Our service has always been wonderful as well, yet this year it was lackluster. One time out of 10 is just a fluke this year i am sure.“

We had the cheese and hummus plate as a starter and I was not a fan. The hummus was gummy and had an odd flavor. The rest of our group didn’t mind it. I could have had the bruschetta as my meal… yum! For dessert we had the bread pudding and asked to have some bourbon to pour on top (so good!), the lava cake (wow) and the brûlée (coffee flavored and very nice). We were the last to leave and Jessica and the rest of the staff treated us if we had all the time in the world. We so appreciated that! Our experience was so special! Thank you!“

Heat was intense, table was so loose we would not be able to hold it and eat, and table was covered with some sticky substance. We would have asked to move but nobody came to the table. So we left. Sad because the food is good!“

“I had an amazing experience at the Bourbon Tasting Academy! As a bourbon lover, this place is perfect as you wait for your flight.

A special shoutout to McKenna, who truly made the experience unforgettable. She suggested and crafted my very first bourbon Bloody Mary, and wow, I didn’t know bourbon could work so well in that format. It was bold, balanced, and honestly a game-changer. Her creativity and friendly energy elevated the whole experience.

The Bourbon Tasting Academy is a must. Come for the bourbon, stay for the people (and definitely say yes to McKenna’s recommendations!)“

“I first tried Barry’s Cheesesteaks four years ago when we moved to Louisville and am so glad I did. In all my travels, including Philadelphia, I’ve never had a cheesesteak than can begin to compare to Barry’s. The amount of meat and toppings used is double the amount you’d get anywhere else and the bread is always fresh. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Barry’s is at the top of my list of restaurants to take all my out of town guests to. Barry’s story is so inspiring and I love the Christian atmosphere of his restaurant. 5 stars at every visit!“

First off, the staff, absolutely phenomenal. Every single person I talked to (I’m sorry I don’t remember names, my memory is lacking currently) was so sweet and helpful. I appreciate every single one of you. Second, the food was perfect and delicious. Third, the room itself was everything I hoped it would be and more. The team working helped us make everything absolutely perfect. I cannot imagine a better place to have an event-from the staff, the food, to the location and the service. Beyond grateful for you all! I hit the jackpot with expert bartender CC, who took my request for a custom whiskey flight as a challenge and knocked it out of the park with three choices setup in the perfect order. She knew the story behind each one and quickly looked up some additional details on her phone when she wasn't sure. The bar is clean and spacious and full of light. Whiskies are arranged by family for easy identification. She described a "Black Manhattan" that sounded delicious, but I'll have to try that next time. Proof on Main makes the perfect place to treat your taste buds while waiting for a distillery tour. Slainte!“

“Fun, clean, safe atmosphere! Great place to grab a bite with the kids and then a beer (or several) later on. TV set up is solid, great bar games (Pool, Golden Tee) and it has the #1 ranked burger in the city of louisville!“

“The owner and his staff are very friendly. The restaurant is really clean on the inside. The first time I ordered, I got a rib tip dinner with greens and Mac and cheese. The second time, I only ordered rib tips and one of the staff asked me did I want sides. I told them no because I had sides at home. I let them know that the Mac and cheese was not so great and the owner came out and apologized for that and gave me a free slice of cake to make up. I thought that was really nice of him. He told me that he appreciated my feedback. I still visit every weekend and I get rib tips, greens and potato salad now and a slice of cake but I gotta get it early before it sells out.“

“Exceptional breakfast, best breakfast I have had at a hotel! Had scrambled eggs, grits, and a breakfast burrito, it was all delicious, thank you chef Mike and Terry, the breakfast burrito was my favorite! Jacob service was wonderful! I will come back to the hotel because of the breakfast!“

“Saw the picture of the chicken wings on Facebook and they looked like Grannies use to so I decided to stop by and get an order of them and I was not disappointed. They were hot seasoned and delicious, just like Grannies were back in the day. Now I know that I have a place to go to get some good food cooked to order hot and fresh at a fair price right off the Shawnee Expressway.
