It has been a long time since I’ve had a hamburger that tasted like somebody put effort into it with vegetables that could have been used for a salad instead of hidden between buns. Also, don’t skip on the chocolate chip cookie!”

“I went to McDonald's yesterday morning for coffee as I often do. I was very pleasantly surprised at the young man who took my order, he was very polite and courteous. It is rare to find people like this anymore. Although I did not get his name, I will make it a point to , next time I visit for my morning coffee fix. He deserves recognition by the company for sure. I actually made a post about him yesterday on my facebook page and found out there are many of my friends who have encountered this young man and feel the same as I do.”

“Me and my husband stopped to get us some food otw home after staying at the campground and this was a great choice I got the marinated pork and Mac and cheese my husband got ribs over rice dressing and pork n beans best plate lunch we’ve had in a while and surely did not go to waste we will be making that 45 minute drive soon to try it again 💜💜”

I will say Billy’s is a must stop even if not staying in the area. We brought a bunch home. Used the leftover crawfish boudin from the night before with scrambled eggs the next morning! “This is a precious downtown spot for coffee! I popped in while in the area for work and was delighted. The two employees were super friendly and helpfully had a turkey and provolone croissant and it was so fresh and delicious. I wish I lived closer. I pass through here on I-49 regularly and this may be a new detour when I need a pick-me-up in my drive!”

“My husband and I travel to southern Louisiana the first weekend in May every year to partake in the crawfish festival. As a result, we like to dine at as many local establishments as possible and we always try to give an elaborate, detailed review. Let me preface this by saying I come from a family that owned a restaurant for 24 years and I have high standards. Since we come to town for crawfish, that is usually the first thing on the menu. It is not my favorite, but my husband loves it. So he ordered the crawfish(platter I think) which was a couple pounds with corn and potatoes. We were offered regular or spicy. Right here is where things get different. We eat a LOT of crawfish down here and we do our own crawfish boils. You can choose “spicy” and obtain that by leaving them in the pot for a few extra minutes to soak up the seasonings and they will be “spicy”. However, there are a few places that try to obtain the “spicy” by adding a powdered heat to it after they have been removed from the pot. If you like that way, that’s fine. We do not. We find that all it does is get all over your hands and face and really doesn’t add very much flavor to the meat at all. Each to their own. On the flip side. The crawfish were cooked and presented well and they were priced right. I had fried catfish. This too presented its own problems since it was brought on a basket, but I didn’t receive any napkins, a plate, or a fork. I did go and ask for them and received all of them. I realize that most people are ok to eat certain things with their hands, but I am a nurse by trade and I know what is lurking around on people’s hands. There will never be a day when I will eat anything with my hands. On the flip side. The catfish was phenomenal!! It was seasoned to perfection! Cooked exquisitely well and served hot! On a scale of 1-10. I’d give them a 7.5. It was good. The things they did good, they did really good.”
