“It's hard not to like Anchor grill. It's as "local greasy spoon" as it gets, but it has a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Sort of if your Mom and a couple of her friends opened a diner, and you stopped in for dinner. The staff are friendly and polite, and the food is surprisingly solid. If I'm in the Midwest, I have to satisfy my breaded, fried pork tenderloin sandwich craving. Theirs is thin but decent, and you can't beat the price. Cash only. Give it a try. The pancakes look great. If you're not a local, be aware many restaurants here allow you to smoke inside, and this is one of them.“

“Just moved to Covington heard alot about Libby's, so decided to check it out. I will say they have some of the best chicken, was not dry at all like a few other reviews state. I'm a picky eater when it comes to Mac/cheese and mash potatoes. Libby's seems to make both just the way I like 'em, so so good. One of the people that was with me ordered the Charlie Brown, they were not sure if they were gonna like it, well they loved it and will order it again. It is a little pricey but all that we had was um um so good. Oh and our server was AMAZING!(sorry don't remember her name). I would definitely recommend Libby's.? to Libby'sParking: They do have a parking lot for about 15 cars for dine-in but there is plenty of street parking.“

“While on spring break from Raleigh, North Carolina, my son and I made it a priority to visit Nolia Kitchen after hearing about it and Chef Jeff Harris' James Beard Semi Finalist. Located in the vibrant Over the Rhine neighborhood, known for its local restaurants and shopping, we planned our early dinner around this exciting hotspot. As we arrived at Nolia around 5pm, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The host was both kind and efficient, while our server impressed us with their sweet demeanor and extensive knowledge of the menu. Though we had already perused the menu, our server still took the time to share some additional offerings. With our choices in mind, we placed our orders, which included the following:- Gulf Oysters (6) from both the East and West Coast- Cauliflower- River CatfishTo complement our meal, I indulged in the delightful Goretti Park cocktail. Each dish was served with care and precision. My son particularly enjoyed the East Coast Oysters, while the cauliflower, accompanied by raisins and honey (we asked for it on the side), left a remarkable impression. Personally, my favorite was the catfish, paired with crawfish and grits. The combination of flavors was truly exceptional.During our visit, we were fortunate enough to meet Chef Jeff himself. He graciously shared his vision for the restaurant, adding to the overall amazing experience.Thank you, Chef Jeff Harris and team, for providing us with a memorable dining experience at Nolia Kitchen, worthy of your James Beard recognition.“

“We had a birthday celebration of six personnel tonight and it was an excellent experience. A reservation was made and we had no wait time to be seated. The waitress was the owner’s sister and she was very courteous with excellent customer service. This was my first time and when I come back in town will make repeat visit. You get plenty of food and some had to take to go containers. Kudos to the chef tonight.“

“If you haven’t been here yet you NEED TO GO!! My husband and I stopped in while we are staying at an AirB&b down the street, we were lucky enough to get Abby who from the minute we sat down was extremely helpful with beer selection to accommodating dietary restrictions! The food was absolutely fantastic and is enough reason to come back but Abby was definitely the cherry on top after a long day of flying in from Dallas!“

“The food is epic. It definitely over delivers. The wings are fantastic, brined, rubbed, smoked and I am assuming fried prior to serving. The flavor is fantastic, even with the tame (by heat) sauces. These are easily on par with Knock Back Nats wings and not as spicy, so they probably appeal to many more.I also had the Smoked and Fried Bologna Sandwich! Epic! Tater tots are really good, and the kids' chicken and waffles were also excellent. We will be back for sure. I suggest you try this place out if you hadn't before. Being inside Alexandria Brewing Company is also a bonus as they have some pretty solid beers as well.Ok we went back on a Saturday. And they definitely need to step up their game in the kitchen. They took orders with buzzers. Why they don't take all orders as they come is beyond me. wouldn't you want to know what's incoming? I don't know. The food was great the first time. We've been waiting 2 hours the 2nd time. Perhaps come on a weeknight and expect slow service.? Not a great 2nd experience.“

“Great little BBQ spot!! We were traveling through the area and wanted to try some BBQ...while searching came across Just Q'in BBQ. We ordered Brisket, Ribs, Rib tips, and the Brisket and Mac bowl. Everything was pretty good, the Mac needed a little more cheese but other than that the BBQ was great with a nice smoke to it!! Overall, Great BBQ spot!!“

“This place has amazing food for a reasonable price, just simply the best sit down place for your money. The service is 9/10 top notch. But honestly one bad apple doesn't spoil the bunch when the food and price is this good. If you go gotta get the best cheese fries bar none“

“Popular brunch spot on the weekends. We had the pancake tacos and the fried chicken tacos with loaded tots. Everything was delicious! My husband absolutely loved the loaded tots! I only wish the food had come out a little bit hotter. Our service was good. However, the food did take a while. It wasn't a problem for us, but it is something to be aware of if you are on a schedule.“

“TLDR: go here, order everything, have no regrets! We hadn't been since they moved to Newport. The building is an adorable converted home with fun and beautiful decor. The staff is all friendly and attentive. Our server Kelly was fantastic! Everything is priced reasonably, especially considering what a unique and high-quality experience you get.Our food was phenomenal: Eggplant Napoleon, Classic Buttermilk Biscuits, Angry Orchard Cider Onion Soup, Fried Chicken & Waffle, and Voodoo Salmon with Safron Purloo.I went there with my spouse and we ended up taking home 2 biscuits, half of each entree (chicken and salmon), and the table bread. So come hungry and plan to take home lunch for the next day!Biscuits: 4 biscuits. Came with honey, butter, and jam. A southern staple perfectly executed.Eggplant: I will dream about this for years to come. If you have never tried eggplant, this is the fish that will make you a believer. Eggplant was thinly sliced and breaded. Not slimy (if you eat eggpant you know this is always a risk at restaurants). The cheese in between laters tasted like soft seasoned cream cheese. The red sauce was also well seasoned and full of veggies. Mmmmmm.Soup: kind of like a BBQ French onion. These ppl know how to layer flavors so well. Every bite you can identify something new.Chicken & Waffles: the breading on the chicken is devine! There's a reason they're famous for Chicken. Sweet potato Waffle, bacon, pecan butter- what's not to love?Voodoo salmon: nice crispiness on the outside of salmon, but still fell apart wonderfully (how perfectly cooked fish should). Sauce, rice, andouille, crawfish- fancy southern at its finest.Thank you to all the Purple Poulet staff- you are part of something really special!“

“The first night we came, it was a wonderful evening being seated in the cozy tea room area, not crowded or cramped feeling. Soft big band jazz playing, clean, pleasant atmosphere with upscale decor with interesting rustic aspects.I had the grilled fish special which was Haddock I believe, and it was so delicious. Wonderful glass of house Cabernet. Amazing waiter, an older gentleman who was so attentive and friendly.Another night we were seated in a larger area filled with customers. It felt a bit too crowded for me, tables too close together but still a nice evening. A booth would have felt a bit more private probably. My salmon harvest salad was yummy. Everyone was happy with their selections but one person felt a little disappointed his was served with rye bread, that was not even toasted, and just looked like generic bread from the grocery.Parking: The parking lot is adjacent to the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: no stairs, ground level“

“While it is not the cheapest option, that is partially because of the freshness of the product. I have had all but the Jalapeno version of their chicken salads and loved every one. The grape dessert is also amazing and I highly recommend it, and my kids love the cookies. My favorite way to eat any of the chicken salads is on the croissant, but my wife likes to eat them with the crackers. Either way is delicious! If you haven't, I recommend trying here for a different take on lunch or dinner!Parking: There is plenty of parking, but sometimes you may have to park further out in the lot.“

Burnt ends are good as well as the pulled pork, brisket, really everything... wings are good just not our favorite but there are a lot of options. you'll be happy if you go here. We will be back soon.“

“Great customer service. and fresh , hot fish, chicken, shrimp and don't forget the Chicago style sandwiches. If you make them a combo you get fries and a drink. If you want to feed the family or having a party get your family meals of fish or chicken all topped off with lemon pepper.“

“The customer service here was top notch for a busy day! All the staff was friendly and worked together to get my lunch out to me fast! I was really impressed with the teamwork at this restaurant. They were wonderful! I thought the chicken salad was ok, I tried the Buffalo Barclay, the Classic Carol, and Fruity Fran. They all needed a little more seasoning so I was glad I brought it home. It was delicious and fresh though!“

“Sage, our server, was great. She was very busy, but didn't neglect us. So, the 4 stars on service are not for Sage, but for Cracker Barrel. We normally avoid Bob Evans when traveling on a Monday and go to Cracker Barrel because Bob Evandls is out of so much on Monday.Cracker Barrel had them beat today! I forget all the foods she listed, and then afyer I got my salad she found out they were out of my vinaigrette dressing!I probably would have ordered something else if I had known. So, not our best Cracker Barrel visit.“

“First time visit. So many choices, hard to pick just one. Poblano chicken soup was delicious. Chicken salad on croissant was fantastic as well. I will make it a point to visit again.(Hard to park at Oakley location - try street parking on Marburg)“
“Just ordered pulled pork and mac n' cheese from Eddie for large gathering. One of my guests said it was the best bbq pulled pork he has ever had, and he had to stop himself from going back for thirds. We all enjoyed it. So glad we ordered from Eddie's! Made prepping for our party much easier.“

“Gavin was our server. He took our order, delivered drinks, delivered food, refilled glasses, removed dirty plates then gave us our check and to go boxe. Throughout all of this he had a smile each and every time he came to the table. Oh, the food was very hot and delicious.Vegetarian options: They offer many of the veggies for the country platter.Parking: Large lot on side of building. There are a few handicap in front as well as carry out. I wish they would move the carryout to the side and add more handicap places.Kid-friendliness: All kids are welcome with color activity sheets. Games on table and checkers at the fireplace.Wheelchair accessibility: ♿ parking, although I wish there were more available.“

“Great casual semi dive bar feel with excellent food and cocktails. I had the Clockwork Orange ? and my husband had the spicy bloody. For bites we went with the burger and fried chicken sandwich. The side salad dressing was excellent. Love the Covington, KY laidback vibe.“
