“Pretend this is a 4.5 star review. I enjoyed the food, unfortunately they had a large catering order so there was a bit of a wait, but nothing they could control. Food was delicious. Only real complaint I have is the seating. They have foot rests but your leg doesn’t actually fit under the table if you put your feet on it. And because they have foot rests, you have to sit farther from the table for your feet to fit in front of you (beware of hitting your shin on the foot rest, I made that mistake). Food was reasonably priced.“

“Being new to Mission, I've tried 4 dishes there now and am very satisfied. The service is very fast, the prices are accurate to the website and take out menu, the food is very hot and delicious and the servings are generous. Pricing is a bit lower than other Chinese takeout places, too.The steamed dumplings are great, General Tsos is not too sweet or overly sauced, the garlic sauce is perfection, and the Singapore chow Mei fun was soo good. I definitely recommend.I didn't care for the chicken fried rice (bland and plain) or the crab rangoon ( had a very sour taste, like spoiled milk and no sweetness).“

I just got released from work and felt like Mediterranean food, when I got there I realized they closed in 20 mins, the cashier asked what I would like took my order and was able to make the food, it was so fresh and delicious and I was told I could stay as long as I needed. “So it is Monday July 14 and we just left Joe’s BBQ and my wife told me that my BBQ is better the Joe’s any-day. Sunday night we went to Q39 and wow what a difference. My wife and I both had the 3 meat and sides of beans,and vegetables. Every single thing we had was great. Chicken(white meat) had good flavor but chicken is chicken. Sausage was full of flavor with the peppers. Ribs were fall off the bone and didn’t need sauce. The pulled pork was really soft and melted in the mouth good. So at this point I have to say if you are in Kansas City for BBQ go to Q39 last because nothing compares the it at least in Kansas City anyway.“

“Food is really good, I've ordered many times from them but my last order included an $8.25 fee for carry out supplies. They charge a percent of the entire bill. No where in the check out process do they tell you this. This seems excessive for 6 utensil packs and 5 takeout containers. Many other BBQ places with similar price points do not charge this fee. If you are going to charge extra fees be up front about it.“

“I think I saw an ad for Yafa Cafe on Facebook. We are always searching for good Mediterranean food, it's hard to find in Kansas City. Seeing Kibbeh on the menu automatically moved them to the top on the list. We really enjoyed our meals and appetizers! The kibbeh was good, the spanakopia was good. All of our meals were good. I really enjoyed the creamy chicken plate. The chicken shawarma was good. Everyone liked the kabobs (chicken and beef). We will definitely be back! The owner and employees were very nice and helpful. Highly recommend!“

“We came in tonight and it was our first visit but it definitely won’t be our last. We moved here from Florida about 2 years ago and have been searching for a sushi spot that is just as good as our favorite place back home and hadn’t found it untill tonight. This was hands down the freshest sushi we’ve had in KC. Everything including the fast friendly and knowledgeable staff was outstanding. One person in our party has never been a sushi eater, just recently started trying new things and still wasn’t sure about it but that changed tonight.“

“I remember hearing about this place years ago but never went. It popped up on my FYP on TikTok so I decided to give it a try. My family and I drove down on a Saturday around 12:30. Not sure where it was exactly, we ended up driving by it and having to turn around. There is only street parking available so we parked 1/2 a block up and walked down. We weren’t the only ones who did. The steady flow of people coming in and out was a lot. Good for business. They only accept cash, which is good to know beforehand. We ordered the famous pork tenderloin, a cheeseburger and fries. Everything is alacarte. Which is also good to know beforehand.
The tenderloin had good flavor but was fried very hard. My husband enjoyed his but said it was too spicy, he had the hot sauce. Overall, it was good. Glad we finally tried it.“

“Awful!!! The chicken was grease soaked & pink, the noodles were overcooked, the Alfredo sauce had so much grease and oil sitting on top. I took a few bites & hours later threw up! The "manager" was supposed to call me for a refund and that never happened. I will never be back or ever recommend. Horrible customer service - thanks for the hour wait for the meal delivery as well as food that was not edible. Also the no call back "to make it right"“

“We had a fantastic dinner at Blue Bird Bistro on Monday 9/16. We sat in the bar area and had the Bartender as our Server. She made us *perfect* dirty martinis, and recommended some excellent dishes and wine. We loved the salmon appetizer and the desserts most of all. “Usually great food, and we est here often. However, last week we were 100% dissatisfied! First, the entire meal was late, they had to substitute knots for garlic bread, waited forever and the calzone had literally one piece of meat about 1"x1.5" and what looked like a mozzarella stick for cheese. The meal was gross, late, over cooked and not what we ordered or paid for. So disappointed. Since it is a long drive we regularly make I doubt we will be returning. $34 meal wasted.“

“Aside from parking, this place is really great. I love their pho and their fried rice. I have been here twice, and the second time I brought my friend from out of state, and he enjoyed the curry and the Vietnamese iced coffee.

“I know this is a bold statement to make, but this restaurant’s the best Lao restaurant I’ve visited thus far in the U.S., and I’ve been to quite my fair share of them in the U.S. in these past seven years. The workers and owner here at Khop jai der noodles are very friendly and the larb nam tok siin, thum khao poon, nam khao, khua mii, Lao beef jerky, Lao sausage, Lao milk tea, red summer drink, and green summer drink are the bomb! I love that all the dishes I ordered are as authentic as how my Lao friends/family and I’d make it, have reasonable prices, and have reasonable portion sizes. A lot of Asian restaurants in the U.S. are all over the place with their spice levels, but this restaurant doesn’t play, and their “hot”/second most spiciest level, was pretty spicy for someone who can tolerate a lot of spice. It’s nice that I was made clear of this as I was ordering. Their wait times are also reasonable. I ordered a lot, not to mention that they were also taking other in-person and over-the-phone orders, but I got all my dishes in less than 30 minutes. I had a fun time talking with Auntie Mimi, the owner, and Uncle Guy, the co-owner, after my meal. Uncle Guy even offered to help me box my food and take my food to my car, but I didn’t take up his offer since I didn’t want to get in the way of other orders/customers. Lastly, I wanted to note that Auntie Mimi was very courteous on the phone when I called two days before my visit to confirm their hours. Restaurants like this one, one that offers authentic Lao dishes and isn’t afraid to label itself and its menu as Lao, are the ones I wish to succeed the most and wish there were more of in places outside of Laos. I was smiling from ear to ear seeing all kinds of customers coming in, ordering the Lao-style of dishes, and seemingly pleased with their orders. This restaurant’s only been open 16 months at the time of my visit, and I hope that it gets all the love and attention it deserves very soon! I certainly can’t wait to check it out again the next time I’m in the area and wouldn’t even mind driving from my home, three and a half hours away, just to eat here!“
