“Nice place, good food, and great service but the light fun atmosphere just tanked when the manager walked by. Not what you want to see on a Saturday night at this price point! It was actually awkward to experience the way the manager treated the employees. He literally yelled across the room at the bartender for no identifiable reason. Sometimes it’s watching the way someone treats others that ruins a nice time more than anything. It really is a nice place with good food and great service hopefully this part of the place can change. Appears mine isn’t the first review that involves the manager so hopefully they will fix this issue.“

As someone who has personally serviced their kitchen equipment, I can honestly say both locations keep an extremely clean and professional back of the house. Their kitchens are spotless, organized, and very well maintained, which says a lot about how much they care about quality and their customers. “My family and I came in to try Jumpin Catfish for the first time for my mom and I’s birthday. We were given a nice, quiet table in the back. Chris (sp?)was our server and she was absolutely wonderful! We were immediately brought out hot, fresh hush puppies followed by navy beans and coleslaw. This was all included with our meals! Two of us ordered AYCE Crab legs, which were accompanied by mashed potatoes and an endless supply of hot melted butter that was kept warm at the table. Another of our group got the AYCE catfish and loved it! There was also fried chicken and peel and eat shrimp which were all thoroughly enjoyed. The service was phenomenal and we were even given cobbler to take home for our birthdays but Chris went above and beyond and gave us a candle to blow out. Overall, the whole staff was AMAZING. They came to our aid this evening and I will be ensuring to pass that onto the owner. What a great experience, we will be life long customers.“

“The BEST Asian restaurant in the Northland! The food is absolutely amazing—every dish we’ve tried has been outstanding. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and the attention to detail is top-notch. You have to try the crab wontons—they’re a must! We just had the Tokyo crispy chicken, and it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Honestly, I haven’t had a single thing here that I didn’t love. Chris, the owner, always greets us with a warm smile, and he and his staff make you feel truly welcome every time. The filet was good and grilled to order, your badic filet. The scallops were fairly small for a $64 entree; the risotto, however was very good and the portion size was appropriate. We had the brussel sprouts and au gratin potatoes for sides and were disappointed with both. The brussel sprouts were big and tough; the au gratin potatoes were heavy and oily.“

We had the crab dip: (it was a special for the night) it was amazing filled with real crab and creamy cheese, ribeye with smashed potatoes: it was cooked perfectly with a unique flavor from the marinade, it did have a little more fat than I like but it was still very good, smashed potatoes were fresh made Yukons, yum!
My son had the burger and fries, he gave it a 8/10 with an extra side of the Mac and cheese, 100% recommend this, so creamy with a very unique flavor! Carrot Cake with warm homemade frosting is a must, key lime pie with fresh whipped cream yes please! Martinis and margaritas were go also! Will for sure go back when I’m back in town. The service was very good, the building is old and very dark but don’t let that discourage you from trying it.“

“Friends took me out for my 91st birthday and I requested Paulo's. Been there many times for 45 years. Always order chicken Piccata. Had garlic bread which was excellent. My order came and There was about a full cup of mashed potatoes with a small chicken breast on it. About 2". Chicken was not very tender and I ate the lunch in about 5 bites. Cost $16. no veggies or salad. Gentleman came over and asked how everything was and I told him . Portion was so small. He was very nice and took my lunch price off the bill. I will be back one more time because I really always liked it there. Also had lunch at 2:30 and no one else there but 3 people at the bar. I hope there is some improvement in the portions of some memu items in the future.“
