“I really only come here for the sports bar atmosphere. Food is not anything spectacular but tolerable much like any other sports bar in the area. Service this day was sub par. I think our bartender/ server may have been high, as they really messed up our order. But all in all, kinda what I expect from Johnny's.“

“Love this place! The staff is so so nice and the food is great. Will say, the live music is WAY too loud. Talked to multiple people during the live music and they agreed. It was a great performer but was hard to hear my server and people around. If the sound was turned down just slightly during live performers it would be 10/10!! Otherwise food and staff is amazing“

“We ate there Saturday afternoon and they weren't overly busy. Two of us got the shrimp platter with fries and onion rings. Unfortunately, the shrimp and hush puppies were burnt. They were so overcooked they weren't moist at all, dry as can be. The waitress forgot to bring the malt vinegar for our friends fish platter. Then she ordered a mule beer and the waitress never did return with that either. Food used to be great. Hopefully this was just a bad day. We'll give them another chance.“

“One of my favorite bars! The buffalo chicken sandwich is really one of the best around! I have even enjoyed the dart board and pool table a few times. There is only one, so dont count on it being available, but it is an unexpected surprise. Be sure to check out the upstairs. Thank u for keeping standards high while other restaurants drop lower every year. I recommend this place to everyone!!“

“This restaurant(s) is so unique and incredibly sophisticated no matter what venue you are looking for this is the place! The atmosphere is awesome due to the incredible décor, large screen, a multitude of different type of seating, large TV’s located all around the bar! The service and restaurant is second to none! The bartenders are so professional and friendly. Believe it or not we were actually asked if we were satisfied with our drinks! We were politely and professionally served our many food and drink selections! When our pizza slices were served, my mouth dropped, because I have never seen slices of pizza so huge! I have not had a slice of pizza that was so good with just the right amount of tasty toppings on mine! We ordered chicken wings, half naked and half buffalo wing sauce. The chicken wings had been fried to perfection and was so good we could not make up our minds which type of chicken wings was the best, so we called it a pleasingly tie!“

“Going on 4 years and this place just gets better and better! While you can always find entertainment here the service stays on point! Very attentive. The outside patio is beautiful and gives some space while you eat. We love the lamb and wygau beef burgers. My kids eat the pizza and wings while I enjoy their yummy cocktails! From burgers to nachos and eveything in between you'll feel like you ate anywhere but a bar. Just make sure to get a side of ranch for yourself! Gaels is constantly helping organizations in the community with fundraising and support! A true beacon in kc!“

“The food was fresh and flavorful. What had the most flavor was the personality and presentation by our food server Brooklyn. Brooklyn knew the menu inside and out. “We recently visited here and really enjoyed it! When we arrived, there was no wait, partly due to the fact that it was 4:45 in the afternoon. The police was your typical restaurant bar set up and I assume because of the time there wasn’t a lot of servers, but would likely change later in the evening. The bartender actually became our server and was extremely pleasant, and we loved her. The food was excellent, and the beer was cheap. Overall we would definitely go back.“

“🚨GUACAMOLE CHANGE! We’ve been coming to Ponaks for 30 years. The guacamole has aways been one of our favorites. Today we ordered it and immediately noticed something was different. We asked the server and he confirmed that they have changed their recipe, and it’s for the worst. They’ve added “filler” by putting pico and other ingredients into it. It’s not even close to what it was. I hope they don’t start changing their food and Margaritas!!! There is a reason people keep coming back year after year! Please dont mess with perfection Ponaks!“

“Moe was amazing! She handled the entire bar/restaurant by herself on a Chiefs Sunday! She served everyone's drinks and food, cleaned up everywhere, wiped off tables if spills or anything happened, cashed out everyone tabs, literally did everything by herself! And she made it look easy, which we all know but that could not have been easy! I really appreciate her and her hard work!

“This is a small, local bar that is playing sports on a few TV's which I guess makes it a sports bar. But give it a chance. The owner was extremely nice and yet was bantering with the locals like a salty sailor. The wings were surprisingly good, their house sauce was spicy and tangy. And the locals were also friendly. This is not a chain place, but if you want a beer and good wings this is the place to go.“

“Love the steak/filet special they offer on Fridays with all the trimmings. I enjoy the French Dip sandwich. The meat is always tender, but the hogie bun has little taste. Having a pretzel bun or something different would be much tastier for that sandwich.“
