“First time trying this place I am so happy I did definitely will be a regular customer the spicy fried chicken paired with the hot sauce is absolutely divine . Chicken was cooked perfectly crunchy on the outside fall apart in your mouth on the inside perfect amount of seasoning I definitely recommend this place to anyone. thank you all for the wonderful meal“
“The fried chicken and the cole slaw tasted similar to KFC, but in a good way. The mashed potatoes with gravy tasted good and was better than KFC. I noticed that the macaroni and cheese tasted similar to KFC’s version. The rolls were good. On the bright side, the service was fast.“
“Haven’t been to this location in over 10 years. Decided to swing by for a bit of nostalgia. The place got a little bit of an update. There’s no longer a drive-thru so you have to go in. However, parking is odd - there’s the front parking and the side parking. The side parking is a pain getting in and out because it’s so cramped. Ordering was quick and easy and my food was ready at the next window after a few seconds. The customer service was decent but I don’t expect much from a grab and go kind of business… especially one in the downtown area. Food was great and tasted how I remembered it.“
“Calm, quiet and very clean atmosphere with a throwback/rustic theme. Employees were quick and thorough. Foods were delicious...chicken fingers were fresh and warm, the bread was super tasty and their dipping sauce was delish.Definitely give this joint a try, y'all won't be disappointed!“
“So impressed! Staying at a local hotel and needed a bite for hungry kids and adults. I called in the Family Meal of the chicken Tenders Dinner 20 pieces of Chicken tenders, fries and Texas toast. The person taking my order was very friendly and the order was ready upon my arrival hot and fresh!! The food was delicious all white meat chicken tenders and the sauce was so good. Great job!! Thanks kids loved them too!“
“I’ve had Gus’s at one other location before and was happy. This location keeps right up and served up delicious chicken, beans, and Mac and cheese. I also really love the fried okra here. The waitress was accommodating for my elderly grandfather who doesn’t move well and sat us near the entrance. My drink never got below half full. Loved it so much I bought a tshirt. Hopefully I can come back sometime soon with my whole family. This was way better than Joe’s bbq next door.“
