“I love to eat here. The roast beef po-boy and shrimp plate are Great!! My favorite is the onion rings, they are delicious. Everything is good. I haven’t heard anyone complain about the food there. The staff are so friendly. I NEVER pass up a chance to eat at Shack 16 and I live south of I-12. Would definitely recommend Shack 16. 5 stars!!“

“Being born and raised in South Louisiana, when I see a chain restaurant serving “Cajun” food, it’s an immediate “NO!!!”

Simply because we wanted to gamble and try something new, we swung in. Holy crap!!!, the Roast beef Poboy was one of the best I’ve ever had, the side of red beans and rice may be the best in town and the bread pudding. It rivals most you’d get in NO.

In short, I was proven wrong, the food here is AMAZING and probably my new “go-to” in town!!!“

“edit to update: i recommend loactions otger than this one.after talking to someone at corporate they acknowledged this manager and her development opportunities needs to be addressed. they did resolve the situation at the corporate level. We went there tonight for my daughters 16th birthday. there were 13 of us and we were fine with the 1 hour wait. There was an older man working there that stayed he could get us set in about 15. when he said something the the female manager about it, she told him NO that she already told us an hour. he was very he was visibly upset as we're supposed to be his table. We waited our time to be sat. the server came and took our order and when they came, she didn't remember who ordered what, (13 person party it happens). refill time on drinks count remember who was drinking what. none of our orders had their potatoes in them. they did bring us a plate of potatoes after we pointed it out. asked for silverware three times , it never came. so I minded my business and when it came time to pay, our drink orders were messed up and on each other's bills. I politely asked for the corporate number, telling her it was nothing against her , just the experience as a whole. she asked me what was wrong with the service. she went to get the manager, at this point I went outside. the manager came to the table very abruptly asked "what's the problem". when the tables explained she stated we got out potatoes. took one of the cash paying people and had the nerve to ask if they wanted their change. no apologies, no offers to do anything to amend any of the mistakes. and that's fine. it was the VERY NASTY demeanor she had when addressing the issues. WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN AND I SHOULDVE WAITED THE HOUR HALF AT SEIGEN. That one is where we usually go and ran way better. I half expect a nasty reply to this. Also they were supposed to give my 16 yr old some beignets, but those never got brought either. easily a $300+ 13top.“

“The food we got here was just perfect. We had a small (NOT small!) fried shrimp po-boy and a catfish basket. The shrimp and catfish were fried just right; not over cooked, crispy and well seasoned. I liked the way the sandwich was dressed: enough but not too much. The bread was light and tender. The fries were seasoned just right!
It’s a small dining room, so that’s why 4 starts for “atmosphere.” But, it’s clean.
We didn’t use the drive thru, but there’s one available.
Nice selection of sandwiches and fried seafood baskets. There’s a kids’ menu, as well.
It’s not much further from I-12 than all the national chain restaurants and so very much better!“

“This place has never let me down. The potatoes are HUGE and make a couple meals for me. Their brownies are to die for and sandwiches excellent. But I am now back on low carb and tried the chef salad. OMG. Chock full of toppings and “good” lettuce, not the bad parts, and 2 big packs of dressing plus 2 packs of croutons. I always loved this place but this amazing salad might end up being 3 meals for me. It weighed a ton! If you haven’t tried this place, you are missing out. Consistency and premium ingredients make this my #1 go to for “fast food”with a homemade at home taste, not skimping on ingredients 🤗🤗🤗♥️♥️♥️“

“Worst ever buns not toasted fully dressed was not just buns and in togo box meat very raw in middle fries cooked in old oil real brown and hard $35 for two orders not right throwed it all away to upset to eat .... 5 stars you bet your a*****“

“By far the best seafood in town,fresh and perfectly cooked. Awesome onion rings are the best I ever had. No need to go anywhere else. Wide variety menu, child portions (Junior) for seafood which is plenty for an adult. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. This place has been here a very long time and is widely overlooked.“
