“Haven't been there in years. Decided to go there this evening for St. Patrick's Day. All I can say is that there was no room for disappointment. The food was great and their staff was great as well. “We visited Carlson's and it was great. We fed four adults and 1 child for $43. The root beer was refreshing, the tenderloins were hot and crispy, the BBQ pork was flavorful, and the Chicago Dogs were good but slightly bland. Service was great and the food came quickly. Definitely recommend“

I did a reorder on fish and after 45 minutes the waitress said she was sorry but somebody else took my order. Paid my check and left. Don’t know if I will ever come back.“

“Had reservations to visit for a birthday dinner. Food and service was excellent. Had the smoked whitefish and deviled eggs for starters. Both were excellent. The table had a cross section of foods: the trout, salmon and steak pot pie. All were excellent. "The best salmon I ever had" was one of the comments. The only slight misstep was that the order was for chicken pot pie and we received steak pot pie. Our waitress noticed and offered to replace it. She couldn't pry the steak off the table it was so good! Highly recommend it. Make sure you get reservations.“

“Truly AWESOME catfish! It was perfectly fried, nicely seasoned, moist, and the breading (crust?) was top notch. I must say that, for me, this is the best catfish I have had in Northwest Indiana. They are also serving a very good coleslaw. I don't easily find good coleslaw and this ranks way up on my list of sources. This was my first visit and will definitely return.“

“I go here once in a while when I want a good ribeye steak and they always do it right. The baked sweet potato is my go to side and I always love the fried mushrooms for starter. If you ever get a chance to try the blueberry bread pudding for desert go for it it's phenomenal!“

Our party of 4 started off with the Baked Shrimp & crab dip which was delicious. The main dishes we had were the Seafood Boulliabaise, Walleye tacos, Seared Sea Scallops & Grilled Mahi-Mahi. “1st time here. Food was basic but decent. I had the perch, which was heavily breaded kinda like fried chicken. I prefer my perch pan fried, not heavily breaded. It came with fries and coleslaw, the coleslaw was good. My husband got the pork chop and said it was good, a little dry, but not bad. It came with green beans and mashed potatoes. The best thing I had was the lemon cake, it reminded me of a zinger and I was very pleased with it. Our server was great. She was kind, helpful with the menu, and overall attentive.“

Parking: Being this place is at a gulf course, and also a restaurant and has an event room the parking is a bit tight, but it works though

Wheelchair accessibility: There are plenty of ramps to get wheelchairs into the place, the doors are wide enough for wheelchairs and the tables are movable to accommodate wheelchairs“

“We found this place while driving into town. Tucked into a residential neighborhood with intriguing names of the food. I had a Miles Parker Burger which was definitely in the top 5 burgers I have had in the Midwest. Heaven cheese curds were quite good as well. The What’s my age again grilled cheese was good, but would be better with a grainy bread. The patio in the back is completely enclosed and would be hot in summer but was nice on a September night.“

“It was very clean, the waitress was very professional and couldn't ask for a better waitress. The wait time was minimal from hostess, seating, order time, and wait time until the meal was served. We ordered the 8oz. Pork Chops meal, which included a soup, french fries, dinner rolls, and mango tea. The price was reasonable and fair for what we received and it was very good. My waitress was very friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we requested.
