“Came in and the place was completely empty, sign said "seat yourselves" it felt kind of awkward but someone came out to greet us a few seconds later. Staff was super friendly and nice! I brought my grandmother and she wanted to split her meal with someone who wasn't able to come to the restaurant in person, so they brought out half of her meal and waited until we were almost done with the other half freshly made and packaged! Lake perch was great! Not like other restaurants that try to serve ocean perch as lake perch. The Nashville hot chicken strips were a little disappointing they didn't have any heat to them, but the chicken was cooked perfectly and the breading was really good so it made up for it! Mac n cheese was delicious, I was even impressed with the fries! None of them were soggy or over salted! I'm sad I couldn't have tried them sooner!“

“It was Friday so I was lazy and I had not had Harold’s Chicken for several years. When I worked downtown we had a food truck that would come for lunch. I ordered the following: wings with mild sauce, breaded mushrooms, fries (not in photo), and two pizza puffs. My dad was excited about the pizza puffs! The wings were perfectly seasoned, and not fried too hard. The texture of the fries was great! The mild sauce on the chicken was heavenly, and the mushrooms were light, and not overdone. I would definitely recommend them when you are in the mood. I spoke with Catina, and she was personable and professional.“

“Just finished an early dinner as my first experience with Cajun Crab House. It was outstanding! I had 6 raw oysters along with the Deep Fried Catfish and my son had a Crab Cake appetizer and Shrimp linguine. Some of the best seafood I’ve had in a while. Even better than the food was the service. I have problems with spicy food due to chemo and Ciara, our server, went out of her way to check the spice level of the food I had ordered. “We were a group of 9; 6 adults & 3 children looking for a more sit-down place to eat when the owner talked us into staying telling us we would not be disappointed, and we were not. Their menu had a huge variety of food to choose from, and all of us thought the food was great! I had French toast, hash browns & sausage. My husband had an awesome shrimp omlette that had more shrimp on it than anywhere else we have ever eaten that put shrimp in its breakfast. And even thought it was all packagesd as take out, there were three tables available to sit and eat. It worked for us! Great job S&G! It's a well-earned 5 star review!“

“We have Been at Theo’s at least 20 times in the last 3 years. The first time was the best and last night was the last. Food was a lot better 3 years ago. The staff seemed like they cared about you buying the right or the best value, Last night we were ripped off. David was our server. Telling how great the specials were with out telling us the price. My wife wanted seafood not steak. So we ordered her the seafood crab legs, lobster tail and shrimp. Crab legs tasted like they were frozen for a long time, the lobster was Tuff. Shrimp was good in garlic butter. I had a steak. With mushrooms. Do your self a favor ask what the price for any specials . DON’T BUY ANYTHING WITHOUT KNOWING THE PRICE. “If you're from Gary like me, THEY ARE BETTER THAN RAYS! Small building, clean, and you are able to see them looking from over the counter. One of the few places that have grape and strawberry crush soda ? catfish nuggets and large shrimp were fried perfectly, and breading was seasoned ....was able to eat without any sauce. The mild and hot sauces are ?! They are CLOSED on Sundays, FYI carryout only.“

“Tried this establishment for the very first time tonight I got the wing dinner and a side of okra with a Hawaiian pineapple sauce on the side let’s start by saying the food was FRESH and HOT food was great came out quick no complains not dry at all very fresh. Now the cons the okra was neither here nor there is was the basic thick breaded okra at most establishments but it was fresh the wings were a nice size they were fresh and hot now my only negative is the sauce it was straight WATER sauce is supposed to be thick or a little thick because it’s a sauce it’s supposed to coat your food. The sauce was so watery that I couldn’t even taste it, it just dropped off my chicken the sauce needs a big upgrade for sure because it’s WATER other then that I would return and recommend“

“I was passing by on my way to Indiana and I saw Shrimp Xpress and decided to stop by. The fried shrimp came in a paper bag with a tray and they were fresh, hot and delicious! They came with a nice tangy sauce, and I ordered a drink. My shrimp were great the texture was nice and they were not fried too hard and it had a nice batter. What you see photos of is one pound of delicious shrimp. It is an outdated drive thru, and you are ready to quickly pull out once you get your order. The staff was nice and friendly and my order was prepared in a reasonable amount of time. The reason for my 3 stars is because of the time it took them to acknowledge me when I arrived to the speaker. The reason for my rating of the atmosphere was just the layout of the drive thru.“

“An intimate setting for size. I will say their menu is extensive. You could bring a diverse group here and most would find something they wanted to eat. The pizza I had was ok, I have a feeling it would have been better on a larger sized crust. The fettuccine was good enough I suppose but the Alfredo sauce was sweet which wasn't quite my thing. If I could have done it over again I would have ordered something different. The staff was wonderful which I feel like was really the best part of the experience. If you are looking for a location to eat and don't want to get tied into a set menu this place could help you out in a pinch.
