was fresh and tastes great! Place is clean, staff was friendly. We normally go to Dave's H.C. but they were packed. I'm glad we came here. In my opinion, the chicken here is better than Dave's (we still like Dave's but Byrd's is better). Highly recommend this place.“

During the busy lunch rush everyone was so kind, with smiles on their faces and kept the lines moving despite just how many people were inside and at the drive through. It’s always a pleasure visiting this location.“

“Purchased a large gizzard, soft with mild sauce. These gizzards are PERFECT! 4pm on a Thursday, no lines, 10minutes & my food was ready. This was my 2nd time at this location, I almost didn't go to this location, I'm glad I did. They are friendly & professional. I'm shocked the line isn't out the door. Nice serving size, original sauce, yummmy & yes I got soft gizzards & they were perfectly soft. So delicious. Hammond, IN corner of Indianapolis Blvd & Summer. Sorry, didn't take a photo😋😋😋😋“
