“Brought my mother and two friends to eat a couple weeks ago....these are some really special people(friends) to us ...we used to eat at their Hammond restaurant before they relocated in Baton Rouge....and their food is still as it was in Hammond....THE BEST...the food was so delicious ...food was presented so beautiful on the plates ,it was almost to pretty to eat and our waiter was so kind to us all...if your looking for some great Chinese Cuisine then go no further....Go to Chengs“

“Has the general two's chicken, lo mein noodles, pork fried rice, and crab lagoons.....OMG sooooooooo good!!! I am super picky about Chinese food and this was delicious! Like old school family recipe, full of flavor, plenty of sauce, deliciousness! The best I've found in this area between plaquemine all the way to walker for sure! Portions even for lunch are huggggeeeee and prices are beyond reasonable. My mom and i split a lunch meal and still had left overs!“

“Use to get deliveries from here over 20 years ago. I pick up now but it's still delicious. Hot N spicy beef W white rice. The inside is clean but it's in an old shopping center so that's why atmosphere is a 4 not 5. Great food nice big portions.“

“China Town is the only place I go to for my vegetable fried rice. Let me tell you… they have THE BEST garlic sauce in town! When I began ordering from China Town, I had EVERYONE in my office ordering my exact order. We eat there at least 2 times a week. Service is swift. Food is great. They are kind. I will always go to China Town! : )“

“We like this place, easily in the top 3 of all Chinese food in Baton Rouge. We like the hot and spicy chicken (very spicy) Kung Pao chicken and Mongolian Beef (also spicy). Everything was a bit on the spicier side than expected but we love spicy here! so no complaint from me but just as a guide for others. I personally love it that a place actually makes the dishes that are supposed to be spicy actually spicy! At most other places even the dishes that are supposed to be spicy have zero heat to them, so I applaud this place!

The Beef and Broccoli is also great. Egg rolls and Crab Rangoon very good. Only thing we don't like is the teriyaki chicken it comes on a stick and was over cooked, it pretty tough but the crispy outside was nice and flavor good and the fried rice isnt the best I have ever had but most dishes have a sauce on the meat part and mixes well with the rice to make the rice so good! Staff are always very friendly and helpful, we will keep going here.“

“Food was good but the greatest part of my experience was the hostess, Mariana Galvan. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the most amazing ball of sunshine. She suggested the chicken dumplings. I’m so glad I listened to her. She’s amazing 🤩“

“The price is very authentic and is run by An elderly couple. There’s usually a three star but I get them 4 stars because they are lovely elderly peoplePros: The lady is really sweet and has asked me are you cool when the temperature outside is very cold. They seems like honest people and cook the food items now they must been there a long long time.Cons: Even though you already buy online or by phone the worst part is that you still have to come here and wait because they usually don’t go until you get here. If you have Free time that would not be a problem“

“Best Chinese food in the world. Everything is fresh and local. Fast friendly service. Good size portions. Another city and they'd be so busy you'd have to wait for a table. Another city and they could raise their prices. Whatever brought them here, I hope they stay here. “You all know the rules: Walk in to the place, observe the faded Duratran menu with about 25 dishes and burned-out backlighting, with the staff shouting in a foreign language the back. These are the indicators of an absolutely top tier Chinese restaurant, an explosion of diverse flavors for the best possible value. We'll be back!“

“Food was great, small selection so it was as overwhelming as most Chinese restaurants can be. The noodles were a bit dry but the teriyaki chicken made up for it. Its good with or without the teriyaki sauce they add. The place was clean and staff was courteous and welcoming.“

“I placed a pick up order and I ended up running behind and was not going to be getting there until after they had technically closed. The worker was very understanding and accommodating and allowed me to pick up my order even though they were officially closed. Seems like a small thing, but making an exception that makes the customer experience good even when he had no obligation to do so is very rare these days. Very good customer service and good food“

“I have yet to find a Chinese takeout place to rival Chinese Kitchen. 100% without a doubt the BEST crab Rangoons I’ve ever had. Great lo mein and protein entrees too. The only thing I dislike is the fried rice, but they have so many other good things that I don’t even miss the rice. I graduated from LSU a couple years ago and still make the occasional 20+ minute commute to come here“

“I had the honey chicken wings with vegetable lo mien, I would say it was good and fresh. The wings were a little on the sweet side but not too bad. The noodles were delicious. I would definitely order again. The fried dumplings were probably a 4 out of 10. They were really greasy and kind of pricey. I also had a Lemonade , it was delicious however just a tad bit on the sweet side. The service was quick but they are kind of unfriendly over the phone, and not too friendly in person either. The atmosphere was ok but looks like it would be better to take your food to go. Overall I would rate this place 8/10 ❤“

“It's being a while since | last when to china one since they change management, I decide to try it today (10/20/2016) order a chef special sesame chicken with lo mein, an egg drop soup and fried potato chunks, I went home and try it and omg it really surprise me it's good even tho they change management the lo mein are well flavorful and the sesame chicken my fav! It was sweet and crispy just like I like it some places don't do it as sweet but this one was great! And the egg drop soup is good can't never go wrong with the soup, the potato needed just a little bit of salt that's just my taste buds tho but they were great, I will be returning, the place was very clean and well stocked up the ladies there were super nice, my dinner was great today so good, my kids love it, keep up the great job china one!“

“Fastest 5 stars I've ever given. They exceeded expectations by arriving 25 mins earlier than quoted. Unlike other restaurants that use third party drivers(who smoke in their cars) China Wok uses their own employees. They had everything I wanted, including the rare sweet and sour pork!! And.. look! I only ordered ONE, but they gave me 6!!

“I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was steaming hot, freshly made just for us. I really appreciated the family-friendly vibe, especially in such a busy area like LSU. Even with all the traffic, the relaxing dining space offered a nice change of pace. While seating is somewhat limited, there was still plenty of room to feel comfortable. The owners are truly wonderful people who genuinely care about their food and customers, just as much as they do about their family and business. I ordered the spicy shrimp with mixed vegetables and extra gravy, along with lo mein noodles and a non-pork egg roll. My business partner tried the sesame seed chicken with egg fried rice. “I ordered food from Great Wall in Baker, LA, and the entire order was incorrect. I was also charged for eggs that I did not order, and I was told I should have a receipt. I specifically ordered Butterfly Shrimp, but I received something completely different.

This was my third time eating here, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I was very disappointed with the food, the accuracy of the order, and the overall service. In the future, I’ll choose to drive across town to Baton Rouge for a better experience.“
