“I really wish I could remember our server's name he was fantastic. An average height guy with a pony tail and goatee. Walked in without a reservation and the hostess was super nice and got us a table outside. The waiter was great at explaining the soup of the day and my daughter loves it. It was a beef stew. I got the pollo pizza and my partner got the margarita and they were both on point. I love the crispy crust. Overall a great experience.“
“I ordered a small thin crust of anchovies and onion. The ingredients were fresh. The pizza was delicious. Service was fast, friendly and efficient! The wait staff came over several times to see if we needed anything or drink refills. I'd definitely go again!“
“La Madeleine never disappoints on catering orders. Ordering online is easy and the staff are friendly and willing to accommodate. Shawanda was a big help today when placing my order. She was kind and customer oriented and gladly updated my order. My order was for 40, and this is not my first time ordering. They do a great job all the time!“
“GW Fins is without a doubt, one of the best seafood restaurants I've been too in a long time. This place has been recommend by nearly every restaurant guide in New Orleans and it really doesn't disappoint. The lobster bisque was delicious. The halibut was is their signature dish and really goes well with the risotto. I also got the creme brulee, which both people beside me got as well after seeing me get out. As for cocktails, you can't go wrong with the Cajun old fashioned and the French 75. It's highly recommend that you set reservations, as it was one of the busiest restaurants in New Orleans.“
“"I've been a fan of this restaurant for its exceptional food, a dish we never fail to order and always enjoy. However, during our latest visit, the service fell short of expectations, leading me to remove a star from my usual rating.“
“So happy we had the opportunity to visit Dakar on a recent trip to New Orleans. The staff is so kind and welcoming, they were very accommodating when part of our party was late due to a flight delay. The meal starts with table side hand washing, a traditional way to welcome guests to the home. Then onto smaller bites; palm oil buns, fried cassava with crab and a lovely tea topped with mint foam. Favorites from the larger plates were gulf shrimp and fonyo, and a stew with beans, palm oil and lobster. Mid-way through the meal our hosts explained the significance of the dishes and their roots in Senegalese culture. A unique and delicious experience!“
“Fantastic Sunday Jazz Brunch. Great food, Attentive service. Nice atmosphere. I started with a bloody mark. Delicious and affordable. I ordered the turtle soup, which was flavorful. I hadn't eaten it before. The egg hash was excellent. My wife ordered the mushroom soup and loved it. The po-boy with egg was good but salty. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Music was enjoyable. And the location off Jackson Square was great.“
“This is one of the best lunch cafes I have ever been to! I am a vegetarian and sandwich options are always so limited anywhere else. So many options I had a hard time deciding. Even if you’re not vegetarian you should check this place out!!“
“We went yesterday and the wait was 2 hours. Got there a little earlier today and we got in. I’ve eaten at the Uptown location and was so happy they opened up another one that’s closer. It was my daughter’s first time and she said the food is so good and understands why there is a wait.“
“What’s left of my not crab cake and RA pasta…the BEST vegan and GF food I’ve ever had!!!! I thought for sure I would be sick…no way my allergy food could be this tasty and comparable to “real food” nope!!!! Not sick at all! I felt like I was eating “bad” food. Thank y’all so much because I can’t eat anything just anywhere! Will be back!!!!!“
“The best breakfast spot that I found while visiting New Orleans......I visited Two Chicks Cafe kn my birthday and omg the barbecue shrimp and grits were amazing and let's not forget about their French toast and Ashley was so sweet and kind.“
“Amazing experience even at the bar. Great spirits selection, knowledgeable bar tenders that care, and amazing food. The BBQ shrimp was delicious yet simple. The chicory Manhattan was sweet, decadent, and savory. The barrel proof Weller was oaky, sweet, and hot. The traditional punch was sever with pizzaz and had neutral Asian flavors. Well worth the expense! Sean was a great bartender that walked us through our option and had great attention to detail!“
“The food is soooooo good. The best brunch menu in Nola. Tried most things and it always slaps. Service is great.-1 for no reservations and long waits. I have no idea why they don’t give both the overworked hosts and customers a break by having a more streamlined res/waitlist system. Attempting Bearcat on the weekend is a competitive sport. Is it a reverse psychology thing? Like knowing you probably won’t get in so you want it even more? Having waited in the sun for an hour so the mimosas are extra refreshing? Lmk!“
“Came on Tuesday, not very crowded. Heard they'd won a lot of awards. Well, it is good. Very good. The salad can feed 4 or more. Each Arepas is generous, not really meant to be cut in half and shared, as is our habit. My wife and I often say, I'm torn between A & B, (I'm torn between B & A), so we order both & switch partway through. Amusing sometimes seeing the faces on the wait staff. No Manhattans. Cachasa or Rum cocktails here.Apparently there was recent road repaving causing parking issues. We parked 20 feet to the door, no problem.“
“Great service, tasty food and a lively atmosphere. Our waiter gave us wonderful suggestions. The sides are just as good as the tacos. The Bacon Smothered Greens and Ancho Mashed Potatoes were so good and different than anything like them I've ever tasted! We also shared the Banana Bread Pudding and took a bag of cookies home to snack on tomorrow. We plan to return to The Rum House again and try some other tasty food.“
“Oh my God... Read reviews on yelp and wanted to go to this restaurant... It did not disappoint. As a matter fact we've gone to several pizza places in New Orleans, and this is by far THE BEST! It was a Wednesday night so things were pretty chill. We had an awesome waitress, DD, who really made everything super comfortable and easy for us. Give us a different tasting of wine so we ordered a bottle and then a pizza... It was just a great evening highly recommend Theo s pizza! We will definitely be back! But sincere thank you to DD for making the experience. Wonderful.!“
“After walking for hours, I chilled at the bar. First up, quenched my thirst with the Frozen Pomagranite Mojito. Worth the brain freeze. I had the Superior Oysters and the crawfish beignets. Excellent! Pricey, but seafood always is. Bartender very attentive.“
“Hits and missesGood: loaded Korean fries, brussel sprouts, Sad Boy cocktailDo not get the mushroom pho if you have any expectations of it tasting like pho. Deeply needed salt, the mushrooms and noodles were all wrong, and not a bok choy to be found.“
“It’s been many years since I dined at Bayona, and I’m pleased to say they haven’t missed a beat. The food was delicious, and a welcome change from the ever present bowls of gumbo and Po boys that dominate the Quarter. Spicer’s James Beard medal still hangs on the wall near the entrance and it’s a well placed testament to this very fine dining experience.Peter and the rest of the staff were old school in the best possible way; their service was top notch. If you’re thinking about where to eat while in New Orleans, make one night a Bayona night!Vegetarian options: The butternut squash entree was delightful for my vegetarian companion.“
“Wow. That is my immediate take away. I just devoured the best savory scone I have ever tasted. It was so incredible that after I finished it I wanted to call them to tell them. I stopped in for my first time this morning after reading about Levee and living close by. Service, staff, and atmosphere were fantastic but that scone .... Just Wow.“

“My first time here. I got an iced pistachio latte with oatmilk and my husband got a frozen mocha latte with oatmilk. We live on the northshore and had to go to the southshore for something and instead of stopping at Starbucks, we wanted to try something new! Definitely recommend. Customer service was great and our coffee order was delicious!“
“Hivolt Coffee in New Orleans stands out as not just a coffee shop, but a staple in the local café scene, offering a delightful array of options that cater to the health-conscious without sacrificing taste or portion size. It has quickly become one of my favorite destinations for coffee and more in the city, thanks to its consistently high-quality offerings and welcoming atmosphere. The Oozy Breakfast paired with a latte is my go-to choice, a combination so satisfying that it leaves little desire to explore other options. The dishes here are not only incredibly tasty but are also generous in serving size, ensuring that you leave feeling fully satisfied. The latte, smooth and perfectly balanced, complements any meal choice wonderfully and showcases Hivolt's expertise in coffee making. One of the most commendable aspects of Hivolt is the demeanor of its staff. Every visit is met with kindness and patience, contributing significantly to the overall positive experience. Their approachability and efficiency make each interaction pleasant, from ordering to enjoying your meal and drink. The ambiance of Hivolt is further elevated by its selection of music, which enhances the relaxed and friendly environment. The space is designed thoughtfully, allowing for both productivity and relaxation. In conclusion, Hivolt Coffee offers an exceptional experience for coffee lovers and health food enthusiasts alike. Its blend of delicious, healthy options, excellent coffee, friendly staff, and a conducive environment for work or leisure makes it a must-visit location in New Orleans. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Hivolt promises a welcoming space where quality and satisfaction are guaranteed.“
“We wanted to try something new for dessert and found this place while driving down Severn. After reading over the menu option — there is a wide variety of sweet & savory items — we settled on a dark chocolate milk shake and crème brûlée crepe with strawberries. Absolutely amazing! We did not expect it to be as delicious as it was and now we can’t wait to come back for another sweet crepe. Definitely recommend giving this a try if you haven’t already.“
“Authentic flavors. I had the flounder and the Spanish garlic shrimp. These were by far the best Salvadorian cuisine I ever sampled , not to mention a freshly brewed cup of coffee. Definitely worth the wait time before the food is served to you!Kid-friendliness: Waiter/owner was very friendly“
“We were looking for breakfast place and did not notice that this spot is vegetarian when we got there. When I saw the menu I was kind of disappointed, but when I tried their food, ohh god, this is the best bread I had in years. Food, service, everything, so even if you are afraid of places without meat like me, don't be, because they do have some delicious stuff everyone would like.“
“Fantastic, impressive store. The staff was very hospitable, the pizza looked super nice, the best looking pizza I've ever seen, and it tasted delicious. If I lived in the neighborhood I would definitely shop there more often, but unfortunately I'm leaving for a few days。“
“I'm not a coffee drinker but when my girlfriend goes here I sometimes get a lil treat. I do love their local vege selection and got some incredibly yummy kale there for cheaper than anywhere else I've seen. Also they gave me an empty coffee burlap sack to use in my mardi gras outfit so super appreciative of that.“
“Great food for a reasonable price. The staff is very kind and helpful. We only tried the pizza which was really well made. We enjoyed the crispy thin crust. They have a variety of toppings for pizzas and are willing for personal modifications. They also have a "build your own" pizza option. Would highly recommend!“
“Food establishments are required to have a customer bathroom. At SUBWAY across the street people behind the counter would not give me the key after looking at each other for a few minutes they said it was out of order. Bought my food at this AMAZING cafe and paid roughly the same amount . The food was sooooo good, the service was AWESOME, the vibe was nice and we enjoyed it! SUBWAY'S loss was our gain!“
“We went to this place after seeing a tik tok about their Italian ice slushies. They’re right down the street from the fairgrounds. The atmosphere wasn’t entirely welcoming to us and parking was tough like every other good place in New Orleans but I’d go again when in the mood for delicious Italian ice slushies. Yummy!!“
“The place is geographically located close to the airport on a busy street.Restaurant offers Tasty food, the staff is caring. Portion size is pretty large compared to lots of other similar restaurants. There's a free parking lot as well.Parking: Free parking lot“
“I was in Tremé for four days, and I ate and drank coffee at Fatmas each and every single one of those days. The coffee was amazing. The food was delicious and their pastries were just beautiful. I loved the atmosphere and the outside seating. There’s even a couple of open windows where you can just stand and look out and feel the breeze while you’re waiting for your food. I wish that I lived closer so that I could go there every day.“
“This place has good food with lots of vegan/ vegetarian and gluten free options. It is very much a pick up food spot since it is in the market area. The market does have seating nearby, if not there are park benches around the market as well, but I took it for pick up to a bar that does not serve food. I had the vegan crab cake po’boy which was good, so I can only imagine that the traditional crab cake po’boy is amazing as well! I would most definitely come back to try that out or any of the other delicious looking options. They had a variety of food options with a lot of traditional New Orleans fares as well like red beans, okra gumbo and beignets. So I would say this is a great place to try some true NOLA foods. Also, true to the NOLA spirit, they also sell alcohol! Yay! Parking around this area is rough, so if you must park, I would recommend the parking lot a few blocks away.Vegetarian options: Just about all options had a vegan/vegetarian counter.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options, vegan/ vegetarian options“
“Fav breakfast place without a doubt. All the staff are 5 star humans and I like them more than any other places around! And the food is always amazing. I regularly get the Tuscan bagel and it’s so delicious.Couldn’t recommend laurel street bakery enough! They will take little things you like (such as a bit extra toasted or just egg whites) and implement them without the slightest sign of annoyance like I’ve experienced in some other spots. If you haven’t been here def come try them out!“
“As some with multiple, severe food restrictions, Lamara was a wonderful surprise. Almost everything is gluten-free, and I had numerous dairy free and mammal free options as well.Vegetarian options: So many options! Try the Spring Roll bowl!Dietary restrictions: I am gluten-free and have alpha-gal. Earing out is always challenging and often disappointing. It was wonderful to have so many options.Kid-friendliness: Open space, bright and airy.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide open spaces and hallways.“
“Awesome food, big portions, reasonable prices, and friendly service. We found this place on the second morning of our vacation, and went there again for breakfast on the day we left because it was that good. Support this place, folks, because I want it to be there next time I go back to New Orleans.“
“I dont know how I made it through my first 18 months of Keto not knowing about this place. I went with my daughter (who isn't keto) to pick up a few goodies for me to try. she asked me to get her cookies while there, and I warned her "it is keto" (she always complains about my "keto food") but she wanted it anyway. She got cinnamon cookies and I got key lime cookies plus a strawberry pie and olive bread. Everything was so good! I've tried baking my own keto baked goods for the lady year and a half and crumbly or too soft baked goods is my biggest complaint. The texture and taste of everything I got was so good! To both of us. I will definitely be back.“
“This is such a great place. Everyone should check it out!! The food is absolutely amazing. You can't go wrong with anything you order! We all had the crepes for breakfast. I really loved the banana crepes the most. My son had the egg & havarti crepe, which was phenomenal & also came with a small salad with the most amazing dressing. The only thing I didn't love was the coffee. The server seemed unsure about it, and it was lukewarm & overly bitter. I also asked for some oat milk, of which she brought less than a teaspoon in a little cup, which wasn't quite enough even for my small cup of coffee. I didn't notice the coffee station in the room until later, or I would have walked over to see what the options there were. Even so, one bad cup of coffee wasn't enough to overshadow how wonderful the rest of our meal was!I would definitely go here again!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian items!Dietary restrictions: Lots of GF, including crepes & cheese bread!“
“Food was very good, especially the marinated crab claws, seafood gumbo and cheese biscuits.Unfortunately, they were out of chargrilled oysters.Service is very good. The sunset observed through the windows was beautiful. The dining room can get a little loud.“
“Friendly, great environment and food was fabulous. We had brunch, with delicious mimosas made from freshly squeezed orange juice. Melt in your mouth pancakes, awesome breakfast sandwich, baked goods were top notch (that coarse sea salt- really next level). I suggest you get there early, but the wait moves quickly.“
“We arrived in New Orleans after Mardi Gras and found this gem. The food prepared by Nekole, the chef, was fantastic! She made everything from the dressing on the salads to the delectable cream sauce on the pasta. Everything was superb. The service from Deroi was also just as excellent. Our first real impression of New Orleans which made it extremely memorable. This fantastic place is adjacent to the Blake Hotel downtown. Don't miss it!“
“The second you walk into this restaurant, you can feel the history in this restaurant. From the use of an old cashier register to pictures showing the restaurant back in 1919. You can feel that this is a well loved local restaurant. What caught our eye with this restaurant was their Chargrilled Oysters. I've never had oysters this was so I had to try them! One of my friends never had oysters and she really liked them. I told her this is probably a good starter oyster for those who don't eat seafood too often. The oysters were filled with garlic and butter, can't go wrong with this combo. To get the most of all the seafood, we ordered the seafood platter which comes with fried oysters, shrimp, crab claws, and a choice of the trout or catfish. We chose the trout and had an order of the catfish as well. This was a ton of food for three people and I feel as though it is a shame to waste seafood. Our favorites were the shrimp and catfish out of the seafood. The fried seafood wasn't too salty which helped as we were eating a bunch of fried food. We didn't like the crab claws as much and could skip that next time. We really enjoyed Casamento's as it's a cute little casual restaurant and reasonably priced! It's cute how there's someone shucking oysters at the front while you wait. If you want some seafood, this is a place you gotta try!“
“Although they were short staffed, the server was wonderful and the pizza was delicious. I recommend the thin crust. Some family members raved about the Cajun Shrimp pizza. I’d have given 5 stars except the restaurant was not very wheelchair accessible. I might have made it over the threshold. But, I wasn’t sure and didn’t want to get thrown out of my chair. So, we ate outside. The worst part was that the bathroom had a large concrete curb you had to step up on. There was no option for me.“
“The pizza never disappoints....the crust is crispy and the toppings are generous. Everyone in the location from cook to server is committed to giving the customer. Great customer service, and a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant itself is small and quaint the parking is a challenge, but worth the effort.“
“Upon entering, Rex cashier/ waiter patiently professionally waited on us. We love Shane's Barbacue, Mac & cheese, baked beans, fried okra & a variety of foods & the sauces are delicious! ? a nice outing for a couple or group.“
“What a GEM! Just happened to pull into the lot this past Friday to check them out, and so glad I did! Tried the Gelato and it was very flavorful and satisfying. Took home a beautiful braided loaf of bread and it was a big hit with our pasta dinner on Sunday. Today I tried the chicken salad sandwich on super freshly baked focaccia bread, and it was just superb. If you love turtle cookies, you'll have to try theirs.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly for sure.“
