“The food is very, very good. We continue to have a problem with our order, however. In each of the past few times we've ordered food here, they would continue to get our food mixed up with someone else's. ?”
“First time trying them, I am a big fan of JACK and thought I would give something else a try. The meat portion size was small compared to other BBQ restaurants and the burnt ends were chewy and had too much fat in them. The Street corn/beef brisket was divine. I will give them another try with the burnt ends.”
“This place was amazing, the food was incredible! I recommend trying ALL the sides, they did not disappoint! The service was so good and friendly, I wish I lived closer so I could come back! So glad we went!”
“Would enjoy more vegetarian items on the menu. Dessert Souffles are great for Monday nights. I would also enjoy a savory souffle. The souffles might arrive faster if we had mentioned that when we reserved. However, we did order them the moment that we were seated. The wait staff seems to always be different people rather than loyal staffers.”
“We came here for a quick lunch and sat in the outdoor seating area. We got the tapa platter and two chicken shawarma sandwiches. Overall I really liked what we received. Everything tasted like it was made in house (with the exception of the pita). The dolma and falafel are some of the best I've had in the area. The falafel was packed with herby garlic flavor and the dolma was topped with balsamic which I haven't seen before. Both were flavorful and fresh, the baba ghanoush and hummus were also tasty and well seasoned. The chicken shawarma was moist and served with a side of garlic sauce. The staff were attentive and friendly. I can understand why some people mention small portion sizes and price (our meal came out to about 35 bucks) but we walked away quite full with food leftover. For an in-house made meal that is seasoned and cooked well, I thought it was worth it.”
“We loved having their food truck at our grand opening event, employees had nothing but great reviews of their product & service. Book your event, you won't be disappointed!”
“Tim was the best waiter. He was accommodating to our very large group and so much fun. He dealt with all of our loud chaos well. The drinks and food were good too and came out quickly. I got clam chowder and a lobster roll, which was great! Crab cakes were good too! We will definitely be coming back.”
“My cousin, our husbands and I had the best evening at the New Theatre and Restaurant on my husband's birthday. We caught the Elvis Aloha from Vegas tribute concert by Victor Trevino, Jr, and the Sweet Inspirations. The buffet-style food options were superb, and our waiter, Deonte, was outstanding. The show was everything we could have asked for! The hostess who seated us mentioned that if we closed our eyes during the performance, we could easily believe we were really listening to Elvis. She wasn't wrong!I can't recommend this venue highly enough!Parking: If you have a wheelchair, the ramp from the parking lot to the door is long, but not difficult to manage.Wheelchair accessibility: Seating in the entry tier is wheelchair accessible. We did have to pay $35 per couple extra for a table on this tier. It was necessary, but it's a shame they charge the handicapped a premium to attend.”
“This restaurant has become a regular haunt for us. The consistently superb food is matched by the efficient and friendly service of the staff. With generous portions and top-notch quality at surprisingly affordable prices, it's a no-brainer recommendation from us.”
“Overall, great experience. Wait staff was courteous and navigated the menu with ease. Had Bruschetta, Made to Order Omelet with brunch potatoes and a chocolate, flourless torte.”
“Our service was a bit slow this time and when the restaurant is full it is painfully loud. However both circumstances can be explained by normal business operations. The food was delicious as always. Will be back again I am sure!”
“The fettuccine Alfredo was THE BEST I've ever had. It was so creamy and flavorful. Parking wasn't too bad-it's just across the street. The staff was very accommodating and kind as well and the environment made it feel like we were in old school NYC. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone going through KC!”
“Our favorite ramen place! Super fast service though we have to wait in line on weekend dinner but not too long. It's also worth the wait! All staff are happy in their job and soooo quick! The atmosphere here is so lively! The BEST RAMEN IN TOWN OR SHOULD I SAY, IN THE USA! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Arigatou gozaimasu KC CRaft Ramen owner and staff! To more branches to open!”
“My first time in, and I found it to be charming. A bright and tidy place in a more historic part of town. The baristas were sweet and fun. If you get a drip coffee and choose to enjoy on premises, you pick out your own mug and get a free refill. It was a perfect Sunday morning stop.”
“My husband and I tried this place tonight and it was amazing. The people that runs this place are kind and the food was even better. I had the beef/lamb gyro plate and my husband had the beef/lamb sandwich, both were delicious. Simple place with outstanding menu and great service. 10/10 recommend! Will be back again soon.”
“Delicious food....smoked and chard burnt ends amazing but the best cheesy corn ever in KC for our barbeque joints. Kansas City style but light on the seasoning. Picnic tables are all over including on their stylish outside upper Deck.Parking: You can Park on three different East side West side in the north side of the establishment Eastside is the main parking lot..Kid-friendliness: Super cool family oriented spot! Bring your whole family!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy on ramps from east and west sides”
“I recently had the pleasure of attending their 5 course wine dinner featuring wines from Nickel and Nickel, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The wines were paired beautifully with each course and the food was spectacular. I was very impressed with the thoughtfulness that went into each course. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and definitely elevated our experience. Would highly recommend if you are able to snag a spot for these monthly dinners!”
“I would often to go to Peter May's when I lived up the street at the old seminary (St. Paul). Phyllis was the best. She treated me like family. I sure miss her and the restaurant. May God bless you!”
“I had lunch here on Saturday with my kids and a friend, and everything about the experience was exceptional. The food was great and the prices are surprisingly affordable, especially on the kids meals. But the service was phenomenal. They brought fresh pita bread out once we sat down, and more when the kids asked for it. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and they are clearly working hard to give everyone a great experience. Meddy's is a great addition to Brookside and we look forward to returning soon.”
“Edit: My clear view for best brewery in the city these days. World-class pilsners with exacting precision to specific regional styles. Extremely good modern IPA and pale ales. The barrel aged Madera beers are somehow both immensely rich and flavorful with technical excellence keeping them balanced and wanting more. The new cider was almost impossible dry, coming across more like a dry white wine then most videos I've had, a really impressive but also delicious pour.Exceptional coffee Porter, surprisingly good pilsner and Whit and just great beer across the board. Nothing particularly bold but they've only been around a few months. Maybe not as exciting as BKS but more consistently good.”
“Our service from Tameeka was fantastic. She was very helpful and friendly. Service was quick and the restaurant was clean and orderly. Overall a wonderful experience.”
“Had the Mr Burns sandwich with macaroni & cheese, food was fantastic, fresh & fast. Menu descriptions need worked on for some items, multiple items ordered in our party that had extra/unexpected things on them that were not listed in the description on the menu. Definitely a problem for people with food allergies.”
“Best pie I’ve ever had. Want to get pie somewhere else? Think it will be good? Stop lying to yourself. This is the best pie within 500 miles of itself, come and try it and awaken from your dreams.”
“We absolutely love Viona’s!!! The food-WOW! Athentic Italian prepared by a born and raised Sicilian - unmatched! And the Service and Atmosphere is like a big la famiglia dinner! Try it out or miss out on an excellent dining experience! We love you Bennie, Viona, Flora and everyone else!!Mike and ”
“I love walking to this adorable cafe every time I'm in KC. Amazing coffee, food, and atmosphere. The owners and staff are all really sweet. Highly highly recommend.”
“If you've ever thought to yourself "I could go for something sweet" TWO SUGARS is a must. First thing I noticed walking in was good music. Paired with Great coffee, and what may be the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. It was worth the visit.”
“The food was fantastic. The service was good. Will be glad to eat here again. For a first time visitor it was a little confusing, not knowing what to do, but even I was able to figure it ”
“A unique dining experience. I loved the castle. The food was really good and the staff is friendly. I recommend making a reservation. The seating was limited, but there was an upstairs available.”
“You cannot leave this place before you have had the Mushroom Toast. It’s perfection. Similar to a bruschetta with goat cheese, fresh herbs than a massive variety of mushrooms atop that have been sautéed to absolute perfection. We ordered 3, one after another bc we couldn’t be done. ?”
“I cannot say enough good things about 1900. We've dined here several times and are never disappointed. The food is some of the best in KC. The atmosphere is laid back, cozy and inviting. The service is friendly and the staff is knowledgeable about wine and food. We recently had NYE dinner here and had a wonderful dinner with expertly paired wines.”
