My server, Cliff, went above and beyond to make the evening memorable. He was not only attentive but also extremely knowledgeable about the menu. When it came to choosing wine, he listened carefully to my preferences and offered several excellent options that perfectly suited my taste, demonstrating his expertise and genuine care for the dining experience.

Although my overall experience was fantastic, I do wish the restaurant offered a broader selection of sushi dishes, as their limited sushi options left me wanting more. Nevertheless, the exceptional service, especially from Cliff, and the delicious food have certainly ensured that I will return again. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a delightful dining experience.“

“We had our Board of Director Holiday dinner in the Belvedere room and the experience was terrific. The food and drinks were excellent and the setting was great overlooking the main hall of Union Station. Service was excellent and organization of the dinner was convenient. Would definitely recommend and we will likely be back again in the future for dinners.“

“My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at The Melting Pot, and the staff was amazing and the service was great! They made our anniversary so special!! I can not thank them enough. The manager surprised us with chocolate covered strawberries, our table decorated with roses, and gave me a rose! Our hostess made us a special two year plate with a delicious raspberry sauce. I can’t recommend this place enough!“

“We had Kate’s for our wedding back in October! Flavors were absolutely amazing!! These are the best macarons we have had! My now husband is a pretty loyal customer and has loved every flavor he’s had! Kate was very responsive to emails and great to work with! These were a huge hit at the wedding and were gone pretty quickly!“

“I CANNOT believe they are closing the “Tea Room.” (Making room for more chocolate production). What a devastating loss to Kansas City! A lovely experience like none other. Chocolates are delicious, but a rare splurge. Very sad decision, especially since they aren’t giving their legions of fans much of a chance to dine one last time in their lovely, quaint and unique dining room...And no. “Fresh delicious food , the appetizers were amazing 👏 Baba Ganouj, Hummus , Lentil Soup with summak, and Falafel piping hot and crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The mixed grill took a while (so order early) but I know nothing was reheated. Everything cooked there and then. The chicken was juicy , flavorful snd succulent . The lamb chops finger the licking good. the beef sheesh kebab soft and juicy and not dry so the fat meat content was on spot. The only negative perhaps was the sheesh kebab was a bit salty 🧂 for my palate.“

“Been shopping at Laura Little’s candy shop for about 20 years maybe more. A work friend recommended it to me and have been going to it ever since. At Easter time the line goes out the door! Love this shop! Close to 75th and Stateline! It is on the Kansas side and I highly recommend this shop! All of their candy is great! Their Divinity is exceptional! He has a son that has a gluten and dairy allergy and his one request for his birthday this year was a key lime pie that he could share with his son. That was not an easy task to locate. Even though it is not something they offer on their menu, Mud Pie Bakery was willing to do a special order for a gluten free, dairy free key lime pie and I must say, we were blown away! It was delicious! The crust was delicious, the filling was tangy, and the whipped topping was sweet and balanced everything else out! Not only that, but it looked beautiful! The best part is that my boyfriend's son got to enjoy a sweet treat that the rest of the family was having and that is something that rarely happens, due to his dietary restrictions! “My dad raves about this bread. When I visit home, I always stop in to stock up my parent's freezer. Their favorite is the unsliced Italian loaf. The store does not accept credit or debit cards...cash only. The guys who work here are helpful. Parking is a bit limited, but it's a very small shop. It's usually not very crowded. People can shop quickly and get in and out without any problem.“
