“Excellent service, wonderful food!“

“It's rare that we have a date night on a weekday with two young children, but tonight was the exception. When I realized our anniversary was falling on a Wednesday, Perso was the first place that came to mind. Perso's Prix Fixe Menú is available every Sunday through Wednesday and offers a three course meal for $29. It's no secret that I'm a fine dining enthusiast; but who doesn't love a bargain? If you're looking for a nice night out without breaking the bank, this is your spot. Perso sits at the corner of Oak and Shelby in the same location as the former Square Cut Pizza. The giant windows in the front provide an abundance of natural light. The interior has a modern industrial vibe with painted exposed brick, plants, and Edison bulbs hanging on pendants. One wall with wooden slats gives a Scandinavian feel to the main dining area. It's a small-ish intimate space with a beautiful patio. For my first course, I chose Crostino Di Tonno- olive oil poached tuna, stracciatella, pickled celery, and Calabrian chili. I followed my first course with olive oil poached swordfish, corn chowder, and golden zucchini scapece. For dessert, I had the chef's choice: apple strudel with whipped cream cheese. My husband chose heirloom tomato with roasted eggplant, bagna couda, and fine herbs. For his main course, he had pork tenderloin with edamame, beef dashi, and fine herbs. We both opted for the chef's choice for dessert. I tasted each of his courses and they were every bit as delicious as my own. The edamame provided the perfect texture and his tenderloin dashi tasted gravy-esque without being overly heavy. Mostly notable, besides the insane deal for such decadence, was the fresh flavor combinations throughout. Our table had fresh rosemary as a centerpiece. The corn chowder was right up my alley. I could've licked my bowl if I wasn't trying to pretend to have a bit of class. The swordfish was tender, juicy, and not overly fishy. The tuna flatbread was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The mint on top of my whipped cream cheese truly set it apart. My lavender Manhattan was earthy and smoky, not just in flavor. It was literally smoking. My husband had an old-fashioned. Neither of us were disappointed. Our server, Amanda, was phenomenal. She offered recommendations. She visited our table to ensure we were satisfied the perfect number of times. Her warm demeanor was professional while also being personable. She was everything we hope for in a server. Perso's Sunday through Wednesday Prix Fixe Menú is hands-down one of the best opportunities for an affordable night out. That being said, once you get a taste of what they have to offer, you'll be sold on splurging any day of the week.“

“Staff was the rudest I have ever encountered at the Middletown location. I also witnessed extreme rudeness to a door dash driver who had clearly been waiting a while and when they asked about the order having been marked 10 minutes ago as ready they were told "We don't care about YOUR numbers, we have to appear to be on time." He looked like management. I turned and left, I will not do business with someone being rude to staff or anyone providing a service to them any more than rudeness to customers.“

So i googled Ethiopian coffee shops in Louisville and found Abol cafe. visited today and had some pour over coffee, it was the best coffe i've ever had, and i have tried coffee everywhere!!!! believe me when I say this place has the best Coffee around. This place more than exceeded my expectations of Ethiooian Coffee!!!! I will be visiting this place alot more.“

“Had a great time on what ended up being a private tour for my wife and I since no one else signed up. I'd give it 5 stars if this were Yelp. Really interesting story on their more recent challenges and how they have thrived/survived. They have some great whiskeys to try and some of their unique finished stuff is incredible. If I had one complaint, it would be the plastic tasting cups.“

“Usually don’t go out to bakery’s due to having a lack of selection I enjoy, this exceeded my expectations for such a small amount of options… if you’re from Mi they are like crumbl cookie but overall better flavors, taste way fresher, and cheaper then 99% of places I’ve been, if your local to LV KY they would be a great spot to get treats consistently, I am from mid Michigan and have saved this in my phone in case my work ever sends me near again :) 10/10 5star“

“Fantastic pizza, probably the best I’ve ever had. Service was spectacular. We came to Louisville for a concert, but it was worth the 7 hour drive just to get this pizza. Make sure you get a reservation in advance. We’ll be back any time we are going to, or through Louisville.“

There's no place except the smoking barn to escape the loud music.“

“If you are looking for top end coffee, Fante's has the best beans in town. They source directly with the farmers and hand roast everything themselves. Each bag is hand marked with the date/roast/etc.

I talked with one of their roasters, Derek, and he walked me through all the details about each blend. You could tell he was a craftsman and knew his art. Lots of different choices, and each bag brings out the best of what that particular bean or blend of beans has to offer. If you want to taste what coffee actually is supposed to taste like, get your beans here. Best in city!“

“The "atmosphere" is fine... The tables and chairs look and feel like they belong in an 80s pizzeria, and are showing the wear and tear of being older, outdated, and not the best. And if that makes you not want to eat here, you are a damaged person... This food is amazing. As in, making a good run for best burgers in the city amazing. The prices are reasonable, the selection has something for everybody, and the staff are wonderful. But... My friend, Bro, Dude, Bruh... The food...
