“Aaron M was an incredibly attentive waiter. His suggestions were spot on. My wife said that the tuna was the best she ever ate. The scallibut that I had for dinner was delicious as well:)The salty malty was a perfect way to complete our meal.Don’t think twice…just come!Enjoy!!“
“So happy we had the opportunity to visit Dakar on a recent trip to New Orleans. The staff is so kind and welcoming, they were very accommodating when part of our party was late due to a flight delay. The meal starts with table side hand washing, a traditional way to welcome guests to the home. Then onto smaller bites; palm oil buns, fried cassava with crab and a lovely tea topped with mint foam. Favorites from the larger plates were gulf shrimp and fonyo, and a stew with beans, palm oil and lobster. Mid-way through the meal our hosts explained the significance of the dishes and their roots in Senegalese culture. A unique and delicious experience!“
“The food here was pretty good.I had the crawfish dip + sourdough bread, which was so yummy. The crawfish has this cheesy taste and the sourdough bread is crunchy.I had the WJ breakfast, which was okay. The bacon, grits, and sausage were just alright, nothing special. However, the biscuit had a soft, crisp texture that’s addicting. The service was really quick and the dishes came out fast. The staff here was also nice.“
“FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! We were referred by our spooky tour guide (shout out tony) and we decided to make a reservation. We were a little early and we waited at the bar area. I gotta say, the night started off rocky because there was a long hair older bartender (she did not have on her name tag) that was absolutely rude there. I asked her for something "coconutty" and with the most condescending rude tone she said "What?? Coconutty???! What do you even mean?? I mean I have Malibu rum, is that coconutty enough?" I said yes. Cashed us out immediately and asked everyone else around us if they wanted to run a tab while they waited for their table. Because we wasn't dressed to the 9s we already felt kinda outta place... so we debated on leaving. Decided to just wait and see if the wait staff was any better...and in walked Kevin. He. Was. Spectacular. He made great recommendations and was talkative, personable, and saved the night for us. So glad we stayed because the food was amazing. He is the reason you guys get a 5 star. I literally watched him watching his tables to be sure they were served quickly. We just loved him.“
“Great to find a cafe which is all vegan, so you don't need to search the menu for options.Vegetarian options: I had the Creole scrambled tofu "omelette" toast and an oat milk cappuccino. I found the portions small for the price paid. Cappuccino was good.Later in the day i returned to have another cappuccino with a vegan brownie, but I was disappointed as the brownie was a bit stale and dry.Still, it's great to have a completely vegan place, so you don't have to search the menu and can just pick up anything you fancy without having to read all ingredients.“
“We recommend. Had American breakfast. Super quality and very good price-performance ratio. Had 'Grits' for the first time and it was delicious. Very friendly and warm employees. Nice ambience. Restaurant has a large influx, speaks for itself.“
“This place was amazing. We had some issues with my Canadian number getting kicked off the wait list (be prepared for a wait) and we ended up waiting an hour for a table. However, as soon as Ty realized the issue, he and Blake were real quick to take care of us and bring us some comped mimosas and juices to make up for it. Service was phenomenal, great recommendations for food and so friendly. Now the food? Best thing we ate in Nola. Absolutely worth the wait and I’m still dreaming about it. We got the Couyon Daddy and the Hot Chicken Plate and they were both AMAZING. Yeah. Still dreaming about it.“
“We went for dinner at about 6:30 on a Friday night and it was fairly quiet. Our food came out within about 20 minutes, and tasted amazing - we went for the lemon pepper oyster wrap, a build your own plate with jackfruit ribs, Cajun greens, jambalaya and mac n cheese, with a side of avo fries. Would absolutely go back if we're visiting again!“
“Came here with a bachelorette party on Saturday and we were able to fit everyone at a table in the back. Staff was so sweet and accommodating. Self-order options and your food is brought to the table. Everyone enjoyed their food, particularly the boudin hash and berry chantilly. The wonderful band outside on a warm sunny Saturday afternoon was the cherry on top.“
“Enjoyed dinner here and had an incredible experience all the way around. Our server, Otto, had awesome energy and made us feel great about our choices. The Moon Moth drink was the best cocktail I’ve ever had and dinner/desert were delish.“
“Gorgeous art, excellent staff, and absolutely amazing food. I went here with my family and we all got something different and all enjoyed it. I wasn't sure about it because I've never really had Carribean food, but it turned out great. 10/10“
“Fantastic experience from start to finish! The food was beautifully prepared and every bite was perfect. An incredible menu full of flavor. The kitchen is gorgeous - a real show stopper. Service was flawless. Nicely done, Emeril! I can see the apple doesn't fall far from the tree - your son is doing some outstanding work. Such a wonderful dining experience. Well done!“
“Hivolt Coffee in New Orleans stands out as not just a coffee shop, but a staple in the local café scene, offering a delightful array of options that cater to the health-conscious without sacrificing taste or portion size. It has quickly become one of my favorite destinations for coffee and more in the city, thanks to its consistently high-quality offerings and welcoming atmosphere. The Oozy Breakfast paired with a latte is my go-to choice, a combination so satisfying that it leaves little desire to explore other options. The dishes here are not only incredibly tasty but are also generous in serving size, ensuring that you leave feeling fully satisfied. The latte, smooth and perfectly balanced, complements any meal choice wonderfully and showcases Hivolt's expertise in coffee making. One of the most commendable aspects of Hivolt is the demeanor of its staff. Every visit is met with kindness and patience, contributing significantly to the overall positive experience. Their approachability and efficiency make each interaction pleasant, from ordering to enjoying your meal and drink. The ambiance of Hivolt is further elevated by its selection of music, which enhances the relaxed and friendly environment. This, combined with the café's ample seating and decently fast WiFi, makes it an ideal spot for those looking to work remotely or simply enjoy a leisurely coffee break. The space is designed thoughtfully, allowing for both productivity and relaxation. In conclusion, Hivolt Coffee offers an exceptional experience for coffee lovers and health food enthusiasts alike. Its blend of delicious, healthy options, excellent coffee, friendly staff, and a conducive environment for work or leisure makes it a must-visit location in New Orleans. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Hivolt promises a welcoming space where quality and satisfaction are guaranteed.“
“Came on Tuesday, not very crowded. Heard they'd won a lot of awards. Well, it is good. Very good. The salad can feed 4 or more. Each Arepas is generous, not really meant to be cut in half and shared, as is our habit. My wife and I often say, I'm torn between A & B, (I'm torn between B & A), so we order both & switch partway through. Amusing sometimes seeing the faces on the wait staff. No Manhattans. Cachasa or Rum cocktails here.Apparently there was recent road repaving causing parking issues. We parked 20 feet to the door, no problem.“
“Oh my God... Read reviews on yelp and wanted to go to this restaurant... It did not disappoint. As a matter fact we've gone to several pizza places in New Orleans, and this is by far THE BEST! It was a Wednesday night so things were pretty chill. We had an awesome waitress, DD, who really made everything super comfortable and easy for us. Give us a different tasting of wine so we ordered a bottle and then a pizza... It was just a great evening highly recommend Theo s pizza! We will definitely be back! But sincere thank you to DD for making the experience. Wonderful.!“
“The food is soooooo good. The best brunch menu in Nola. Tried most things and it always slaps. Service is great.-1 for no reservations and long waits. I have no idea why they don’t give both the overworked hosts and customers a break by having a more streamlined res/waitlist system. Attempting Bearcat on the weekend is a competitive sport. Is it a reverse psychology thing? Like knowing you probably won’t get in so you want it even more? Having waited in the sun for an hour so the mimosas are extra refreshing? Lmk!“
“Wow. That is my immediate take away. I just devoured the best savory scone I have ever tasted. It was so incredible that after I finished it I wanted to call them to tell them. I stopped in for my first time this morning after reading about Levee and living close by. Service, staff, and atmosphere were fantastic but that scone .... Just Wow.“
“My first time here. I got an iced pistachio latte with oatmilk and my husband got a frozen mocha latte with oatmilk. We live on the northshore and had to go to the southshore for something and instead of stopping at Starbucks, we wanted to try something new! Definitely recommend. Customer service was great and our coffee order was delicious!“
“Amazing little hole in the wall bar with late night eats. Came here after seeing some reviews of the nuoc Cham crispy salt and pepper wings. Tristan/Dylan (manager? I believe) as well as all of the bartenders (Julian is a wonderful conversationalist. As well as a master mixologist to boot) are incredibly hospitable and have great recommendations. Gave me some floral gin to shoot with my nuoc Cham; don't knock it til you try it. It was like the first time I listened to Jimi Hendrix. Electro swing radio playing...My kinda place. The kitchen and back of house are incredibly friendly down to earth people as well had a nice convo with Claiborne. Come here for the food and drinks but stay for the hospitality.“
“Clean Creations’s food is full of flavor and its prepared with high quality ingredients. The staff at 1105 Lafayette in Gretna is very friendly and helpful. I had the Avocado toast for the first time last weekend, it was delicious and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend Clean Creations as an alternative to any other take out restaurant, its healthy, delicious and good for you. I will definitely come back to try new items on their menu.“
“It’s been many years since I dined at Bayona, and I’m pleased to say they haven’t missed a beat. The food was delicious, and a welcome change from the ever present bowls of gumbo and Po boys that dominate the Quarter. Spicer’s James Beard medal still hangs on the wall near the entrance and it’s a well placed testament to this very fine dining experience.Peter and the rest of the staff were old school in the best possible way; their service was top notch. If you’re thinking about where to eat while in New Orleans, make one night a Bayona night!Vegetarian options: The butternut squash entree was delightful for my vegetarian companion.“
“We are visiting from Pennsylvania. We happened to stop for lunch yesterday. The staff was welcoming and kind. The food was fantastic. I had the Ruby special and my husband had a Mac and cheese burger. The rest of the table had breakfast. Everyone loved their meal, even the picky grandkids! Thank you for a wonderful meal!“
“The food was excellent and the atmosphere great. We enjoyed the view of the bayou from our table. I had the etouffe and a side of jalapeno cheese grits. Both were excellent but the etouffe was different from what I'm used to - it had tomatoes and was more of a soupy dish. The flavor was very good and it was loaded with crawfish, just expect it to be different than in other parts of the state. Our service was slow and a bit inattentive overall which was the only disappointment. I'm looking forward to trying it again.“
“This was the first restaurant stop on my recent trip to New Orleans. The mission: "To enjoy some raw gulf oysters and try escargot for the first time". I learned quickly that parking is an absolute free for all down here so it took a couple laps around the block until we found something relatively close and within walking distance. They were also quite busy during the weekday so we opted to sit at the oyster bar instead of waiting for a table to clear.I didn't mind sitting at the oyster bar as it allowed us to have front row seating to the shucking process and we were able to get our oysters relatively quick. In the meantime, I ordered my escargot. Those oyster shuckers were busting their balls behind that bar top so kudos to them. That ticket machine kept on going so I feel for those guys!In regards to the food, the oysters were super fresh and delicious. There was a little grit or shell here and there but that was a minor inconvenience. The escargot was pretty good too. It sort of smelled like perch and had the texture of clams. It was served with a warm French baguette which paired extremely well with the leftover garlic butter that the snails were cooked in. No one was really chatty at the bar which was unfortunate but we left full so mission accomplished.“
“Don't sleep on this place! We finally tried it out tonight for dessert - got the matcha chocolate crepe and the strawberry Nutella. Sooo delicious. My fiance was raving about it for an hour. Both were delightful. The decor is very gen z (take that how you will, but we thought it was a cool and inviting hang out spot).“
“I'm not a coffee drinker but when my girlfriend goes here I sometimes get a lil treat. I do love their local vege selection and got some incredibly yummy kale there for cheaper than anywhere else I've seen. Also they gave me an empty coffee burlap sack to use in my mardi gras outfit so super appreciative of that.“
“We were looking for breakfast place and did not notice that this spot is vegetarian when we got there. When I saw the menu I was kind of disappointed, but when I tried their food, ohh god, this is the best bread I had in years. Food, service, everything, so even if you are afraid of places without meat like me, don't be, because they do have some delicious stuff everyone would like.“
“Some say the day starts when the sun rises, but any masters of life know time doesn't begin until you've stepped into Satsuma Cafe. Forget the fart (& whatever else) that freely flowed out of you in the early AM. No need to remember the muscle you pathetically pulled failing to reach the snooze button shortly after. Nothing before Satsuma matters. (And nothing after.) Married? Now you're single. A parent? There was never a child. Employed? Step directly to the cash register to completely omit any & all responsibilities. Who needs a paycheck, family or a life when the cuisine & vibes are this spectacular? Without Satsuma you are nothing. Make something of yourself - nay - make something EXTRAORDINARY of yourself & come support a cafe that will revolutionize the very core of your DNA. I had the lavendar lemonade and brunch hash. Was good. 5 stars.“
“Not only does this restaurant provides futures for underprivileged youths, they provide this delicious combination of flavors. The Donny in the back & the Cafe Hope burger upfront. The Donny is a chicken parm on homemade focaccia bread!!!! You guys go support them!@phidingthefam“
“We went to this place after seeing a tik tok about their Italian ice slushies. They’re right down the street from the fairgrounds. The atmosphere wasn’t entirely welcoming to us and parking was tough like every other good place in New Orleans but I’d go again when in the mood for delicious Italian ice slushies. Yummy!!“
“The place is geographically located close to the airport on a busy street.Restaurant offers Tasty food, the staff is caring. Portion size is pretty large compared to lots of other similar restaurants. There's a free parking lot as well.Parking: Free parking lot“
“Very quaint place! I really enjoyed the Hangover Eggs and the passion fruit margarita! The owner is very friendly and is very accommodating. He is very passionate about his business and takes his cooking very seriously! He was showing off his work and was very friendly to talk to! Highly recommend!“
“What a GEM! Just happened to pull into the lot this past Friday to check them out, and so glad I did! Tried the Gelato and it was very flavorful and satisfying. Took home a beautiful braided loaf of bread and it was a big hit with our pasta dinner on Sunday. Today I tried the chicken salad sandwich on super freshly baked focaccia bread, and it was just superb. If you love turtle cookies, you'll have to try theirs.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly for sure.“
“I eat here regularly, food is delicious, I usually get the stir fries, but the curries and noodle dishes are delicious, as an American that doesn't know anything about Thailand but eats at lots of Thai restaraunts in the US, this is one of the better ones I've been to. Maybe 99% of the time food is delicious for the past 2 years ive been coming here. Once in a blue moon I get something that is not quite as good as I'm used to.“
“They have gluten free and dairy free options that actually taste good! Staff were friendly and efficient as well. Would definitely recommend!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options! You can make pretty much anything on the menus gluten free and vegan. And it actually tastes good!“
“Food establishments are required to have a customer bathroom. At SUBWAY across the street people behind the counter would not give me the key after looking at each other for a few minutes they said it was out of order. Bought my food at this AMAZING cafe and paid roughly the same amount . The food was sooooo good, the service was AWESOME, the vibe was nice and we enjoyed it! SUBWAY'S loss was our gain!“
“I loooved everything about this place. The menu was interesting and the food and coffee was wonderful. The shop was cozy and filled with interesting and friendly people and an adorable cat. If I lived in New Orleans I'd come here every day!“
“Great food for a reasonable price. The staff is very kind and helpful. We only tried the pizza which was really well made. We enjoyed the crispy thin crust. They have a variety of toppings for pizzas and are willing for personal modifications. They also have a "build your own" pizza option. Would highly recommend!“
“I love this restaurant! It is so awesome! It's a perfect place to go and get some work done because their Wi-Fi is bomb. Bring your own source of power if you're going to be there and need to use your laptop, because the only place you can charge are on two walls and they're usually full. There is a vegan menu and parking is on the streetVegetarian options: Menu is all vegan“
“What a treasure to find gluten free and sugar free treats. My favorite is the savory though. Seafood stromboli !!!!I've probably had every item in there at least once cause I gotta try it out and new items are always coming from Susan too ????? ???Vegetarian options: The strawberry shortcake is a vegan option and even though I'm not a vegan...it's fantastic“
“I've been eating here since I was a toddler. I'm almost 30 now and the food has been consistently consistent for all those years. Never have I ever seen someone not like what they ordered. Unfortunately we moved due to the hurricane, but EVERYTIME we go back, Pizza Kitchen is always the staple of our visit.“
“I ordered a small thin crust of anchovies and onion. The ingredients were fresh. The pizza was delicious. Service was fast, friendly and efficient! The wait staff came over several times to see if we needed anything or drink refills. I'd definitely go again!“
“Fav breakfast place without a doubt. All the staff are 5 star humans and I like them more than any other places around! And the food is always amazing. I regularly get the Tuscan bagel and it’s so delicious.Couldn’t recommend laurel street bakery enough! They will take little things you like (such as a bit extra toasted or just egg whites) and implement them without the slightest sign of annoyance like I’ve experienced in some other spots. If you haven’t been here def come try them out!“
“This place has good food with lots of vegan/ vegetarian and gluten free options. It is very much a pick up food spot since it is in the market area. The market does have seating nearby, if not there are park benches around the market as well, but I took it for pick up to a bar that does not serve food. I had the vegan crab cake po’boy which was good, so I can only imagine that the traditional crab cake po’boy is amazing as well! I would most definitely come back to try that out or any of the other delicious looking options. They had a variety of food options with a lot of traditional New Orleans fares as well like red beans, okra gumbo and beignets. So I would say this is a great place to try some true NOLA foods. Also, true to the NOLA spirit, they also sell alcohol! Yay! Parking around this area is rough, so if you must park, I would recommend the parking lot a few blocks away.Vegetarian options: Just about all options had a vegan/vegetarian counter.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options, vegan/ vegetarian options“
“Our new favorite lakefront restaurant!Everything was prepared perfectly and the views of course are stunning. You can't go wrong with any dish! ❤️We especially recommend the broiled whole stuffed flounder (head and tail on), blacked mahi mahi, and the combo platter with fried shrimp and oysters. For your sides, be sure to try the stone ground cheese grits! ?The staff were all very warm and friendly, and Ryan's recommendations were on point! As fellow foodies, we had a great time chatting with him about restaurants, cooking, and random trivia! ?The vibe is laid back and casual, although some people do dress up for their special occasions. Due to the window seats, outdoor seating area, and spacious lower deck, it's a great location to reserve for birthdays, anniversaries, parties, and other events.Note there is an elevator to the second floor entrance, and there is a wheelchair accessible restroom.Highly recommend!Parking: Free parking lot but limited number of spots.I always go at less busy times, but I think people park on the lakefront and walk when the lot is full. (Driver may drop off and pick up passengers). Not sure if they offer valet service when it's really busy.Elevator to second floor entrance available.“
“Food at this restaurant is superb, not only do they make their own pasta but the pizzas are delicious. You can see that the chef really knows not only his ingredients but is passionate about food and that makes all the difference when it comes to excellent food and also service!Parking: Location is great“
“Friendly, great environment and food was fabulous. We had brunch, with delicious mimosas made from freshly squeezed orange juice. Melt in your mouth pancakes, awesome breakfast sandwich, baked goods were top notch (that coarse sea salt- really next level). I suggest you get there early, but the wait moves quickly.“
“Upon entering, Rex cashier/ waiter patiently professionally waited on us. We love Shane's Barbacue, Mac & cheese, baked beans, fried okra & a variety of foods & the sauces are delicious! ? a nice outing for a couple or group.“
“The pizza never disappoints....the crust is crispy and the toppings are generous. Everyone in the location from cook to server is committed to giving the customer. Great customer service, and a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant itself is small and quaint the parking is a challenge, but worth the effort.“
“My family and I love, love, love to eat here. Feels like family! Our server is always nice and helpful, and always get our orders correct. The serving portions are excellent. Pricing is a bit high, but it's made up for by service, cleanliness, and the amount of food. Plus, the bathrooms are always available.“
