“Upon entering, it smelled like cleaning products but it wasn’t that bad as once your in, you get used to the smell. Fried chicken wings were not that good. Pepper steak and sesame chicken combination platters with pork fried rice was so flavorful and good for a Chinese spot. The pork eggrolls were fine too.“

“We celebrated our anniversary here yesterday with a delicious lunch. Our server, Amanda, was so friendly and helpful! Hubby had the cod and fried oysters and declared the oysters were the best he ever had. My shrimp basket was loaded with huge shrimp and the Cajun fries were very good. We topped that great meal off with complimentary slices of strawberry and chocolate cheesecakes for our anniversary! We will definitely be back!“

Personally, I order the Fish and Clams when I go, you dont have to order that but you're also entitled to have a wrong opinion of the best thing to eat, Perfect place for a 3rd date, would willingly fight a goose in the parking lot to get inside if I had to, inside its exactly what you would expect... old people taking up all the tables like some sort of early dinner club, I believe I was the only person not wearing geriatric tennis shoes out of all of my visits there. I feel like the restaurant is slightly misleading because they dont actually have whale on the menu, it seems like basic white fish, the same as the old people inside (basic and white). Overall have went, have returned and Lord willing will return again.“

“My visit to this Moby Dick fish restaurant left me disappointed. The fish sandwich didn't taste like I recalled from earlier years. I don't know if the batter or the oils in which the fish is fried has changed or if it was my taste buds being a bit off from hours earlier brushing my teeth with toothpaste and mouthwash rinse. Consequently, I'm not going to leave the three star rating I would if I knew for certain it wasn't my taste buds affecting the taste. Even still, the fish sandwich was hot and well prepared and tasted fine, but it seemed just a bit off from the exceptional taste I recalled from a regular visits a few years earlier when I regularly patronized the Moby Dick in St Matthews before it closed. I'll try it again soon and make sure I am hours away from having brushed and rinsed. Ha! I appreciate the Moby Dick establishment and that we still have it in Louisville, so I hope my taste buds were off.“

They made my day 1000x extra special, took care of my food and drinks, and even gave me a platter of desserts to try! “Small eating area but that doesn’t matter to me. The food is delicious! I had the fresh crab cakes, fresh Brussels sprouts…omg amazing. I didn’t have room to eat the fresh asparagus and I ordered a California cobb salad with jumbo shrimp and fresh lobster claw meat with avocado which I will have for lunch tomorrow. I placed my order online late last night when I read about the fresh crab and scheduled to pick it up at 4 today. He cooked it all right there in front of me, everything fresh and tasty. “We dined at the Hurstbourne location for Valentine's Day and was not disappointed!! There were full vases of flowers on every table as well as a Valentine's balloon. The restaurant was so festive, then to add to the ambiance a strolling violinist was playing a beautiful love song. My phone died so there aren't any pictures of the delicious food. The baskets of tortilla chips even had red heart shaped chips in the mix. Gustavo's pulled all the stops to make this holiday special for their customers!“

“Can’t speak for the entire menu … but the Shrimp Cargo App is so good! (Note: Takes a bit to make so order asap!) If you like shrimp, mushrooms and cheese, you will be in heaven! Several dressings are made in house - so they are exceptional … I personally love the Blue Cheese Wedge! My favorite cut of meat is the filet … never disappointed there! We usually share a cut with another hot plate … and some yummy sides! So good - but sit at the bar on the weekends with Pam! She’s so awesome!“

“This place really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We accidentally reserved our seats on the wrong date. The host made sure we were still seated even with the mix up.

The food was amazing. My chicken tenders could have been cooked a few minutes longer. The Mac and cheese is a must try! So creamy and buttery! The Ribeye was great! Sweet, but very tasty.
