“best pasta I've ever had and crazy high portions for less than 15$“

“Found Avenues through a Groupon. We bought the Shrimp Boil, Filet and Shrimp Scampi, Antipasto platter, and two cannolis. The meal portions were huge, our order could have easily fed 4 people. The shrimp boil was spicy, with a lot of shrimp, potatoes, sausage, and a whole ear of corn. The filet was flavorful, and the shrimp scampi was served similar to Alfredo, it tasted so good! The antipasto platter has lots of yummy bites, I really enjoyed the salami and artichoke hearts. The cannolis were great too! They also included a little bag of decorated mini cookies, with a ribbon and Go Royals! tag. I'm sure it was part of one of the entrees we ordered, but an unexpected but delightful little bread pudding was in our ca bag as well. Food was great, portions were large, and the staff at curbside was very nice. I do wish GPS hadn't left us about halfa block away though.“

“Usually great food, and we est here often. However, last week we were 100% dissatisfied! First, the entire meal was late, they had to substitute knots for garlic bread, waited forever and the calzone had literally one piece of meat about 1"x1.5" and what looked like a mozzarella stick for cheese. The meal was gross, late, over cooked and not what we ordered or paid for. So disappointed. Since it is a long drive we regularly make I doubt we will be returning. $34 meal wasted.“

“YAY! Bff and I travel to the Legends to get some topsys popcorn and sees candy. I ❤️the Legends (although bff was shocked chicos is no longer there). We opt for The Olive Garden which I haven't eaten at in probably a decade? Bff is adamant-we are going!!!! Okie dokie! Our server, Izzy, warns us she's back after graduating college and she may be rusty. NOPE! Not even close Izzy! Fantastic service and en pointe timing! She's gregarious and wonderful! We order the soup (minestrone) and salad and BREADSTICKS!!!!! Hooray for the breadsticks! It's just like I remember-the salad is crispy lettuce, black olives, tomatoes and croutons with the special dressing. It's exceptionally tasty (maybe because it's been so long? Idk). The soup is piping hot (big plus) and every spoonful is a medley of different beans, vegetables and pasta (and for once the pasta is not overtaken by all the other ingredients). The breadsticks? Oooooo just like I remember: warm, soft and doughy tasting. Absolutely sublime. I was excited bff didn't want any so guess how many I ate? Yep, you would be correct-all of them! In our defense we felt compelled to order a margarita as it was cold outside and we needed fuel to wander around The Legends. The margarita was delicious! Served icy cold!!!! And all the components balanced nicely! I would've had one more but walking around The Legends with 2 margars under my belt isn't wise. I've been known to burst into song and act goofy. Anyway, if you're in the area, do stop by! Ask for Izzy! I won't wait a decade to go back. It's nice to know some things are consistently scrumptious!“

“We came for KC Restaurant Week and 1889 did not disappoint! They have a wide selection, something for everyone in our group. Everyone was super friendly and we got our dinner quickly. Their wine recommendations were on point too. Will definitely be back again when we're in the area!“

“Came here to hear lunch on Veterans Day. Nothing disappointed me as I had a very polite waitress. I had the fettuccine Alfredo and breadsticks with a salad and everything was great. This Olive Garden has never failed to make me happy for the 4 times I’ve been here to eat“

Idk where the photos that are on here from before came from but please disregard that other ones because this was perfect! I am a huge critic and I honestly thought I was going to be disappointed because I looked at the gogole review photos after I placed my order....and I am absolutely impressed. The quality and value here are unmatched. A certain burrito bowl and kids choice taco meal with chips and guac and a large queso cost the same to deliver as two catfish combos, a chicken strip combo and three drinks a shake and a chicken leg and mashed potatoes and gravy. The okra covered the entire bottom of the container, my daughter's chicken strip side, cheese fries came in it's own container and it was FULL. It took the driver 17 minutes to get here and the fish was still hot and the breading was still crispy e to enjoy. They didn't forget the sauces either! Also, they have strawberry Fanta.... bonus points. Again. I can't say enough. You have got to try this place.“

“Awful!!! The chicken was grease soaked & pink, the noodles were overcooked, the Alfredo sauce had so much grease and oil sitting on top. I took a few bites & hours later threw up! The "manager" was supposed to call me for a refund and that never happened. I will never be back or ever recommend. Horrible customer service - thanks for the hour wait for the meal delivery as well as food that was not edible. Also the no call back "to make it right"“

“This was my first time El Centro from the moment I walked in. I really loved the vibe. It’s a small place and every seat is probably always filled. They’ve got an amazing bar, which looks like at sometimes you may even need a reservation to sit at the bar, but I would recommend this place for a fancy evening with your significant other or a date night with friends. The food is phenomenal and if you’re lucky you’ll get Jay Ensor he is phenomenal and always there to serve. You have any special request. He’s got your back. “The Grinder Meatball sandwich is unbelievable. The Italian bread roll they use is amazing, nice and crisp exterior with a chewy inside. Then the sauce with the meatballs is incredible. Tons of flavor and worth every penny. Also had the Dr Melfi and it was also amazing. The bread is incredible and lots of flavor and tons of cheesy goodness with the chicken and pesto. Just amazing. Service was impeccable, the two gentlemen working were very friendly, courteous and excited about the fact this was a first time visit. Atmosphere is enjoyable as the weather was good since external seating is the only option. A little more ambiance with the "alley" seating could liven up the seating arrangements but overall this is an amazing place with the best Italian bread I've had this side of Philly. I didn't specifically see a Philly cheesesteak but oh my if they have one I can only imagine how amazing it is.“

“4 sisters, all born in the area, visiting KC for the first time since 1967! Found Anthony’s for some great Italian takeout. Reminded us of one of our favorite local Italian restaurants back home. Friendly hosts and staff, food was nicely packed and delicious. There was a mistake on the online menu but they went above and beyond to make it right, offering a refund and Reid called us to be sure we would get our money back before they closed for the night. Very generous and impressed with their service.“

“The food was delicious, but I really wanted to make a point to leave a review about our server. From the very beginning, Tayla was attentive and kind. She made sure to give great descriptions of the food, but the real icing on the cake was how much she went above and beyond. We brought in a cake from the bakery, and the host offered to keep it in the fridge for us. Tayla brought out the cake for us to take pictures and sing happy birthday, and then took it to the back to cut it. The cake was butterfly themed, and she cut out my mom's piece to look like a butterfly. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough, but highly recommend asking for Tayla.“
