“We were staying next door at the Residence Inn and wanted to grab a quick bite after our day of travels. We wanted a table that was a bit quieter, so the hostess Amelia hepped out tremendously, putting us somewhere secluded. I decided to have breakfast for dinner and the wife had the fried chicken sammich. I am always glad when a place knows how to make well-done scrambled eggs and this place does a great job!

Our server was Mary Ann, who was also friendly and attentive.

Bob Evans isn’t a fancy place, and none of them are. But it is comfortable, friendly and always has a down home “welcome” feel. This one is a great place to stop if you’re just passing through or if you are a local.

“This Applebee's is super! Staff is wonderful. Food is great! We stopped at the one in South Bend & after we were seated no one came by for 15 min & it was not busy at all at 2:30 in the afternoon. So we decided to keep driving. Stopped in at this WONDERFUL Applebee's in Valparaiso. Can't say enough good things!!! Thank you- it's been a rough day after a funeral, but you all were so pleasant- we greatly appreciate it.“
